Hmph, can't lay claim to beauty or brains. The basket idea was not mine. I wish it was but I got it from the parent of one of the kids classmates several years ago and that I believe is how our PTO came up with the idea of a basket auction. We used to just ask for donations from local businesses and aution off whatever it was. Then we got to where we would throw smaller but related items in a basket to save on time. And now we just do themed baskets.
We also had a grill basket (complete with charcoal grill), Fall basket(filled with fall decorative stuff), a golf basket (don't ask what was in that, I only caught the tail end of it) and a bunch of other stuff. If they put it on the school website I'll link to it, but they hadn't put it up last I looked (I will not complain, again, about the school tech folk, no I won't, grrrr!).
I've done what I plan on doing in the house.
The kids can do the rest when they get home as it is their friends that are coming tomorrow. Not much left except a few dishes, the upstairs bathroom and the vacuuming. That won't take long with 3 extra sets of hands. I'm enjoying lunch and then have to head across town with some sewing.
Jim, we "fast" quite often at our house, but my poor pool has been fasting for at least 2 weeks, so I have to tend to it. Plus, Walmart is on my to pick up the kids at school, so I really have no excuse not to stop.
