Hey, Bro. Tony, where have you've been? I haven't seen you for quite some time. Hope all is well with you and Viv.

Lady Sue, I am not hungry this morning, but I did manage to gobble down some of your scrambled eggs with sausages, topping it off with some syrup laden pancakes and sausages..... sounds great, huh? Truthfully, they are a no no for me (one is due to its cholesterol content and the other for its sugar). But, you can dream, can't you?

Have a great day all in the Lord! :type:

    Good morning all,
Dad was able to keep his toe- they took out all the infected tissue and bone. So far he hasn't had any pain, but it could be coming. It is 70 here the high is supposed to be around 80 with rain this weekend. I wish I could bottle up the rain and send it where it was needed especially since we are getting some flooding! I had better go I need to grab a bite. Y'all have a blessed day!

Guess I have been negligent in my duty to post here, so a blessed good morning to one and all. I have been rather busy around these parts lately, I hardly get to post anywhere.

My older daughter decided to have a baby, which is due in July, and I got the job of making a cradle. I was tempted to go and buy one, but she specifically asked me to make one, and you know what that means? Daughter asks, daddy do!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Imagine, a grandpa again at my age!!!! [IMG]

    Good Morning Everyone!

Jim, that cradle is absolutely gorgeous!

Cradle story: When I was about 4 I told my parents that I wanted a cradle for my dolls. I told them exactly which cradle I wanted even (a full size baby cradle in maple, no were near as nice as yours btw, but it was what I wanted!). They didn't listen. Instead they bought me a very nice dollsize cradle that came with a little chest of drawers where I could put my doll clothes that they thought would be more suitable for a 4 year old.

I bet you can guess the outcome of that. :D

Thirty years later I had a good friend of mine rebuild my maple cradle that of course I recieved to replace the hated doll cradle and my youngest spent her first days sleeping in it. :) It now resides in the attic since both my girls are to old for baby dolls (but both of them used it for that when they were younger, just like Mama). Hopefully one day when I am about your age I'll have a grandchild that can use it.

Today will be spent cleaning house and packing for our trip. We finally got Cass off for her trip with Nanny and Papa. Yesterday was a riot! I'm hoping she got everything in her suitcases that she needed. I also hope that I can remember everything that needs doing here before our trip. Today may be a riot too!

    Good morning all,
It is so beautiful and sunny here. Dad is doing pretty good. He was getting up and ready for his doctor's appointment that isn't until this afternoon. He wants to take me shopping on my birthday! Who says that daddys' girls ever grow up! Anyway, Jim the cradle looks beautiful. MK: enjoy your trip. My summer trip is in a couple of weeks; I am taking some youth to camp. It will be fun. Well, I had better get a little housecleaning done before I have to leave. Y'all have a blessed day!

Happy birthday, islandgirl! :wavey: Glad to hear your dad is up and at it!

Wow, that cradle is to die for, Jim!

Hope y'all are doing well today. The packing project doesn't sound so fun, MK. ;)
Where is your family vacationing? And where is Cass and the grandparents vacationing?

Congratulations Grandpa Jim! What a wonderful news. I am glad you can do what your daughter was asking you to do. You must be still good with your hands. I'm sure it will be a special blessing to them, and you will be doubly blessed. :)

P.S. Forgive me old friend for reducing your picture, but as you may remember, it can not exceed the size of the BB logo which is at the top of the page.

    Good evening all,

I have been detained from coming in here by my 'real' life. I just realized I hadn't stopped by in a couple of days (unusual for ME).

Between the new kitty, working on the corner, going to the Awards Banquet at school, and trying to get the trim finished on the sun porch so I can start painting the living room next week - I've been rather busy...

We let Brent go to the theater to see Shrek 3 at 5:00 this evening and Dale took me out for a leisurely prime rib dinner! We very seldom get the chance to go anyplace without Brent. It was nice for a change.

Brent received a certificate from his teacher, for a free pizza from Domino's, so he ordered that after the movie and had it delivered. We are now watching a movie Good Boy on the DVD player.

Friday night is always home movie and popcorn night, except during basketball season when he usually has a game every Friday night, in which case we have movie night on Saturday.

Beautiful cradle, Jim! I wish I had your talent!!! I sure could have used it on this trim since the house is crooked!!!

Happy Birthday, islandgirl! Hope it was/is/going to be GREAT!

I must go. Intermission is over. LOL

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Whew! Almost packed.

I was picking up some stuff the dogs had chewed up out in the garage and kept hearing this little noise like baby birds. Looked around and couldn't see anything, kept on picking up. Finally moved around next to the deep freezer and was about to decide that it was the freezer making the noise when I looked up and discovered the nest.

