I love garage saling also, but right now, we need to donate rather than buy. I'm still trying to get rid of stuff. I WANT MY SPACE!

Sue, I used to love the pool when the kids were using it and taking care of it. It really stays cleaner when people are using it daily. Children have their own pools at their houses now so there's no need to go to Grandma's to swim anymore.

My first husband and daughter both died from disection of the aorta. There is no warning at all. Because of this doctors are watching my son's heart. Actually, it seems that all they can do is observe if there is any change. I have heard of surgery being performed to correct this if found in time.

Dr. Bob. Garage saling, my favorite sport. Sometimes when you see something you really want it's like contact football. [IMG]

    Ok, news for all,,,
Tony is tired of mom's, life stinks worse there then here, they watch his tv and he can't watch anything good, (they actually watch those gay tv shows), so he wants to come back home. And....... last week I took him some mail, and I noticed he had a letter in the preachers handwritting. So I asked him what Bro. K had to say, asked if he was getting on to him about not coming tochurch, and he said yep. I been thinking about going back, I think I need too, I'm not a kid anymore time to quit playing(he'll be 21 next month). So I think he's going to go back to church when he get moved back in next week.
I told him I certainly don't want him here forever, but mom's is not a good place to be. Believe me if you only knew. Plus his car tore up again, so it's back to saving again.
We had a nice long two hour lunch and talked about his life, mom's, and God and church. I've been praying for him to go back to church and straighten up his life. will be nice when he can do it in his own house.
Guess I'm cleaning out the craft room and go back to crafting over her in my cornor of the living room.
What a day. Haven't been home to get a thing done on that dolls set either.

Everyone pray for my son Tony.

    Hello DonnA,

Seems like you had one of those days when you have been busy, but not busy with what you planned to do. Some days are just like that tho. Maybe it was best for you to spend some quality time with your son and have a good chat. I will pray that he goes back to church. Maybe you will be able to spend some time working on your crafts tomorrow [IMG]

It is very quiet in here today. People must be busy, I have to check out my e-mails, will be back in a while,

    Blessings

Got my greens planted today! Kale(my favorite), Mustard, Turnips(Purple Top), and Savoy Cabbage!! I'm gonna smoke a ham in my trusty Cajun Smoker--cut a lot of it up in bite size chunks and put in in the greens when they're cookin'! My way of passin' the winter along outside!

Right now I'm fixin' to go back outside and fix up my electric fence--I've got a pea patch, too and the deer love the stuff! Repeated again for all you animal lovers out there--the electric fence is solar charged--it won't hurt 'cha--but it sure will make you let go of it if you grab it or press up against it--sorta like gettin' shocked by a spark plug wire on a runnin' lawnmower--it'll make you think your arm was being twisted by one of those WWF'er guys!!! But the deer have a secret--they don't touch the wire but jump clean over it!!

See you guys in a little while---

Blackbird, been a hold of several electric fences. Don't take long to decide to let go either. Email some of that ham and greens sounds good. yum! My favorite greens are collard greens, there not a tangy flavored as the other greens.I love peas, cooked with potatoes and cornbread. I have a fondness for green vegetables.

Sue, I bought a couple of little butternut squash at the farmers market, the lady told how she cooks them, juts like yours, only she adds apples to it. Going to give it a try.

    Nite, nite Sheila!
My headache is finally gone. Wow.. what a doozy! The weather has dropped off so nicely but I'm concerned for all our friends right on the coast with this hurricane approaching!

Hubby has to leave early Sunday morning for Baltimore. He gets to visit our grandson for a few days while doing business. LOL. I'll be at AWANA Fall Training from early Saturday til late afternoon.... so don't worry about me!

Again, Jim won't be in til late tonight and Nick will be in bed soon. Jon's out probably at the mall (pay day) and I'll be here alone again, naturally. Somebody sing that song, y'all!

Uh Oh! I stand corrected! Jon (26) went and bought some Vigaro (that greens in 72 hours). He's a perfectionist when it comes to the lawn and it's sort of brown from the last few weeks of heat. So... Mom apologizes! [IMG]

    Hello everyone!

On my plastic bridge job - both of my staff members were reassigned to other jobs - this one is about done.

I went home at noon - took two loads of junk to the dump and continued razing my garage. Roof is completely off - about 25% of the walls are down. Jan helped - she is feeling some better - doctor says she has bronchitis. We are both dragging - as we quit working at 8:00 PM.

    Have a good evening.

    Dan Todd,
    Who's junk was it?? Your's or Jan's??

Because it'll never fail--I pile a bunch of her junk in the truck and haul it off---and later that after noon--"I'm lookin' for such and such! Have you seen it??"

"Ummmmmmm, yeh!! I found a final resting place for it!"

Dan: So sorry to hear that. I can certainly empathize with her. I was diagnosed with Acute Chronic Bronchitis several years ago. Doctor said I would have it forever.

It doesn't bother me too much unless I start having Bronchial Spasms, then I am stuck in the house for about three weeks, VERY miserable.

blackbird: I bet you got more 'junk' to haul off than Miriam does! I got rid of all mine and I am rubbing my hands together in glee in anticipation of tackling hubby's 'junk'. [IMG]

Good night to all the early-to-bedders out there.

Sue - I enjoyed the movie. Amy Grant is lovely and did okay for a B-quality made-for-tv-movie. Plot and development sucked, but that's expected.

Will save the video (along with 2 other lifetime movies) for my daughter who doesn't get cable.

Been out for dinner (Mezcan) and then shopping for paint and supplies. Wife has Sunday/Monday off, so gues I know what we'll be doing for "fun".

Hello and Good Morning everyone [IMG] another bright and sunny day here in the U.K., a precious gift from our Lord [IMG]

The ironing has been ignored in favour of the gardening. I have just potted up 9 rooted fuchsia cuttings :D . I wish you people weren't so far away, my greenhouse is full to overflowing...and I have given loads away  [IMG]

I am going to have a quick look thru the boards and then off outside again. It is far too nice to be indoors today.

    Talk to you all later,

    Blessings

    Good Morning Sheila!

I will be getting my pics back sometime today, so I will be emailing you and hoping Rob can figure out something 'neat' to do!

Well, sad to say, I had a terrible night last night. Bronchitis has set in and I am coughing terribly plus I feel as though I have a concrete block setting on my chest, which makes it very difficult to breathe.

It is supposed to rain here again today, not sure what that will do to the Railspitting Festival, but then, I don't feel up to going anyway. :(

Hopefully, if I am able to go to church tomorrow, we can stop by after and hear the Civil War Band play for awhile.

Off to grab my Advair and Albuterol and a LARGE glass of ice water. [IMG]
