hey all.

i've heard lots from lots of people.

alot say that christianity is a religion -
alot say that christianity isn't a religion but a relationship -
a few say that christianity is a dying religion
a few say that christianity is more then just a relationship
few say that christianity is both a relationship and religion.

so what are your thoughts? is there any scripture supporting it?

Christianity as the world knows it, is one of the great world religions (i.e. all of Christendom) is a religion.
True Biblical Christianity is not; it is a relationship.

"Religion" contains the requirement of an organized system of beliefs, including rules and steps which must be followed. Catholicism is a perfect example.

Christianity is none of that. Salvation, thus eternal life, is by grace through faith, the gift of God. No system, rules, and steps are involved. One enters into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, in faith believing all that God has promised. The "works" that follow salvation arise out of the joy of knowing that Jesus paid it all; that I have Good News to share with others.

There are steps that need to be followed, however. One is drawn...believes...justified.
