Christ's Sheep Have Eternal Life NOW

he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

You don't believe the record, as you claim that Christ is a failure, just like Noel Smith did when he wrote, "...hell is a ghastly monument to the failure of the Triune God to save the multitudes who are there . . . sinners go to hell because God Almighty couldn't save them! He did all He could. He failed." - Is God a Failure? (libcfl.com)

Yes, He did. Otherwise, you are claiming that Christ shed His blood in vain.

Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire.

(emphasis mine)
Does not say Christ did not give His soul for them.

2 Peter 2:1, ". . . But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. . . ."

Jude 1:4, ". . . For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. . . ."

1 John 5:10, , ". . . he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. . . ."

My post #22. How can one call God a liar, if Christ did not buy them?

@KenH, Explain what is the will of God not done in Matthew 7:21? ". . . Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. . . ."

@KenH, You have got to do better at studing God's word.

You think I am wrong on a point? Where are we actually disagreeing and why?

You are not making any sense.

You tend to be really, really cryptic in what you post. It sounds as if you are saying that Christ shed His blood for some people but not completely, or some such nonsense.

I hold Christ gave His soul for everyone.
1 Timothy 2:6, ". . . Who gave himself a ransom for all, . . ."

I hold Christ gave His soul for everyone.

So you believe that Christ died for everyone and yet everyone will not be saved; thus, you believe that everyone whose sin debt was paid by Christ will not be saved. Correct?

Only as an offered gift. The gift must be accepted as that gift. Matthew 7:21. Romans 6:23, ". . . For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. . . ."

Matthew 7:21-23, ". . . Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. . . ."

1 John 5:9-13, ". . . If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. . . ."

The gift can't be merited, so many think they can merit it are to be rejected by Jesus. The gift not accepted is to call God a liar.

Do you understand these three conditions regarding the bought gift?

1) Trying to merit it.
2) Denying the gift being offered.
3) Receiving the gift.

Salvation is either by free grace or free will. And it cannot be by free will as man does not have free will and, even if he did have free will, it would have been corrupted beyond human remedy when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden.

Thus, salvation is by free grace, not dependent on any action or thought or word by some alleged "free will" or inherent ability of man, as God plainly teaches in His Word.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Acts of the Apostles 16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

Acts of the Apostles 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

(emphasis mine)

Salvation is by the free, sovereign grace of God!!! Period.

Christ met ALL of the conditions for His people. That is what the Bible teaches and that is what the natural man rebels against as he insists that he must share at least something of the glory for salvation.

What is the will of the Father to have been done? Matthew 7:21?

Where in my post did I claim "free" will? The only will I mentioned was doing God's will. Matthew 7:21. What was God's will not done? Matthew 7:22.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
1 John 5:11-13.
3) Receiving the gift.
Christ met ALL of the conditions for His people.
So are you claiming the buyer giver is also receiver of the gift on our behalf?

Who says once a person is born anew, they do not have at that instant, eternal life together with Christ? I may have missed it but I have not seen anyone make a declarative statement to that effect.

However, I did see this tid-bit in the OP:
"justified by his righteousness, and sanctified by his grace, will live forever and ever"

How are we justified? By the washing of regeneration, aka the circumcision of Christ.
How are we sanctified by His grace? By God transferring individuals into Christ's spiritual body, thus setting us apart, based on His gracious choice to credit our faith in the truth as righteousness.
