Their view of eschatology is that prophecy is entirely symbolic-- there is no rapture, no millennial kingdom, no third temple-- because the Kingdom means the churches of Christ and the temple is that body. Meanwhile, they want to make the point so strongly that the first churches were C of C's, but mock Pentecostals for their 'spiritual' activities and 'miracles', even though these were instructed by the book they claim only their congregations follow-- 2 or 3 prophets speak, 2 or 3 speak in tongues with an interpreter, call the elders to anoint the sick with oil, et al. Does it all come down to their faith in their own beliefs and practices? That's how I see it.
