    Morning? It's MORNING? ROFL
I can't remember the last time I slept in this late! It was past ten when I woke up. Mandie came out of her room yawning and I hadn't looked at the clock yet so I said "WHAT are you doing up this early! Go back to bed!" I'm usually up well before them and enjoy my tea and newspaper outside and then go back in and they wake up a little after.
I was ALL confused and so were they!
By the way Sue, the Holiday Inn restaurants have this yummy cinnamon french toast that's in a circle kinda like a cinnamon roll except it's more flat like thick bread, served with real maple syrup in it's own individual tiny glass container just for you.
    It's so cute!
Anyway, I hope you all are having a good morning or afternoon or whatever it is by now!

Gina, we have to tell Nick he isn't to wake us before 7 or he'd be shaking the bed and bugging us at 6 a.m. year round! I'd love to sleep late just for the fun of it!

Diane, I had to do that with Mandie, except 6:30 is when I usually get up. I started putting her to bed later. LOL She didn't sleep long at night ever, even as a newborn. It's just "her". Now Nina, that child will sleep up to 12 hours if she's really exhausted!

    I'm baaaaaaaaaaack! :D

I am taking a break, stopped by for a DDP. I'm not sure if I want to tell y'all what a silly thing I did or not. But I will. [IMG]

I went out this morning to cut off some low hanging tree branches. They are usually too high for me to reach, but with the heavy rain last night they were just the right height.

I manned my trusty 'lobber' and reached up on tippy toe to cut the first branch. It came down a lot faster than I thought. So did all the rain that was contained in the branches. DUH! [IMG]

I guess you could say I took my morning shower in the front yard in full view of all the neighbors! I just needed soap and shampoo! I was soaked from head to toe. I was waiting for one of the neighbors to say something so I could say, "I MEANT to DO that". [IMG]

Anyway, I changed clothes and am all dry now. As long as I was wet anyway, I went ahead and cut branches off of the other eight trees. (Actually, it was kind of like being a little kid again and playing in the rain...but don't tell anyone I enjoyed it <gasp>)

Reminds me of a song my dad used to sing when I was young.

"Oh, it ain't gonna rain no more, no more.
It ain't gonna rain no more.
    How in the heck am I gonna wash my neck;
If it ain't gonna rain no more?!?"

The tree lobbin', outdoor shower takin' Granny!

Sue, as long as the mission was accomplished - what's a little water anyway? [IMG]

Moanin', all. Finally up and about and got from my websites to the BB. Hope everyone had a restful night.

It is finally summer in Wyoming. 90 every day. Since we have hot-water heat (radiators) and no duct work, we can't have whole house a/c. But have a large unit for the main floor living area. It's only 10:30 and 75 and climbing.

Fair week and it's always hot. Weather calming down for the rest of you?

Morning Dr. Bob! I trust you slept well after the nice supper the patrons of the Coffee House fixed you last night since your bride is gone. We are going to make sure you keep that leg propped up!

The weather is not easing up here. We had tornado watches, severe thunderstorms and power outages last night and we still have flash flood warnings and more storms on the way today. The temperature has dropped, but the humidity has gone up. :(

You'd better stay inside and keep cool! :D

Just the opposite here, Sue...temperature dropped and so did the humidity. Very pleasant to-day, and sunny; about 75 degrees, I think, by your measure.

Dr, Bob,,maybe you could flush ice-cold water through your radiators...... [IMG]

Did your wife make her speaking engagement? And, do keep that leg up..it is not often we get to tell a Baptist preacher to keep his leg up, eh!

    Cheers,

    Jim

She called yesterday when she made it to Anaheim (about noon PDT) and was going to clean up and head out. No clue what happened since, but assume they worked her into the afternoon or evening.

After the evening session 7-9 pm, they were having a dance. Since I couldn't be there, I told her to dance with our daughter (she's due in October). Think they probably passed on that!

Enjoying "down" time. Just fried up some ham slices in terryaki sauce. Wow! What a good taste.

What would you eat with that?
