    Good Morning Everyone!

Ah Michelle, I hate colds that just hang on and on and on and.... Get some zinc and some vitamin C (if you can take it. I get sicker if I take extra, go figure). A friend of mine uses golden seal and echinacea (sp) when she gets sick. Not recommending it, mind you, just saying that's what they use.

Hey Cuz, where you gotten off to? I got something to show you, but I don't want to post it if'n you're not around. :D

Ann, I'm sorry you didn't your snow, but have hope. T is in Maryland and it is sure to snow on Wednesday night so he'll be delayed coming home on Thursday. Maybe it'll blow east after it's done.

I left fresh cinnamon rolls on the counter. Ya'll enjoy!

I just might try the zinc. I think that I'm starting to finally get better. Though I still feel like I was run over by an articulated bus that was being towed.

    Good Evening Everybody,

I'm here Cuz, just haven't had time to post for awhile.

I've got two Gkids down sick, and Brenda had some bloodwork come back that shows that she is severely deficient in B-12. Her Doctor gave her a double injection the other day but told her that she probably wouldn't feel any difference since it was so low, and she can't have another injection until next month.

Still haven't heard anything else about the financing on the house. Sure was nice of my lender to tell me on Thursday that they disagree with the assessment on the house when we're supposed to close on it the next day. :BangHead:
The only thing in our favor is that nobody else has made an offer on the house, so the sellers bank didn't have a problem postponing the closing date.

Other than that not too much going on around here.

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 18 degrees here and sunny, our high for today is forecasted as 34.

Yesterday not much was going on, today we're going in all different directions. The two sick Gkids have Doctor's appointments, Brenda is having an Echogram on her heart, and Sean has surgery today in Ann Arbor.

Brenda's been having some chest pains and her Doctor thinks it's because her B-12 is dangerously low, but wants to rule out any other cardiac problems. For over two weeks Brenda has had no energy at all and bloodwork was ordered to rule out that her iron was low. The iron level is low but not low enough to require any IV Iron Therapy, but the B-12 level is considered dangerously low. Brenda had a B-12 injection in her Doctor's office and he gave her a double dose of the B-12. Today is the first time she's had enough energy to do anything.

Sean has surgery on his left leg today. When he had his last surgery on his legs his left leg just didn't improve. Hopefully this will be his last surgery on his legs.

Ann: Your son has an allergic sensitivity to Horses? OUCH!! Hopefully his symptoms can be controlled by either oral medication or medication by injection.

Hi Michelle, Good to see you here. Hope you enjoy it here and realize that normal just a setting on your dryer and isn't to be applied to some of the posts here [99.9% of the time mine, that is.]

I brought in Waffles, Eggs, and Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Enjoy.

Time for me to hit the ground running, [walking],[ moving slowly in a forward direction.] Since there is an Amplified Version of the Bible I though it would be okay to have an Amplified Version of a reply to a post.

Friend of God - I'm a firm believer in normal only being a setting on a dryer!!!!

Goodness Rob! Do you ever have a quiet day at your house?? I'll be praying for everyone involved. ((HUGS))

We'll know more about Robby's allergies in 2 weeks when he goes back. I want to find out what kind of medication might help him so that he can go to camp with me in June - because he LOVES to go. It's so beautiful there and it's just so much fun that I'd hate for him to miss it!

Fortunately, it's a quiet day here. The girls are in school, the kids are doing their homeschool work, I have to get a bunch of cleaning done today and then tonight we have church and my FIL is coming to sleep over (he has a meeting about an hour west of here - and he lives an hour and a half east of here so he doesn't like to make that long drive in one night). He'll leave early in the morning.

So - off I go to tackle the dishes mountain in the sink! Wish me luck!

AWWRIGHT Cuz! kinda makes you homesick for Michigan doesn't it?

It'll be okay, just wait for the snow plows to come thru and...uhhhh does Alabama have snow plows?

Sean came thru his surgery just fine. They had to put pins in his ankles. There just wasn't anything there for support. He's spending the night at the hospital with his Mother and will be home tomorrow. He could have come home today but he was vomiting because of the anesthesia.

