Church dismisses pastor who came out as transgender in Sunday sermon
Member Anne McKye, speaking on behalf of the church’s executive council, wrote a letter to the congregation July 20 reporting that a congregational vote drew 52 percent of votes in favor of dismissing the pastor and 48 percent in favor of retaining the pastor. A total of 111 ballots were cast. Joplin reported the vote as 58 to 53.

“The last five weeks have been a difficult time in the life of our church as our discussion and decision about our future with or without Pastor Joplin has come suddenly and resulted in a wide range of strongly held views on how to proceed...”

Mental illness is parading today as somehow "normal" in so much of society. I've been a pastor just a few months short of 50 years and watching the death-spiral of a world loosed from the anchor of reality, truth, biblical values and decency.

That Baptist church has no issues with a female pastor (don't get me started on that mess). Their pastor who was dismissed is a male and been their pastor for years. Now he claims to be a female. Of course not true gender/xy chromosome science but simply on the mental issue of his emotional claim.

52% could not stomach such abomination and voted him out.

That 48% could have him as a pastor while parading as a female speaks volumes of how far the perverting thinking of modern humanity has gone.

Far leftist society wants to teach there are male, female, binary, floating, trans/back-and-forth and a hundred other so-called "genders". Gen 5:1-2 "When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female".

I feel like if only 52% has a problem with the "transgender pastor," they have much bigger issues than just this one thing. They left all kind of gates open to get to that point. Finally 52% decided they needed to close a gate, for some reason.

That 52% better make some quick changes in their church constitution -
Better yet - that 48% needs to leave - at least they know of a pastor......

'It is not in God's will that June remain as our pastor,' the church said

A pastor in Canada was fired for "theological reasons," her church said, after coming out as transgender in an online sermon.

The Rev. Junia "June" Joplin, who is originally from North Carolina, surprised some in June with the announcement at Lorne Park Baptist Church in Mississauga, Ontario, during a service held online due to the coronavirus lockdown.

“I want you to hear me when I tell you that I'm not just supposed to be a pastor. I'm supposed to be a woman," Joplin said. "My friends, my family, my name is Junia. You can call me June. I'm a transgender woman and my pronouns are she and her."

She has been invited to preach at other 'woke' (evil seats of satan) churches which happen to be baptist as the one mentioned.

Since church services via Zoom are the “new normal,” she noted, she already has been invited to preach for several churches beyond Toronto. This Sunday, she will be the guest preacher for St. Charles Avenue Baptist Church of New Orleans.

So he was qualified, then she disqualified himself, because in the truth of the matter, she wasn't really qualified when he was ordained?... Yeah that makes perfect sense to me... Brother Glen:confused:

3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

"Nobody intentionally misgendered me or did anything that was intentionally disrespectful so there has been a grace and kindness through the entire process."

Seems somebody misgendered him but it wasn't God (yes, Y1, I know yours was sarcasm). Wonder if he could ever imagine how disrespectful to God his intentionally misgendering himself is. Funny how they get these things so completely backward.
