Cass has an optho appointment in just about an hour.

Think I'm going to get my guinea pig cages cleaned out and be ready to go in that length of time? :D

At least part of the house got straightened out this morning!

Hello, Hello, Hello,

The Coffee House is still My Chat Room of Choice! I have clicked on 'last page' fir the Pit Stop a few times and it seems to always get to the cat lovers vs haters thing.
I'd much rather just hear about real life other than cat love/hate stuff!!

I don't post as much as I read. I pop in to check on y'all most every day.

Hey there Gayla!

Whew! I knew there was a reason I was dragging my feet about Cass' eye doc appointment. We were there for 2 1/2 hours! I didn't think we would ever get through. Her eyes are healthy though and that's what matters. The arthritis she has can affect the eyes. He gave her some stern warnings about what to watch out for and not wait if she starts having eye pain or if the light starts hurting her eyes.

Now I gotta go feed the tired worn out crew.......

I am NOT happy!
I am sitting here with my brand new bifocals on. Do you ever get used to this blur between the two lenses?
I'm having to train myself to hold my head differently.

Also, I just got a letter from the AARP inviting me to join!

What does all this mean? LOL

I tried bifocals. It about drove me crazy. My glasses broke and I could not find a frame I like that my lenses would fit. I did eventually find a frame I liked, but had to have new lenses cut. I had them cut without the bifocals.

As far as the AARP letter, I don't know. I think only old people get those.

Karen, try slipping your glasses down a little on your nose to keep the bifocal out of your line of normal vision...........and watch those stairs,,,,you will fall up the stupid things.

Cheers,

Jim

Bifocals! Harrumph! I remember when I first got mine. I felt like a turkey bobbing my head up and down trying to find someplace I could see out of...

AARP sends out invitations at 50 now! That's not old! I'm older than that and I refuse to join the AARP. It's a 'not growing old gracefully' thing...

Well, Shawna finished moving her things in today and there is not ONE ROOM where I can walk straight through!!! Did I say disorganization (is that a word?) makes me dizzy? lol

She is working all day tomorrow, so I guess it will be Saturday before much gets put away and most of it is going to the basement!

We are all too tired to cook so Chinese it is for tonight. I was going to make Shrimp Scampi, but I'm worn out and Shawna's leg is hurting her from all the lifting so she took it off and I don't want her hopping around the kitchen trying to cook on one leg!

The Shrimp Scampi will just have to wait until tomorrow night. I can have it ready when Shawna gets home from work. She works 10 hours tomorrow so she'll be glad to come home, plop down, and eat a homecooked meal.

After supper, it's a shower and bed (with a good book) for me. I ache all over! I must be getting old <ahem> I mean more mature.

Pleasant dreams all!

You're right, Jim. Moving the glasses down makes quite a bit of difference.
And I can tell tripping can be an issue.

I suppose it's not all bad at this stage. Around here, some of the senior citizen discounts in the restaurants are pretty good. I wouldn't mind a different name for them, though.

How about "Life Experience Appreciation Rewards?"
You really can't fully Appreciate Life, and it's Rewards,
until you're Experienced in it. IMHO.

Good morning all,

I think I went to bed too early last night. I woke up at 4:15 and couldn't get back to sleep! I imagine a short nap might be in order for this afternoon...

I think I'll put the coffee on,

Good Morning Everybody,

Wow. We've got two pots of coffee going all ready. Is that a sign of things about to come?

Sue you sound like you're walking, and posting in your sleep. If you'll allow me, I made some breakfast so you can try to take it easy.

I made Blueberry-Sour Cream Pancakes with Orange- Butter Sauce(there are blueberry & maple syrups available too), Sausage and Potato Omelets, and homemade Banana Bread. Tell me what you want Sue, and I'll be happy to bring it to you in the recliner. There is plenty for everybody. Enjoy.

Not much going on around this part of God's creation today. That's something to celebrate in itself, it doesn't happen that often.

Time to get to work. The dishes, cleaning, and laundry won't do themselves.

Good morning, Shane! :wavey:

Rob: Thanks for the breakfast! Actually, I was dreaming that we had a 'troll' in the Welcome Forum.

Everyone is up. Shawna is at work. Brent is doing his schoolwork, and Grandpa is putting a new water pump in Shawna's car.

The 'boys' will be leaving for Chicago sometime today and be back late tomrrow night.

It's time for ME to get going now!

Good Morning Everyone!

I up and already have two things marked off my to do list. I'm off now to get started on the third and hardest. I have to Hammer the dog to vet. That means going and picking up tranqualizers and then waiting for them to work before going back for the actual visit. This will not be a pleasant visit I'm afraid and I doubt very much Hammer will be returning home. :(

I better go get at it....

Cindi,
Unpleasant tasks done quickly-are still unpleasant tasks. I can't stop your pain, and the inevitable crying, but I can cry with you.:tear:
You and your family are in my prayers.