Yep Gayla, that is snow! It didn't stick here but other places around us got about an inch of accumulation. It's back to rain, but it was pretty while it lasted.

Sorry Cuz, it don't make me homesick for Michigan. This was one of those abnormal above freezing kinds of snow. I was standing barefoot on my front porch in my shirt sleeves when I took that pic. :D It's colder now than it was then and we have rain. Chris and the pups had a blast playing out in it until everything got good and wet. They wanted in then!

These guys stayed huddled in the neighbor's trees while it snowed and are also what I wanted you to see. Can you guess what they are?

Ya'll should know that the other neighbors are nearly as amused about this as I have been.

    Good morning all,

    Welcome, Michelle!

It has been/is a busy week here. The temps have been really cold and it's snowing this morning.

I am subbing on the corner all this week and next. One morning, when I went to work, it was 10º. Always fun to stand out in that kind of weather for 30 minutes...

Between working the corner twice a day, getting Brent back and forth to school, church, choir practice, basketball practice, basketball games, open gym night, soulwinning, delivering the newspaper every day, taking care of two cats, 20 fish, and a turtle, then making sure the laundry is done, meals are cooked, house is 'picked up', and packing items I sold on eBay and getting them posted...I don't have much time to chat! <sigh>.

Time to grab some hot chocolate and start the car so it can warm up before I get into it.

    HAGD!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, don't you go getting sick now. <word of warning for the day :) > Teenagers sure do keep us busy don't they?

Well, I was all set to let everyone sleep in this morning, cause Cass has a migraine and Jenna has a cold and T has been gone for two days and should be here by noon AND it's cold and gloomy here. I got myself up about a 6:45 cause the puppies wanted out and made myself some coffee and generally got set to enjoy the peace and quiet. About 7:15 Jenna gets up wondering why I haven't woke her and don't I know she has a language test this morning and if she doesn't take it today she'll have to take it tomorrow while everyone else is watching the Friday afternoon movie!

So now she's getting herself together and I've gotten dressed and started the car so it could warm up for her. I know it's a good thing that she is responsible enough to want to go school, but I sure was looking forward to not getting out first thing this morning! <pout>

Since I'm up, I've put out some muffins and juice and made sure the coffee is hot. Ya'll have a good day!

Sue, I second what MK said - don't get yourself sick! Make sure you bundle up and bring some hot coffee with you!

Quiet day here yet again. FIL came and stayed last night so the house looks good. LOL! Just have to finish up homeschooling for the week (we don't do school on Friday because I work then - so we do 5 days of school in 4 days), and do some laundry. I'll get dinner ready early so that the kids can just toss it in the oven while I'm down at the barn.

Any of you that have snow, PLEASE send it here? It's January in NY and we have no snow. They're saying some flurries and slushy stuff tonight but that's going to turn into rain overnight. :( I WANT SOME SNOW!!!!

    Sigh

I finally gave in and stayed home today. Am starting to feel much better.

    Good morning all,

We just got back from delivering papers. It is -2º with a wind-chill of -8º. Brrrrrrrrr!

Brent was so bundled up, he could hardly walk. LOL We both took cups of hot cocoa with us in the car.

I haven't been sick for more than one day at a time this winter. That is AMAZING! This is the first year I've had a pneumonia and flu shot too though. I'm thinking, if they work this good, I'll be getting them every year...like the doctor told me to do three years ago.

I am getting some things ready for a family whose house burned down yesterday (clothes, dishes, etc.). A lady in my Freecycle group will be picking them up today and deliver them to the people.

I brought in hot cocoa, apple oatmeal, and toast. It will stick to your ribs... :)

    HAGD!

I went to our area pastor's wives' group this morning and what a blessing it was! The fellowship was sweet and the prayer time was blessed. I then went off to pick up my daughter's pictures from Glamour Shots. I'll post them when I can get them online. She looks SO great! Now it's just a relaxing afternoon and then tonight is movie night. I still have those 3 movies I got last week so we'll watch Evan Almighty finally with the littles (they've already watched it) then I think we'll watch Amazing Grace. :) It's going to get cold tonight so I may even start a fire in the fireplace! LOVE that.
