Bunyon,

The last time I checked groups such as the neo-nazis, black panthers, or other racist group were on college campuses. They are allowed to meet and socialize with each other. They are permitted to rally in free speech areas. They are not allowed to terrorize students, faculty, or otherwise endanger someone's life, etc. I never said they could not meet or have their own organization. I said I have problem with their hate speech. I do not agree with their stance. I would never claim that they could not have their own organization, because if we do away with one group for their beliefs, we can start doing away with all. That is a can of worms I do not want opened.

Since when did I say I support segregation? Please reread my comments, both of them, on black student unions.

We know that Jesus and the Bible teaches forgiveness. Does Allah and the Quran teach forgiveness?

This is exactly what makes government involvement a "benefits for votes" scheme the result of which is to keep people dependent upon the government, as well as advocates and supporters, for solutions to problems they should instead be working to resolve themselves through their own hard work. People need to look beyond "what's in this for me" next week to "where's this going" long term" </font>
That is your opinion and I respect that. All I will say on the matter is that everyone views government and the role of government differently. Since the thread is not about individual political attitudes I will not state mine at this time. Please feel free to pm me.

Yes, they sure do, and those views seem to have changed a lot since the Constitution was written giving rise to more meddling, taxes, redistribution of wealth, control, dependency, transferred responsibility, infringement on basic rights, etc. through mountains of laws and regulations enforced by armies of bureaucrats none of which or whom seem ever seem to solve any of the problems by which they're justified and all of which only lead to more "necessary solutions". All of it centers around "benefits for votes" schemes which far too many citizens and residents eagerly embrace for their own selfish interests not thinking for a moment that each step is one more farther away from liberty and closer to socialism and, ultimately, tyranny.

My contention is that if you support "black" student unions you are supporting segregation in spirit.

"The last time I checked groups such as the neo-nazis, black panthers, or other racist group were on college campuses"-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I mentioned Neonazies in context of student unions. You justified it by saying blacks are a small group on campus and had common intrest. If this justifies black student unions, it justifies Neonazi student union also.

    Bunyon,

What did you think I meant when I said they were on campuses? A group does not have to be called a "union" to be registered on a college campus. Campus Crusade is a registered group on campus, sororities and fraternities are registered, neonazis are registered, the BSU is registered, etc.

In spirit I do not support segregation in any way. You are twisting my posts to fit your agenda and beliefs, not mine. For the THIRD time. When I was at UK there were a few white people who joined the Black student union. No one is prohibited from joining, people do not join because it is not a group that interests them. The same goes for any group.

No I am not. I am telling you what I think of what you said and what I think the implications to your reasoning is. You strong response tells me you don't like me pointing your double standard out. I don't think you can have it both ways even though you think you can. I think the best thing is to have a Plain old student union where all people of all races, can hang out together. Without a preference stated above the door. This is why I say you are preaching a double standard. And you make your double standard clearer with each post.

You obviously misunderstood my post. I said "your agenda and your beliefs" because you feel it is segregation. I do not. I do not have double standard. I will not however keep "beating a dead horse", so to speak. As far as "plain old student union", they have one it is called college in general. Everyone is free to hang out with everyone or no one. If you want to do away with the "black student union", then you must also be willing to give up Campus Crusade, sororities, fraternities, or any other specialized campus group. You cannot do away with one, but leave the others just because they do not have "black" in the name. Especially when EVERYONE, who is interested, is ABLE to join. What is so hard to understand about that?

Well if you are going to preach color blindness and equality, you should not do elitest things like go set up a student uninon suggesting exclusivly for your own race with school funds no less. I think you would be critical of a country club that would tolerate blacks, but made sure to call itself the so and so "white" country club. And I guarantee that if some white students started pickting the admin for a White student union we would not hear the end of the uproar. This is a double standard. What is so hard to understand about that?

"then you must also be willing to give up Campus Crusade, sororities, fraternities, or any other specialized campus group."------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is faulty resoning. This is not segregation by race. All races are welcome in these groups. How does this reasoning apply? It dosen't.

I understand. I don't care if a white person will be tolerated in a black student union. Putting "black" above the door is elitest and suggest that some races are more welcome than others. And it does this using student funds. period. And you know the NAACP would not tolerate any move to use campus funds to build a student union with "white" above the door. I have read what you have written and I understand and I think it is double speak and a double standard. I can't be any clearer than that.

Farrakhan and Jackson are the black leaders and speak for the black community and their speeches represent the black viewpoint. They control the Democrat Party and the black community. Farrakhan uses force and money to control large parts of the black community with the blessings of white Democrat politicians such as Mayor of Indianapolis Bart Peterson, who has given parts of Indianapolis over to the Nation of Islam day and night.

Getting rid of rap music that degrades the rule of law and women and glorifies drug use and gangstas would also be a pleasant start. </font>
Some of the issues raised in the report below need to be addressed if they are to have any credibility.
