If one accepts that clouds shrouded the earth before the flood, was the lesser light (the moon) able to illuminate the earth?

Can one imagine the first humans to see starlight and the moon lived after the flood?

Or, is such teaching wrong?

Was the earth only partly cloudy from the days of Adam or canopied by a blanket of clouds?

Speculation is highly acceptable on this thread if you care to engage.

Just so I get a better picture of your thinking, do you support the thinking that a above the troposphere was an extremely large and dense mass of vapor?

That a change to cold in this level would caused the vapor to collect as rain clouds?

The cycle then would occur within the troposphere as it does to this day?

But would not the necessary warmth of both the earth, atmosphere, and the area above the troposphere in order to maintain such an invisible vapor gradually and continually increase until unbearable, as well as provide a greater and greater atmospheric pressure then the current 14.5?

Possibly.

More likely volcanic activity associated with the breakup of the crust provided the nuclei for condensation.

It was more likely in the thermosphere, and atmospheric pressure was probably greater prior to the flood. The increased oxygen/co2 exchange could have contributed to the longer lifespans of the antediluvians.

The revelation of their existence in Genesis 1 occurred after the flood so why would it matter?

A common mistake in reading Genesis (and the NT Gospels for that matter) is presuming they are a flow-of-conscience record rather than a revelation after the fact to a particular people at a particular time in history.
