    Good morning all,

It sure cooled down last night! It's 53º right now, but will be in the 80's again by this afternoon.

Laura (oldest daughter) will be here from Indiana around 9:00 this morning, so I don't have time to chit chat this morning, but I wanted to stop in to let y'all know I'm still alive and kicking...

    Have a great day!

    Afternoon all,
I am not going to say it's good. I was in too much pain and slept a sum total of 3 and a half hours last night. I have tried to nap on and off today but with neices and nephew running around today that's been almost impossible. It is 81 degrees here and I know that it is really humid because the a/c isn't turned down enough to cut the humidity with a sharp knife. Enough griping, sorry about that... It is a beautiful sunny day.
Dad's foot and leg are getting worse again. We called the hospital but his doc isn't on call this weekend. We are calling first thing Monday morning. I had better go, If you want sandwiches the lunch meat is in the refigerator and there are hoagie buns as well as bread. Help yourself. I personally am having peanut butter.

Mothers day was last month in UK, and my daughter gave me a beautiful scrap book of all her little ones from babies till now (4 children ) it is one of the loveliest gifts I`ve ever had , and such a lot of work went into it as well. I don`t know where she found the time........... it`s a book filled with love.
I learned a new fun hobby Saturday, a customer came into the shop where I work and showed me how to do Tunisian crochet (basic ) it is such a cool craft, I`m now on the lookout for Tunisian crochet hooks in big sizes .......... no wonder the top shelf ornaments at home are overdue their dusting time   ..... ah well!

Palagislandgirl, I'm so sorry to hear of your pain. God bless you and give you the grace to deal with all this.

Folks, I haven't been here in a bit and I won't be on BB much for awhile now. I am back doing some work for some deaf friends, typing down some materials for them into simple, sign-compatible English. Some Bible studies and some of Barry's work. It is time-consuming and brain-busting work as I have to figure a way to sign the meaning to myself for each thought presented and then put down exactly what I signed in English words so they will sign the same things to themselves.

It's challenging, it's fun, and it's taking up most of my computer time.

By the way, though, we have started a new section on our webpage for students, young and old. They can ask Barry questions via email (barry@setterfield.org) and the questions and answers will be put on the page so other students can read them, too. So if any of you have kids or grandkids who have questions about the science they are being taught in school, please feel free to contact us. The page was begun last week and is here:
    http://www.setterfield.org/Kidsandscience.html

Lovely mother's day here. Got together with Gina and the kids and had a roast beef dinner. I made an angel food cake, whipped up cream from our friend's Jersey cow, and sliced strawberries for dessert. It all worked out and I was so pleased! My tummy is so happy....LOL.

God bless you all. I'll try to drop in when I can. Know you are in our prayers.

    Good morning all,

It is 59º right now, heading for a high of 86º with plenty of sunshine.

I have to work on the corner Monday through Wednesday for two more weeks, then as far as I know, I will have that corner permanently next year.

I had a lovely Mother's Day! Both of my sons called me yesterday morning (one from WI and one from AR) to wish me a Happy Mother's Day and I had both of my daughters in church with me (one from IN and one from IL).

We all went to Bonanza Steakhouse for dinner after church. There were 12 of us at the table - 4 generations!!!

Brent gave me a hammer, and a screwdriver, both with flowered handles. I love them! He calls me "Tooltime Gram"...

I also received a wooden wishing well planter for the yard. I've wanted one of those for years. Hopefully, it will get put together today so I can plant some flowers in it this evening.

Since the weather is nice, Brent is riding his bicycle to school. It is about a mile each way, maybe a little longer. He loves it and it saves on gas.

I brought in a mess of biscuits and gravy and some fresh cantaloupe for breakfast. Enjoy.

    Have a good day!

    Good morning all,
    Sue:Biscuits and gravy sounds wonderful!
I spent mother's day with my mom. One of the young ladies in her SS class was saved yesterday. She is a young mom and her husband has been praying for her salvation since they started dating. I am feeling a little better although there is a little bit of pain this morning. I haven't had any pain meds since 2:00 yesterday afternoon. I had better go, I have the usual Monday morning chores and need to keep a check on dad his congestive heart failure has been trying to sneak back up on us. Y'all have a blessed day!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

It is 71 and sunny here, headed for a high of 80.

Sorry I'm late getting here but I'm fighting my allergies today, and they seem to be winning.

I grilled hamburgers on the grill, and brought in banana-pepper slaw, with Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert. Enjoy.

Think I'll go lay down for awhile, to see if my breathing, and coughing improves.

Lady Sue, I need to share this with you, what happened with us Sunday afternoon, on Mother's Day. After church service we hit the road and went out to N/W New Jersey to meet our family. We had our two girls and family with the grandkids. We had a great time. After we came home, we stopped at a gas station to buy gas. The fellow returned a few minutes later and said, "That'll be $30.00 even." I paid the fellow and we left. A little later I observed the gas gage and it was still under a quart filled. Lenke said, "Don't worry, it happened to me before. The needle will go up, you'll see."

Well, we drove about 70 miles, came back to the NY side of the Tappan Zee Bridge and the needle was now below Empty. I pulled in the first gas station to check. Sure enough the tank was empty. The fellow never pumped any gas to my tank. I had to purchase gas again, 37 cents more for a gallon. The moral of the story, never leave your eyes off the pump.

Our son-in-law, who is the Pastor of the Hackettstown Baptist Church went to the gas station yesterday evening and he talked to the owner / manager. He promised to check the gas consumption against the cash balance at the end of the day. They called this morning and they did honor our complaints, our daughter went there this afternoon to pick up the $30.00. The Lord is good. But what a trip we had.

We also have seen about five police cars stopping drivers and giving out tickets. Lenke said, "Why don't these officers visit their Moms and leave the drivers alone today?!" I thought it was hilarious.

    Good morning all,
Wow, I am early! No one is here yet. I am going to leave the lights on and grab a mountian dew for the road. I have some errands to run and will be back later for some breakfast. Y'all have a blessed day.
