I don't know either; it's odd. It's not as though I actually like him...I think he was a fairly good president, but not such a good man.

Perhaps it's the whole "bad boy" thing.

Or perhaps the reason women are "so eager" to defend him is because the attacks on him are so vicious, personal and unwarranted. Perhaps women respond to perceived injustice.

I don't know if he is, but bosses shouldn't hit on their employees and married men shouldn't hit on anyone (but their wives). That's definitely sleazy.

Yeah, he took advantage of a star-struck girl who was all too willing to be taken advantage of.

 

Right, he preferred to have him smeared in the media. The investigation cost $200,000 for, at most, $20,000 worth of damage which may or may not have been done by his staff (ordinary and minor, the report concluded).

That's what attack dogs are for. Keep your hands clean - let your henchmen do the dirty deeds.

I would expect nothing less of Clinton. He's been immoral not only in business dealings, but in his marriage and in his service to the people of Arkansas when he was governor, and to the American people when he was president. I mean, come on...I know he's from Arkansas, but can he truly be stupid enough to NOT KNOW what the meaning of "is is"? And his description of what "wasn't sex with that woman" was just another lie. It proves that he has no character, lied to the hilt...if he lied about the littlest of things, do you think he'd in any wise be HONEST about the big things? I think not.

Bush, on the other hand, though not an angel, has had far more character than his predecessor, Slick Billary. His wife is just as crooked as he is and has proven it time and time again. Just ask the Jews of NY and many of the women who have grown weary of Hillary's lies. Yet, because so many go by party, they'll follow the party line and vote for the "woman" again.

And before I get lambasted as a Bush supporter, I am not. I don't support many of his policies and positions. I voted for him because I didn't like the Ketchup Queens mouth, and I didn't like his bowing down and kissing her....er....ring! He hasn't got guts enough to tell her to shut up on the campaign trail...he hasn't got guts enough to be president. Sounds rough? Don't like it? Too bad. I vote for men, not party's. Kerry didn't fit into the "man" catagory. His wife did, though.

 

I agree the "war" in Iraq isn't being handled right. There was no war declared. On 9/11 Bush should have asked congress to declare war on not only on Iraq, but Afghansitan and any other nation with ties to the attack on the United States. No Muslim state should have enjoyed peace until Osama had been given up.

It should have been all out war with no holds barred. And after it was over, a good chunk of oil-rich middle-eastern real estate should have become American territory. Muslims can't govern themselves. Their religion is completely unsuited to the stability of a free state or to establish justice and domestic tranquility.

Bush's policies in Iraq will prove a dismal failure.

Yes, Bush's handling of Katrina is dismal as well. With the promise of billions upon billions of dollars, how can anyone see Katrina as anything but a big fat payday for New Orleans? The only thing the Feds should have offered were troops to curb the lawlessness and assist with rescues while New Orleans decided whether they wanted to rebuild or not. In fact, they did offer that but were denied by the Southern Democrat governor.

Bush should have siezed the opportunity to bash the democrats, but he was too civil to do so. If I were the President, my flaying of the democrats would have been so efficient the skin would come off in one piece.

Bush has been dismal in this regard. Really, really dismal.

 

Yes. If a statement contains a few, minor, technically correct details (but wildly exaggerated to seem horrific), and far more out and out falsehoods, then I say while it qualifies as a lie, I could not say it was "all" a lie.

The report said "ordinary and minor" while the Bushies made it seem like vandals totally trashed & pillaged. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if the "w" was missing from some keyboards - technically, that is vandalism; practically, it is ridiculous to make a $200,000 fuss about it. The report said that the damage Bush Sr found coming into office 1989 was comparable and those Reagan staffers were leaving to a fellow Republican!

So, yes - for the most part.

 

That is subtlety, not stupidity, and a wicked sense of humor.
