Yes, Sue, the Pizza Buffet is all you can eat and you can order the kind you want to be on the buffet. Also includes a salad bar. They have it every day for lunch and on Tuesday evenings.

That sounds scrumptious. I had never thought about eating salad with pizza until we went to 'Pizza Hut' one night. They go good together!

Oh Betty! I hope so too! My problem is that we haven't had insurance and money has been tight so I waited 9 years between cleanings and x-rays! The tech said my teeth were really clean for someone who had not had their teeth cleaned. She said more like 1-2 years worth. That was the good news.

    Ug.. teeth!

I love salads anytime! And lots of stuff on mine!
Packing is yukky! Wish we could drop by to help you out.

Oh Sheila, you'll have nightmares now!

Back in my young days my brother and I spent a lot of time with my uncle on his farm. He had dentures---he'd brush um on Sunday right before leaving for church----nice and white!!!! But it wouldn't last long---cause right when church was over---he'd run outside and get him a "chew!" Red Man!!!!!!! Gina----its America's "best chew" and its all for you when you "go for" the dentures!!!!!!

Gina: We had a small storm here tonight, but we still have tornado watches out.

Diane: My dad started chewing tobacco in WWI because they weren't allowed to light matches. I grew up with a coffee can full of spit next to the chair in the living room. Blech!

    Sheila: Good night...sweet dreams!

Just came back from the office, hobbling in like some old war horse. The bride called and had a harrowing time getting to LA but was in safe and sound.

"Somebody" gave them tickets for today but forgot the boarding passes. Security takes a dim view of such. Lots of time and energy in long lines at Denver In't. If you have a chance to go to that airport, DON'T. Not kidding.

Finally got a wheelchair (daughter is 7 mo preggers) and went to the HEAD of every queue. So made it okay and called at noon from the Hilton there in Anaheim. Teresa was catching her breath, then heading to see if she was "rescheduled" to speak this afternoon or this evening.

I have wedding counseling in an hour so waiting supper until after that. Refreshing ICED TEA and get my aching leg up in the air.

Not up for debate, but just a question. Is it common for Christians to chew tobacco in the South??

    Cheers,

    Jim

Can't answer that one Jim. I'm not from the South and my dad (who chewed tobacco) was not a Christian.

That is very interesting. I was asking so I could use it in another thread to do with evangelizing heathen Canada...... [IMG]

OK, I surrender!! How in the WORLD does one manage to keep up with this thread?? I am not online during the day, and by the time I get here, there are several pages of posts to look at to catch up!! Whew!

Looks like we have been everywhere from airline flights to tea to sconces to pizza to VBS to dentists and to chewing tobacco!! Lots of ground covered today!

First of all, I am not a morning tea-drinker. It's coffee for me...regular (not decaf), black. I have a coffee maker with a timer so I fix it before I go to bed, set the timer for about 10 minutes before my alarm, have the mug ready, get out of bed and head for the kitchen!!

I love donuts, but don't indulge too often. Sugar-free donuts seems to defeat the purpose!! Not even sure what sconces are! Give me bacon and eggs for breakfast anyday...as long as IHOP fixes it!! I LOVE pizza and salad!

I used to travel a lot in my previous job...but that was before 9-11 and security got so bizarre.

My church's VBS is next week...Kingdom Caper. I will be working in it, but not sure what I'll be doing yet. Will talk to the Children's Minister tomorrow to see what they need!

    No experience with chewing tobacco!

I have tons of experience with dental work...will expound on another post so this one doesn't get too long! I do have some advice for Diane!

Hi CJ: Welcome to the COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE. This is where we come to kick back, relax, and get to know each other. There are no debates here. This is a safe harbor for when the debate forums get too heated.

We come here to fellowship and share the day-to-day things we do.

We stock anything you'd like to eat and drink (non-alcoholic). Everything is FREE (and virtual).

Sometimes the pages fill up fast. Other times, we barely make a page a day. It depends on what is going on with our lives.

Please feel free to stop in whenever you like. We're always glad to accomodate a new customer, and hopefully, a new friend.

Thanks, Sue! I found this through your post to me on the Welcome forum! It does look like a fun place to hang out...and I will really enjoy getting to know everybody!

I do enjoy politics and Baptist/Christian discussions, but you're right...sometimes it's fun to just relax and have some fun!

Would you mind stocking some yogurt? I expecially like Yoplait Custard Style Thick & Creamy, Blueberries & Cream! Also, Yoplait Strawberry Cheesecake and French Vanilla!

    Thanks!
    CJ

Hello everybody! No chewing tobacco for me, thank you! But I will not dispute the salvation of some who chew - its their business, and their health. I know the Lord will chastise them for it... [IMG] And no, Brother Jim, you can't use this material in another thread, where they discuss missionaries being sent to Canada. ;)

Well, I was out earlier at the Port Authority, waiting at the Greyhound bus terminal. Our guest supposed to arrive at 8:00 PM from Toronto. A few minutes earlier I called his cell phone, and he said: "Didn't you get the message that I am coming with a train?" A friend of his supposed to call us.... So, we came home and let him take a taxi when he arrives - for there is no parking anywhere close to Grand Central Terminal.

I think I am going to put my feet up and wait. It is quiet in NYC. The temperature was hovering around 95 [ with the heat index, ouch! ]. But we had fewer cars on the road and that was a plus.

Hope you all have a restful night, and all the blessings and grace for tomorrow! Nite, nite... [IMG]

CJ: I ran out and got you some yogurt. It is like our pies, donuts, cookies etc. Once you bite into it, it takes on your favorite flavor!

Sorry you had such a mix-up tonight, but I'm glad you're sitting at home in your easy chair all relaxed, cool, and out of the traffic. Enjoy your guests!
