Funny how something that is "underreported" is being read about on a Baptist forum with about 200 active members.

I'll help. How can something be deemed "underreported" if it's being reported on an obscure Baptist forum?

How many major news papers (NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, ect, and which major TV networks (ABC,CBS,NBC, CNN, ect) have reported this

The underreported video shows a Jackson police officer, identified as Myron Smith by the Jackson Free Press, with his hands around an apparent suspect's throat. The footage was first seen on Friday.

The cop and the apparent suspect seen in the clip are both black.

Certainly needs to be reported, however, this man was roughly handled. Was he hospitalized?

Mr. Floyd died. Perhaps that explains the difference in the coverage.

peace to you

Yeah, well, the media does not care about Chicago murders and Indianapolis murders so how do you explain that? There is a certain party line, a certain narrative, and stories must fit that narrative or else they are buried.

It is a pity that the USA was at the peak of peace and prosperity since the 1950s and yet our journalism was never so silly. Our media shows our interior decline in that some murders are more important than a thousand other ones.

If the officer had been white you would see it everywhere.

Wait, you actually think that because it was posted on this board it is not underreported? You actually believe posting something here changes all of that.

I suppose you can maintain your own definition of that but let me explain something very basic to you as usual.

"Underreported" is a reference to the main stream press. Just because it shows up in obscure places does not change that it is underreported. Not sure why that needs explaining.

"When the video surfaced, it got to Chief James Davis, and he immediately placed (Smith) on administrative leave and turned it over him to Internal Affairs,” Brown said.

Sounds like the system working as it should. And nobody died. Understandable why this is not a major story.
