Gayla, how about a supervisory position, dispatcher, clerical work or telephone answering? Not to mention the post of the CEO....

    Good morning all,

I have an extra grandson (Stephen) here. He spent the night, like he does every birthday, and will be here until after lunch today.

He is crazy about Star Wars. I found him a Star Wars Monopoly game on ebay and bought it for his birthday. Guess what he and Brent played all evening?

I'm fixing pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. I'll make enough to bring in here.

    Got to run.

    Have a good day all!

    Good morning all,
It is 60 here at the moment but will warm up quickly. It is going to be a beautiful day. My other sis and brother in law are coming over to help get some work done on the house and mom is providing supper- steaks, ribs, banana pudding, grilled veggies....
Gayla: My sis knows how you feel-she is having surgery Monday and will be off 6 weeks as well. You are in my prayers.
Sue: Have fun with your grandsons!
Everybody else have a blessed day!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Today is karate testing. Cass isn't testing but the rest of us are. I get to test first as I am a step behind. Yay! This way I get to watch everyone else test. When T and I were the same rank we usually ended up testing at the same time and couldn't watch each other.

Ya'll all have a good Saturday!

    Good evening all,

Good news: The sun porch is finished except for the trim and vinyl on the floor. PTL!!! :godisgood:

Bad news: I am in the beginning stages of a bout with Bronchitis. :tear:

I will have people here all week next week to put up the siding and I need to be well enough to cook three squares a day for umpteen people. Please pray for me. I won't be much good in the hospital.

    Thanks and pleasant dreams! :sleeping_2:

Good afternoon all. It's been almost four months since I've been on the BB from what the screen showed when I signed on. Wow....I can't believe I've been away that long.

I hope all here is going well. I'll be checking in more often, Lord willing. Just wanted to pop in and say "HI" this time.

    God bless y'all.

Well, we finished with the seminar and it was LONG! After the seminar, we had a formal dinner to go to - and then I came home to one of my daughters babysitting at the last minute and she didn't get home until 12:30 - so I'm SHOT! We went to first service this morning because Little League was rescheduled for today at noon and I wouldn't normally do a game on Sunday but this was a make-up because we missed a lot of games due to weather. It was fine.

So the seminar was OK - good for people who have had issues with the "blessing" from their earthly father - but 16 hours was way too much. I'm feeling like a zombie today and I'm off to take a nap in a few minutes - otherwise I'd be asleep tonight at 7 and I don't want that. LOL!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

    Good afternoon all,
I have a very pretty sunburn this morning. It is a beautiful shade of pink! Oh well, life goes on. I am tired from working so hard yesterday. When my sis comes out everything gets gone over with a fine tooth comb! We didn't finish but got close. I still have a veggie garden to plant. I don't know whether it is going to happen before or after my nap! Youngest nephew went to the e.r. last night with a really high fever. He has a throat infection and is starting two kinds of antibiotics. I had better go I need to get lunch fixed.

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Isn't it amazing how the gasoline producers know just when to raise their prices? In a town about 15 miles from us the price of gas is $2.38, and where I live it hit $2.58 today. it's sure going to cut down on travelling this summer. :BangHead:

Good thing the campground we go to is only about 10 miles from our house.

Of course we all know the prices will go down by Memorial Day right?

$2.58 is a great price - and not even close to what we're paying here. Last I saw, gas was $3.28 for regular. Bleck!

Ooooops my bad. I meant to put $3.58/gallon.

    You're right, $2.58 would be a steal.

    Blessed Sunday, Everyone!

Today was children's church day. The good news is that we were up to 23 children. The bad news is that their parents evidently fed them sugar before bringing them to church! ;) Nah, not really, they were pretty good, I won't be accused of child abuse today. :D Poor things, I was really and truely totally unmotivated to work with kids today. Now I'm unmotivated to much of anything else, either.

My weeks have got to slow down, cause I'm tired of being so tired that I can't get done all I want to get done.

Poor Chris is still running fever. They should have given him a shot. I'm not sure he is going to be up to going to school tomorrow and I doubt they'll want him with a fever. He's eating again, so that is good. Sometimes when he gets these things he won't eat well for a week.

    Speaking of school:

only THREE school days left until summer vacation!!!!!!!!!!

Just a small celebration until Thursday. I'll really celebrate then! :)

Rising gas prices give T a good excuse for owning a motorcycle. Is that good or bad?

I have a rising prices story for you: Thursday was Chris' field trip in B'ham about 55 miles from us. I usually fill up on Friday but since gas is cheaper in the town 10 miles east of us I decided I'd fill up on the way back instead of the way over, cause a tank of gas has to last me at least a week or I end up off budget.

So when T heads off to work that day about 7:30, gas in that town was at $2.83. When I head over 2 hours later, gas is $2.85. On my way back, at 1:30, I filled up at $2.89. On T's way back that night about 6, gas was up to $2.95! All in the space of one day.

Well, been here long enough. Gotta go get Chris working on some of his makeup work or he'll be working after school is out and I won't get to celebrate.

Our Pastor once announced that all unattended children would be given all the sugar-filled treats they wanted....and a free puppy too.

After that we didn't have much of a problem with unattended children.

I have a slide made up for church that says "All unattended children become the custodian's slave". LOL! I've seen that comment about the chocolate and puppy. :D

today has been a blah day....i woke up too early, todd talked way too much, i was late to my cousin's baby shower (all 6 kids with me), the smell of the cake made me sick, my mom was...well...my mom...and my dad was a jerk. got to love family.

there was a quote i remember seeing in high school...it was something to the effect of..."God gave us our family, lets thank him we get to pick our friends"-i wish i knew who said that. i would give them a hug. heck...i'm not a huggie kind of person...but with the day i have had i think i would hug just about anyone...just not Gladys

Its been drizzly here today.....oh I wish it would just come down in flooding rain and bust the drought, then we could grizzle about the floodwaters. We like extremes in our weather in Oz, well not really but that is the general way of things..............

Mum is off to Alaska so I shall be taking her to the aerodrome.....because of security and parking rules you just about have to shove the old dear out of a speeding car ....

    Have a good day folks

O my. Hope your darling Mom is on roller skates, and can roll into the sidewalk traffic with all her luggage.

Briony, the other day we have seen the THICK fog engulfing (if I am not mistaken) the city of Sydney. You could see only the top of the tall buildings protruding out of a murky gray stuff. Boy, you have this drought now for a long time! Our prayers are with you and the land. :praying:
