Hurry back Barnabas and drive carefully!

Hi Dan and Dr. Bob! [IMG]

(Kelly Todd is Dan Todd's son)

Headlines in our local paper tonight:

    West Nile Found Here

This is the first case we have had in our county. The infected bird was found just inside our city limits.

I am turning in folks. Gotta get ready for the three boys tomorrow.

Pleasant dreams to one and all.

Kelly is a GREAT guy name!
I was involved with two guys named Kelly in high school. Don't know what it was about that town naming their kids Kelly, but there were a zillion guys and girls names that. I also dated a Carmen. My brothers best friend (a guy) was Carrie. One of my female friends was Ken. The guy who owned the house we rented was named Leslie. His son's name was Lauren. :)

Wish I could stay up and chat, but my foot is a real "pain" today, so am taking some meds and gonna try to sleep.

With the wife gone, I am "up and about" more than I should be (HEY, I have to eat). Watching baseball and old movies and reading is b-o-r-i-n-g.

Getting old isn't for sissies.

Sorry to read that you are in pain today. I hope you managed to get some sleep. Isn't it strange, the one opportunity people have to catch up on their reading, when they are temporarily incapcitated and then they find it boring. I can't think of anything else to suggest you do, although having been there myself with the leg in plaster and wheelchair stuff I can appreciate how boring and uncomfortable it can be. :(

Do you not write letters? Could you not catch up with people mid-year instead of waiting til Christmas  Would you like some nice post, maybe we should all send you a postcard from where we are [IMG] That might amuse you for a while. How much longer are you in plaster for

Well, I am off to uni now for a meeting with my supervisor, be back later [IMG]

    Blessings

    Good Morning All!

I have a busy next three days with grandsons, but I will pop in whenever I can. I won't pick them up until after VBS this morning. We will be at church tonight for the VBS 'graduation'.

I am going to catch up with my emails now. The coffee is on and I have laid out the donuts. Help yourself!

    [IMG] [IMG]

Will be back in a while...

Jim, mine did something similar a couple of times recently, it resorted to the American keyboard. Rob sorted it very quickly, unfortunately his is not home right now, will ask him when he returns tho.

    Blessings

Speaking of keyboards.... Did you know there's 400 times the amount of germs on the average keyboard as there is on your toilet seat? LOL!

Many hotel services have been found to remake the beds with the old sheets and covers.

Q: What is the most germ-ridden room in the house?
    A: The kitchen

Skin and fecal germs have been found on bar stools in many cafeterias.

The average person has almost a pound of bacteria on his or her body. There are millions of bacteria on your hands.

YUK! Go Wash Your Hands! LOL

MONK is on tonight and they have emails to remind you. They have Germ info on their page that changes all the time. It's a hoot!

    Good Morning all! [IMG]

Still stormy and rainy out there! UGH! [IMG]

Guess no one wanted to talk to me yesterday. [IMG] So I will quietly walk back-wards out of here, and go back to learning VBS music. Hope you all have a GREAT day! :D

Thanks everyone. Got the keyboard issue resolved,,I installed a different keyboard...

/////// see, I can do this now [IMG]

Diane,,,,It is easy to see why washing one's hands is the single most important act of hygiene.

Sorry, FHG...didn't mean to slight you. I was absorbed with other things and haven't talked much with anyone recently.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

Jim: You can have the rain for awhile! We had seven inches in 24 hours! We are at the flood stage. I hope my keyboard never messes up, I wouldn't know how to fix it either!

Diane: I want the website where they will email me a reminder. I keep forgetting when Monk is on! [IMG]

Speaking of germs...if you ever make a hamburger patty and then look at your hands under a microscope and see it MOVING...you might become a vegetarian!!!

FYG: Sorry I wasn't here when you stopped by yesterday or today. Please don't think anyone is ignoring you. There are a lot of us having VBS this week and I have three grandsons here! I am not on as often when I have them here. I just pop in and out when I get the chance. :D

No problem Jim and Sue! :D :D

I'm sorry! Yes, I know what it is like being busy. I've been working on this music and for some reason this year it is just not clicking like it usually does. That's why I asked the question yesterday about whether or not the kids seem to like it as much as the other ones in the past. It's probably just me and having so many things going on that I can't seem to get into it. If you could say a prayer for me as I learn this, and that I can be used to reach out to these kids and help bring them to the Lord. It would mean so much, thank you!

Hi All! Just stopping by a minute to relax before I leave to run some errands! Sue, you promised this was a place to get away from the intensity of some of topics being discussed on the board...and one of them is getting somewhat intense, IMHO!!

I am generally off of Fridays (yea!!), so I have the opportunity to dive into this place in depth!! May or may not be a good thing!!

Off to WalMart and the Dollar Store!!

    Later...

CJ?! What are you doing here? Let me tell you honey...this site is intense. The All other Discussion forum is where I pretty much stay anymore. The other forums are like walking out into traffic blindfolded. It's dangerous. [IMG] I kid you not. Out of the 5 other Christian sites I post to...this one is the most volitile. There are some really good people here...that's the only reason why I come here. Some really great people.

I have to go shopping, and banking today too. I've already reconciled the 3 bank accounts and paid the bills. I still have to do the invoicing...but I'll wait until later on that. It's been so hot here, and we don't have air conditioning in the car still. It was 110 degrees yesterday. Miserable. Anyway...that's why I'm going to get the shopping done pretty quick. It's only 8:50am here. Another hour and you'll be able to fry an egg on the sidewalk. And as you probably know with really hot climates...it makes people, especially children cranky. Ew boy....and I have 3 to take with me. Fun huh? [IMG]

    Catch you later,
    W.S.

WS - The word "intense" never even crossed my mind on the BB, but it IS a good word for here. Good discussions, debates and here on AOD, some pretty laid-back banter.

Oh, GOOD MORNING ALL. Had a wonderful (drugged) sleep, talked to the bride in LA before retiring, and woke up ready to . . to . . sit around another day!

I will drive to the clinic to do the books/banking, but with the doctor gone to LA there is not the activity level there or need for me. Hate crutches.

Trust everyone else is having a fruitful and productive day. I've been too busy all my life to not be active . . but "they also serve who only sit and wait".

LOL, W.S! I really don't mind intense debate as it helps strengthen and confirm what I believe...and why!

However, it's a little disconcerting to find it in a forum called "Baptist Fellowship"! [IMG]

But I'm still learning my way around here! I'm sure I'll soon figure out where to "fellowship", where to "discuss", and where to "debate"!!!

By the way, I too have been on other Christian sites, and I'm not sure I would consider this the most volatile!! So far, this one seems rather tame, but maybe I haven't found the most heated discussions yet, IMHO!!