T had a Walmart sack with something in it hanging from a rack. The sack's been there for ages and a silly bird has made her nest in it. It's not a little nest either. Mama bird has filled that sack up with nesting material and little baby bird heads are barely visable over the edge of the bag.

The poor neighbor girl that is watching my critters has a few more to look after.

We are headed up to Washington DC for the week and Cass and T's parent are on a cruise. They left from Baltimore headed up the coast as far as Nova Scotia.

Gotta give up the computer, see ya in a few days!

    Good evening all,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a good day! Dad got his report back from the foot surgeon-there was no infection in the bone of his toe. Isn't God amazing! Tommorrow is busy as nephew has a baseball game and then the yard has to get done. I had better go I need to get some laundry done. Y'all have a good weekend!

    Good morning all,

I brought in some Boiled Omelets, biscuits & jelly, and juice. The coffee is on and the hot tea is steeping.

I must run. Another busy day of hammering finishing nails into trim...

    HAGD all!

A beautiful day in sunny Brisbane despite it is officially winter...... off to Mass early this morning as a Pentecostal mate of mine had invited me to his first day in the church he has seeded (this is all new to me)......there was singing and his sermon was well prepared and theology was not radical....all in all I am glad I went, he was pleased with the roll up.....all for the greater glory of God....

Ahhh - winter!! It's been SO hot here - over 90 some days and all days with high humidity. Seems we hit Memorial Day weekend and God turned on the summer switch!!

Today is church then our children's ministry luncheon. Should be nice. DH will be home for dinner (he was away on the college ministry retreat) and I think we're going to the yacht club for dinner (new month, new minimum). :D

    Good morning all,
It is 72 here with an expected high of 84 here but there is a chance of isolated storms all day. I had a busy day yesterday. I got most of the yard done the other parts still have water standing so those will wait. The baseball game got rained out so some of the shopping that needed done got accomplished before today. I need to get it sorted out what stays here and what goes to my sis's house though. After church we have a birthday party for the youngest nephew and his little sis then church tonight. Thank goodness Chuck E. Cheese gets to clean everything up! Better go.

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 52 degrees and raining here, the forecast is for sun and in the 60s later today.

I know exactly what you're taling about Sue. Life does seem to get in the way of the BB at times.

My daughter and oldest grandson are leaving Friday for two weeks in North Carolina. Her father is having knee surgery and they're going to be there to help him with his recovery.

My son's girl friend's step-father took his own life Saturday. The Memorial Service is next Monday and we're going to support her. She and her step-dad had kind of a love-hate relationship, but it had been mostly patched up lately.

I brought in an early lunch today. Spicy-Sweet Ribs and Beans[in the crockpot], Buffalo Chicken Twice-Baked Potatoes, Banana Pepper Slaw, and Oreo and Fudge Ice Cream Cake. Enjoy.

We watched Sean all day yesterday, and my wife had the nerve to tell me that I spoil him. Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black isn't it?

    Oh well, life goes on...

    Good aftenoon all,
Rob: Lunch sounds good, I just wish you had told me before I put a pizza in the oven.
I am not staying but just a minute. I have to get some laundry done. I am taking a couple of youth from my mom 's church to camp on Monday and we will be gone until Saturday. I am really excited about the opportunity to get to go and can't wait for Monday to get here.
    Y'all have a blessed day.

I'm quick in and quick out, but how is your dad doin' islandgirl?

And how's your wife feeling these days, Rob?

I hope both are on a continued path of wellness.

    HAGD all! :wavey:

PJ: He has his good and bad moments. The surgeon today changed the at home treatment and is continuing his antibiotics. He said that it looked better but at the same time didn't like how it looked. So who knows.... Dad is having some dizzy spells with his blood sugar doing some nutty things. I don't know what is up with that. We are checking his sugar level about six times a day right now.
Anyway, it has been a beautiful day here. It got up to 88 degrees but felt like spring. It was humid like I had figured it would be.
A friend of mine who had one year old twins lost one this week. I am not sure what happened and I am not sure I can even handle going to the service tommorrow. I had better go, y'all have a blessed evening.

    Sayin' "HEY" to the Crew

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
    His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

    Good morning all,

It is a chilly 51º this morning, but the sun is supposed to come out and the temp rise to 80º by this afternoon. I sure hope so because Brent has a birthday/swimming party to attend at 2:00.

We have been very busy doing the trim on the sun porch. We're not finished, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It would be a snap if this house was not so crooked. Studs are not evenly spaced either so we've been having to use Liquid Nails a lot.

Our kitten needed a playmate, so we now have two kittens! 'Miss Kitty' and 'Miss Cally' (a beautiful calico). They were born 4 days apart and they play together all the time. We're having fun watching them.

Rob should be bringing in breakfast as I have to run.

    HAGD!
