Agree with Webdog. Can't compel someone to do something ONLY for h0m0sexu@ls that you don't compel them to do for others.
Article is from World Net Daily and quotes Rush Limbaugh. Wow, that's a really, really credible source, especially with Rush doing his patented leading question technique of "arguing".

Nothing. The government cannot compel individuals to provide religious rites.
So, God fearing preachers stop signing marriage licenses. We just go down to the county clerk's office have a civil marriage. Then we come back to the church for a religious ceremony. Happened all the time in the former Soviet Union.
I wholly disagree and feel that since the courts are fighting Christians standing on the Word of God in so many situations, a pastor denying marrying a gay couple will soon result in facing court.
I don't think it will get to that, but it might end up being an issue for litigation.
The government can't do anything to churches or ministers who refuse to marry couples based in any number of issues. This was tried during Reconstruction, well kinda, and it didn't work.

I'm agreeing with Ann here. Come on you all know how the activist homosexuals are. They will find a case and push it through with high dollar lawyers and liberal judges until they force their immorality upon the church. It isn't the same as not marrying a non-member because it is going to be a HOT button issue if they are allowed to marry. I will also make a claim that we will see it much earlier than 10 years from now.

Churches don't marry. Pastors/ministers marry who they choose.
It is not within any reasonable expectation now that churches will be 'forced' to perform weddings for same-sex couples, but it is easy to see the legal theory that may emerge over the coming years or decades. That is, that if minister is going to be a 'civil servant' in officiating at ceremony which creates a legal contract, then, like a judge who does so, he must offer his services in a "nondiscriminatory manner." Else, any wedding ceremony done in a church and/or by a religious (only) leader has no legal standing.
If anyone thinks this is far-fetched, just consider how long ago? 50 years? 40? 30?... that is was quite far-fetched that any "same-sex marriage" anywhere would have any legal standing. The more Obamas, Feinsteins, and Ginsburgs we have in office, the more satanic we become.
