One more tour through the forums and if nothing comes up, I am off for the evening. Must do something productive.

Cheers,

Well I've been busy! Thank you, Dr. Bob! I was able to print out maps and driving directions to all but 3 houses for our visitation this coming Tuesday. The others are in subdivisions so new that they aren't found on any of the maps.

Talked to our AWANA Missionary and am really excited about the training this Saturday. There's a special seminar in the afternoon on 'Teaching Youth and Parent's when Bad things happen to Good People'. Dr. J. Byron Morgan from Marietta is going to be leading that. There's LOTS for me that day! Neat!

Finally sold a few things off Ebay from my old home school things so I ordered the newer things I really need! Praise the Lord!

How's everyone else this pleasant night?
Diane

Got shrimp stir-fry and terryaki noodles ready for the bride when she gets off work. I stopped by the clinic, did some bills, credit cards, and she still had people to talk to at 6 when I left. So 'twill be a late night.

College football on, so I'm set. And taping a great movie on Lifetime (yes, I KNOW that's the women's lib network) that starts at 7 MDT, 9 eastern. Worth a tape from the promo of it. Will see.

And surfing through. Enjoying the nonsense of the swim suit issue (NOT Sports Illustrated, but the thread on the General forum). Some days trying to teach some basic word meaning is a full time job.

Can sympathize with young mothers of toddlers.

Been working on dolls all day long. Finshed one,and have a set I hope to finish and get on ebay tomorrow. Tired too, takes a lot of work and switching from one thing to another to make a doll.
Anyway, I see thinsg have been a little slow today. I watched some of the stuff on Tv today too, in between dolls, no tv in the craft room.
Going to go and straighten up the mess I left in the craft room.
Good evening all. [IMG]

Good Morning to you all [IMG]

A bright sunny autumn morning here in the U.K. Not sure what the temperature is, but it is just perfect for me. [IMG]

We were out to dinner with friends last night, I see it was very quiet in here, what were you all up to?

DonnA, you sound very productive with your dolls. Do you usually make one in a day? I would like to be clever at something like
that :D

I am helping out at Open Door at church today, so I won't be around for a while. I hope you all have a lovely morning. I will look in later,

God Bless

Good morning Sheila and Sue! My, my, you are up early in the morning. Hope you'll have a blessed day, ministering at the "Open Door" session in your church Sheila. And I am sorry about the storms gathering in your neighborhood today Sue. We'll probably get the same thing tomorrow, for we are told that Saturday and Sunday it will rain. Have a nice day all! Good Morning Barnabas! I like your new picture!

I should have known it would rain this week-end. We are having our annual "Abraham Lincoln Railsplitting Festival" tomorrow and Sunday!

Dr. Bob: We are having a 'Civil War Band' performing Sunday afternoon...

Good morning All! I was busy painting a landscape yesterday. My friends were over.

Dr. Bob, I am still shaking my head about the swim suits. I really couldn't think of an appropriate thing to say other than if I wore one of those suits, I would sink like a rock.

I pity any little girl that is made to wear a suit like that.

I think my youngest granddaughter (age 6) collects swimsuits. When we had the house the with pool, I used to keep swimsuits for the children....Monday, we will be swimming pool less...YEAH!. Closing on the House.

If we want to swim, we will go to the OU Pool, Y, or my son's house. No more cleaning and upkeep to a pool. [IMG]

Good morning to all. God bless.

Yes, it is Friday. Does that mean something?

I see the new dapper Barnabas, but did the BaptistBoard have to shut down yesterday to get that photo up? Was that the regular maintenance?

It is always alarming when I hear of people younger than me dying; Johnny Cash at only 71 and John Ritter at 54....How precious life is and how we ought to be aware of the life we are living.

Cheers to everyone,

Jim

Good morning all. Hows the day so far where you are?
Sheila, yes, if I actually work I can start and complete a doll a day. If I want to do a lot of them though I do something like assembly line, for say 5 dolls, do all sewing, then all stuffing, and so on till I finish them, when I do that it will take maybe 3 dasy if I work and not fool around. I hardly do that now though sine I don't have deadlines yo meet. The one I hope to complete today are to be sold as a set so ihave to finsh them together.

A shame about John Ritter, he was still so young, and never knew there was anything wrong with him. You just never know when the last day is.
Wonder if he was a christian?

Good Morning Ed, Betty, Jim, and Donna!

Donna: He didn't know anything was wrong with him either. The cause of death was a dissection of the aorta, the result of an unrecognized flaw in his heart.

Ed: Yup, it's Friday. Which means I get to go to church in 2 more days!

Betty: I don't know about the upkeep (I'm sure it is time-consuming) but I have always wanted a pool. <sigh>

Jim: It bothers me more when someone dies who is MY age!

My bathtub is my only pool and I use the shower.

A swimming pool here, in Canada, is an expensive skating rink.

Cheers,

In the midst of the storms of life.... Tomorrow is our annual AWANA Fall Conference and I know I will be blessed. My heart is heavy today, tho. Never depressed, but saddened or hurt. However, Jesus is my rock and I look to HIM and not at man and rejoice again!

Going to be quite busy today and gone tomorrow, then church on Sunday.

Please visit the prayer board. One of our regulars needs prayer. Also, the hurricane bearing down on the U.S. is aimed right for many of our members. We need to pray for their protection!

God bless,
Diane

Good morning to all! Lovely cool brisk Friday in the Mountain West. Down to 35 overnight but the tomatoes didn't freeze. Up to 75 today. Won't be long until the Aspen begin to turn.

Wife always takes Friday a.m. off from her clinic so she can garage sale. We have ALWAYS been super frugal and God has given some unreal bargains on everything - trips, house, car, clothes - and she learned to LOVE "saling".

Comes home with "lotsa loot" to show me! Today she's been back once (at 10 am) to unload. Found some almost new king-size bed sheets for $2. I went "so?". Then she said new ones cost $40.

Love garage saling!
