    Good morning all,

Well, I finally finished painting the living room and have everything back in place.

Brent put up the Christmas tree and decorated it and I did the rest of the house. The painting is done until after the holidays.

It doesn't look like I will get any decorating done outside this year. No lights, no nativity scene, etc. This really makes me sad for that is the best part for me. But, Dale said he waited too long and now it is too cold. :(

Oh well, I guess I'll just drive around and enjoy other people's lights. I love all the colored lights and enjoy them SO much.

Today is laundry day and I need to get to the post office, even though it is only 19º this morning. I ran out of stamps and I still have a lot of Christmas cards to mail. If I have your address, you may expect to receive one of them. :)

My printer was acting up last night when I tried to make some more cards. I was too tired to try and figure out what was wrong. I will do that today and pray that I can fix it. As I make all my cards, the printer is a pretty important part of Christmas!

I brought in some Cream of Wheat, toast and jelly, and apple juice. The coffee is on, the tea is steeping, and the water is in a thermos for hot cocoa.

    HAGD!

Yippee!! Christmas trees. :) We put ours up yesterday. And it started snowing last night--we're supposed to get at least a foot, I think, with it coming down off and on from now until tomorrow or Wednesday. About time if you ask me.

The bad thing is I need to take some DVD's back Movie Gallery. Heh heh.

Well, all of our snow is gone. :( It's now almost 50 degrees but then we should get a little more snow on Wednesday. It's SO not normal for us to have snow before Christmas so this is fun!

Today will be homeschooling, laundry then possibly riding this afternoon. It's supposed to get REALLY windy later so I may not end up riding. We'll see.

    Have a great day all!!

Expecting several inches of snow here tonight. If good fortune appears, it'll melt before turning black and ugly. :BangHead:

I've been too busy to drop in lately, but wanted to say hello while I have a minute. Hope ya'll are experiencing good days and enjoying your family throughout the holidays. :wavey:

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

It is 22 degrees with ocassional snow flurries here. We have approx 1" of snow on the ground.

Today has been a wild day. I had a "very complete" physical exam this morning, the went to the dentist this afternoon. That is definitely more excitement then I need.

Will someone please check on my Cuz? I have this nightmare that she is trapped in the kitchen making holiday goodies, and has forgotten the way back to the Coffeehouse. I left a trail of breadcrumbs, just follow them and you'll be back here in no time.

Margo: Welcome back, long time no see.

I brought in Farmhouse Chicken Dinner, Mashed Red-Skin Potatoes, Gravy, Cheddar Biscuits, and Roasted Vegetables. Dessert is Homemade Apple Pie with your choice of Vanilla Ice Cream or a slice of Sharp Cheddar Cheese on top. Enjoy.

Got to catch up on what I missed today.

Hey! I used to be skinny and cooked just like I do now!

    Good afternoon all,

I am waiting for Brent to get home from school so we can deliver the newspapers. Then I have to make a run by Wally World and pick up some computer paper, card stock, and card envelopes.

I think I have all my Christmas cards made, but I ran out of envelopes.

I sent personalized cards to all of the prisoners who receive The Prodigal Post and I have made all the cards to send to my friends on the BB (at least the ones I have addresses for). Most of them have already been mailed.

I made one batch of Molasses Sugar Cookies this morning while the laundry was washing and drying. I will be making at least two more batches of those, then the regular Sugar Cookies, that I roll out and cut, and I'm not sure what else this year. I always over-do it and I'm trying to reign myself in this year...

    Got to run!

Oh Rob - DH and I each recently had our full physicals - different stuff for each of us but neither one pleasant. Especially since our doctor's nurses are good friends of ours and go to our church! Yikes!! I hope all shows clear for you. My cholesterol was a little high (204) but everything was good. DH is waiting for his test results but his EKG and such were good.

Today was a pretty quiet day. I did some decorating, homeschooling, laundry and such. Yesterday I defrosted my freezer which was MUCH needed - there was food frozen in there from 2004!! NOT good. But now it's clean and just about empty. Now I can start doing some bulk cooking and stock it up. :)

Tonight I took my oldest to Target after getting her new lenses for her glasses and she did her own Christmas shopping. This way she knows that what she bought fits AND I don't have to worry about if she'll like it or not. Now to take the next one. LOL!

    Hi folks,

Nothing much here. The storm that devastated northern Oregon didn't doo much but rain a lot here on Monday -- but it DID rain! LOTS. Nevertheless, no damage.

