Wise decision.

Take some advice from an "old" Christian. (an old person as well ). Be very discerning about every thing that calls itself Christian. Compare everything to the word of God and what does not line up, toss out. And don't accept everything you hear as truth, even if it comes from somebody you trust. And be patient with yourself. It takes years to learn. In fact, it takes a lifetime.
I second this "old person"'s advice  ;)

Well I walked right into that one, didn't I?

Just wait you young whippersnapper! You'll be my age someday and I'll be...uh....still old. That didn't work out right.

One is not going to experience the wishy washy doctrine on "The Shepherd's Chapel" TV show. They hide it very well.
some false teachers are blatant, like Hinn, but some hide it so well people think if it doesn't look like Hinn they aren't false teachers.

Yes, I turned 63 chronologically April 8 and 46 spiritually May 18. :godisgood: My avatar, which was taken last fall, shows how I looked at 62 and a half; I still look the same. However, my hair is longer; I haven't decided how long it will be. It's naturally curly (especially in the back where you can't see it) and doesn't look as long as it is.
