We seem to be mired in the time and place. The fact of the Virgin Birth is one of many credentials which Jesus has shown to all mankind. Exactly where and when are not that important. Jesus does say to remember His death. there is no such command regarding His birth. There is an abundance of man-made doctrine in the hallowed halls of Christendom. Ecumenism is an insidious cancer.
The real question: Why do two major "Christian Holydays" coincide with pagan idolatry? This creates a lot of confusion--harming the cause of Christ. God does not author confusion.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
