CNN accused of blackmail

It seems that CNN spent a great deal of time and a great deal of money trying to find out who put the CNN logo in the altered wrestling smackdown video tweeted by the President.

Having found out the person, CNN then contacted him and complained of the joke against them. They told him that if he ever did anything like that again his name would be televised by CNN--presumably so that the Democrat left could retaliate physically against him.

Legal experts are saying that CNN probably has violated state and federal law by threatening an individual.

Here is a link to a news story of what CNN has done:

CNN threatens to reveal Reddit user real identity over Trump wrestling video

I don't know how they thought this would be a good idea, a major cable network threatening to doxx someone.

Let me see if I'm following you.

Trump tweets a doctored video showing him beating up a faux CNN person. The left goes crazy saying Trump is espousing violence against the press. The right fires back, don't be ridiculous, Trump is not fomenting violence against the press.

Now here CNN threatens to publish the name of the person that created the meme. And you're saying that CNN is doing this because they want to have people beat this guy up?

So:
Trump tweets an obviously violent video--he's not espousing violence.
CNN might broadcast the name of a person that created a stupid Twitter meme--they are espousing violence.

Crazy.

Oh no, they didn't do thing wrong. See what you guys don't get is the media can't do things wrong. They have freedom to do whatever they want and say whatever they want in the name of freedom of the press. I can't believe you would even question their integrity or motives. Shame on you guys.

I can see why people don't like the way Trump uses his twitter account, but he IS causing CNN to absolutely lose their minds. He might let up if they did ? There is precedence.....

Trump didn't start the mocking or the poor sportsmanship. But he most definitely is winning. I would be a liar if I said I'm not enjoying it.

The video was a wrestling video--it was not real in case you did not know that professional wrestling is staged.

As for CNN, they might be guilty of extortion, not that anyone cares.

Duh! That's not even being discussed.

My post was showing the hypocrisy of both the left and the right. Left says Trump is promoting violence against the press with that video, right says CNN is promoting violence by potentially releasing the meme creators name.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE BLOODSHED IN THE STREETS?!! OH MY!!

No, that's not what's going on. CNN flipped out over that stupid meme of Trump, dug up the guy's name and made him promise never to do it again, else they'd print the name. CNN was dumb enough to pick a fit with redditt, a bunch of hackers and stalkers, and now they're publishing CNN names. 99% of these people are not good people.

Oh, brother, did you ever see a professional wrestling match? Trump smack that guy down, but no Democrats were hurt in the production of that tv show.