Barry's in the dining room leading a Bible study while I'm back here trying not to get sick to my stomach. Some bug or another. Y'all wanted to hear that, right?

Other than that, all is well on the western front. At least in southern Oregon!

Just wanted to check in. Can't think of a thing to say. Sue, glad your living room is painted and the tree up. Ann, enjoy the snow. And God bless you all.

    Good morning all,

It is 12º right now and I don't like it! We are expecting 2 inches of snow today and I don't like THAT either! But there is nothing I can do about it. <sigh>

I can't even go out when it's this cold. I took Brent to the Dr. this week and the Dr. listened to my chest. I had a tickle in my throat and my nose was running. He said I was starting into a Bronchitis attack and he wanted to 'ward it off'. He gave me something called XYZAL. I can't pronounce it, but it sure works! I'm still stuck inside per drs orders though (when it's this cold).

I guess I'll make some Christmas cookies...

    HAGD!

Slide over those Christmas cookies, Sue! [IMG]
And good luck with the snow ~ we got our 4 inches yesterday. Blick!
Hope you and Brent feel better soon.

Have a great day and stay warm, folks! :wavey:

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 12 degrees and sunny here, headed for a high of 26 with snow flurries today. We have a winter storm heading this way to replace our dirty snow with nice, clean snow.

Ann: I know what you're talking about. My cholesterol was 202-a little bit high [surprising considering all the "healthy" cooking I do.]

Sue: The medical community has recently reached the conclusion that regular and frequent doses of Christmas cookies are beneficial to the treatment of bronchitis, as well as many other diseases and disorders. The danger of overdose is almost non-existent.
You're still skinny. Your body is just adjusting to all your great cooking thats all.

I brought in Deep Dish Chicken Pot Pie, Cheddar Biscuits, and Triple-Layer Mud Pie for dessert. Enjoy.

My Wife and Daughter are out Christmas shopping. HUMILITY ALERT: I have my Christmas shopping done already.

As a homeowner, I love this time of year. The snow makes everybody's yard look good.

LOL! Looks like I showed up just in time to share the cookies before retreating back to the sewing machine.

Rob, I haven't even made it into the kitchen the last two days! My poor children have been saddled with cooking. The cleaning, welllllll, lets just say it is not an absolute disaster, but it is coming close!

I'm putting on a pot of taco soup for this evening. Ya'll are welcome to partake.

I'm so busy at the moment that I have two sewing machines going. One is embroidering and I'm sewing on the other.

Ya'll pray for Tanya. She is on her way to the doc this morning to find out if she has really been in labor all night like I think she has. She must be. She's been to the doc twice a week for the last 2-3 months and every single time she has taken an overnight bag in case she has to stay. This morning, she is at the docs. The bag is at her house! I told her to call when(when not if!) the doc told her they were going to deliver today and I'd bring it to her.

Okay, done with breakfast and I even left a few cookies. Time to get sewing!

Sue - MY DH Bob is also on Xyzal and it's working great for him too. The allergist spoke to me and said it was a derivative of Zyrtec but without the stuff in it that has the side effects. Hey- if it works, it works. Now he's on Singulair, Advair and the Xyzal - along with a steroid cream for his eczema. So he's a druggie! LOL!

Quiet day here - just needing to do some cleaning. We have our small group Christmas dinner here tomorrow night and my house is a mess AND I work all day on Fridays. So, I'm trying to get things under control. I'm also supposed to ride today but it's COLD! LOL! I'm going to bundle up and go once the girls get home from school.

    Have a great day all!

A kid asked me one time if I was on anything. I paused for a long moment and said "Yeah, Rogaine".

He asked me if it was good stuff. I said "sure is", he then asked me how I used it. I told him "I snort it, and put it in my ears".

BTW Rogaine is a drug used for growing hair.

Me thinks we should all be visiting at Chuck's house today!! It was a mere 7 degrees as I drove into work this morning. The kids had school but were on an hour delay. A mix of ice and snow expected tomorrow morning. Did I say BLICK already!!

Remembering Tanya in my prayers today, MK ...

    LOL, Cuz!

Well, seems there won't be a baby today. Doc said someting to the effect of "What you did yesterday does NOT fit into the definition of the words 'bed rest'. You deserve to feel bad."

Guess we'll wait a little longer.
