    Good Morning Sheila:

Gina--my wife has TMJ--it flares up often! She stays away from hard foods---stuff like carrots are cooked to soften um---she eats steak every so often---but it has to be the expensive stuff--ribeye and stuff that's tender enough to chew!

And your trip to NYC!!! One day I'd like to make it! Been to DC once--the nite before the 9/11 happenings! It was beautiful--more striking at night with the lights shinin' and stuff!

Maybe the problem with your feet is that you may have to stay off of those high heel shoes while you tour NYC next time! Jesse Owens wasn't wearing "pumps" in Berlin!!!

Have a good day, Sister Gina!!

Gina, I feel like it is my faulth that you have an aching feet. I made you walk from Chinatown all the way up to Times Square! Poor thing, and to have a TJM on top of it. I feel I have to make it up to you. You were asking for chocolate or a hug? Sue has given you a hug, and I shall provide the chocolate... ;)

Mmmm... I had coffee this morning and it hit the spot. It feels like fall with the tropical storm bearing down all around us. We have a tornado / flood watch but the rain is just steady and cool.

Gina, I read to use duct tape on plantar's warts and they'll fall off within weeks. You might check it out on the internet. Seems some famous runner has plantar's warts and healed them that way. Hope you're feeling better by now. I have TMJ too.

Sue, thanks for the tea last night! Hubby is away and my boys demand so much attention!

Awww, thank you all! A hug AND chocolate! :-D Yay! Barnabas, I got on the subway, so it's not your fault! AFTER that I walked, well, back to Chinatown, and from there to the thingie overlooking Ellis Island, then back.
I really should be doing dishes right now, but decided to wait a bit. I'm feeling lazy today, but I'll make up for it by bleaching all of the dishes in the place. It's been a while since I've done that and with everyone around this town sneezing and coughing it should be done! I already did the floors, so I'm not feeling TOO very guilty! [IMG]

Gina; You're not feeling well and you already have more work done today than me! [IMG]

Barnabas: Between the hug and the chocolate, I knew we'd make Gina feel better in no time! [IMG]

Diane: You're very welcome for the tea last night. I'm sorry I wasn't here to serve your coffee this morning. But, at least Jim got here early and put the coffee pot on! :D

Jim: I had a separate thread on Canada Day in this forum but it kept getting lost in the shuffle...no hits. So I deleted it and am putting the info here. Let us know if/how you celebrated today!
    ________________________________________________

    Canada Day...

Canadian national holiday, celebrated on July 1st. It marks the anniversary of the unification of Upper and Lower Canada (what are now Ontario and Quebec), New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia as the Dominion of Canada. This union was effected by passage on July 1, 1867, of the British North America Act. Formerly known as Dominion Day, the name was changed to Canada Day in 1982 when the constitution was revised. The day is marked throughout Canada by parades, fireworks, and the display of flags.

God Bless all my Canadian friends!

    Thank you, Sue.

To-day is just like any other holiday. The shops are open and doing a brisk business......well, the Corner Store is (the coffee shop). I am working on drawings and writing letters, so nothing different.

This afternoon at 4 ish, there will be a parade in the village, home-made floats, horses and such. The festivities will move to the ballpark where there will be local entertainment leading to the fireworks display this evening at ten. There will be about 1200 in attendance, which is quite large for a village of 400 (including cats and dogs). A few politicians will make an appearance. This will be repeated in just about every town and village across the country.

I usually go to the village for the parade, but leave off at the ballpark. It is too long for me to be on my feet. So, back to work and type away here on the Board.

    Cheers to all,

    Jim

I love parades Jim! Enjoy it for me too!

I am heading outside to hang laundry on the line and I have a few other outdoor chores to do before it gets hot.

    Be back later........

Well Gina, if a little chocolate made you happy, how about a chocolate cake? [IMG]

I don't know what happened to my cake...

Oooh, sounds wonderful! Except you KNOW what happens every time I get chocolate cake! ;)
I'm feeling somewhat better now, except I've been tied to this chair and am not allowed up until I promise to go get ice cream cones. LOL
I have 8 kids right now.
    1 8yr. old
    2 7yr. olds
    1 6yr. old
    1 4yr. old
    1 3yr. old
    1 2yr. old
    1 7 month old
I couldn't fit them all in the car to go get the ice cream even if I wanted to!
They're all so cute though. Perhaps we'll color ice cream cones and pretend? [IMG]

Exactly right - many time over 30 minutes. I'm not complaining mind you, It is good for me to have to digest God's Word before I "spit" it back out - it is also good for me to have to include a practical application that follows with the text.

And Sue - some of my time away from the board is the washing bridges job - I'll probably never get caught up with Gib again - until I retire from the secular job.

    Evening all!

WOW! I haven't been in here since early this afternoon and I'm not even having withdrawals! [IMG]

I got busy! I put a border up around the ceiling in my bathroom. I had never done that before. It wasn't too bad, it looks really nice.

Hubby is retired Navy and loves Dolphins, so we now have a 'fishy' bathroom. We have a dolphin border, dolphin shower curtain and towels, large dolphin clock and ceramic dolphins here and there. :D

I also had two (2) nine-year-old grandsons here all afternoon and evening! Whew!

Sorry I wasn't here to serve anyone today. I trust ya'll helped yourself and found everything you needed.

I think I need a relaxing bubble bath and a cup of hot chocolate now instead of a DDP!

I will be back later to say good-night...

You have tapes of him? That means he's real! LOL! I've had my doubts...it's rare (but refreshing) to find a Baptist with an individual personality so I didn't believe it.
    Running away now!

Dan: Not the Miami Dolphins! The fishy ones. [IMG] I knew blackbird would be a good preacher. I can tell by the stories he tells. [IMG]

Gina: If any of those rocks bruise you, come in tomorrow, I will fix them with chocolate. ;)

Jim: I hope you enjoyed today. We will have our fireworks Friday night. Of course, the neighborhood kids have been shooting them off for days already!

Blackbird: I am looking forward to the tape even more than I was before! I knew you was a goodin'! [IMG]

Good night all...pleasant dreams. See you in the morning.
