Oh Melanie! I'm sorry you're not feeling well! ((HUGS))

Just watching the presidential debate right now. DH is away on the men's retreat from church and I pray that they have a blessed time.

    Back to the debate...

    Good morning all,
Melanie: Hope you are feeling better. I sound nasty but I have horrid allergies!
I am just stopping in for a moment. I brought in some piping hot biscuits and cinnamon rolls along with some fresh fruit. There is orange juice in the fridge. Today is a busier than usual soccer day- In addition to the five games today we also have a field dedication ceremony this morning. It is going to be dedicated in memory of a boy who passed away last summer that was an excellent soccer player. I am hoping that I can make it through this morning without getting too emotional. One of my sisters had oral surgery yesterday (the one that has the kids that are 8, 4, 1) so guess who has them! That's right-auntie and nana! Oh well, I don't get to see them much so it will be fun. I had better go, I need to start getting kids up we have to be there in an hour!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile, but things are finally getting back to an even keel for me.

Not much going on around here. We've had some coolish days and nights lately. Suppose we're just getting a taste of what's to come.

Will try to check in more often.

I'll take a nice cup of hot coffee! It's getting colder here in Ohio, and I'll be honest.............I'm not looking forward to winter.

My hummingbirds are gone now and that is always a good sign to me that summer is now over and fall is here. I miss those little guys when they leave and always look forward to their return come spring!

Me either! All winter long, I remind myself that the reason we live in Ohio is 'cause our families live here. I'm a fair weathered friend, but that's reason enough for me. :)

I'm ready for a cup of hot cocoa. I had to turn the furnace on today to get the chill out of the house!

    I intensely dislike winter!!!!!

I just about wore myself out this afternoon. From noon until 4:00, I had to fold papers, deliver papers, sub as a crossing guard, get my hair cut, go to the post office, go to the dentist, and stop by the States Attorney's office to file a scam being perpetrated on us older youngins'.

I'm gettin tired just writing all of that!

    Good morning all,

I woke up with a stopped up ear. It's really wierd not being able to hear out of one ear, it throws everything off kilter...

I think my Brochitis has gone to my head because my eyes were full of goop yesterday, now this morning my ear.

Oh well, better a head cold, than a chest cold any day!!!

This morning will be taken up by typing up The Prodigal Post, printing them all out, folding them, stuffing envelopes, putting 2 labels and a stamp on each envelope, then sealing them and taking them to the post office. That is a several hour job.

This morning is also bill-paying time, so I will be writing checks and stuffing MORE envelopes. Hopefully, I will get all of this done before the mailman comes so he can pick everything up and I won't have to make a trip uptown to the post office.

    I'd best get busy!

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning Everyone!

You know there is something good to be said for a 16 year old who can drive and is done with fundraising for homecoming. Guess who didn't have to get out this morning and drive Jenna to school? :D

Speaking of mornings: It's downright chilly here today. Woke up to 45 degrees. Summer doesn't usually end here until Thanksgiving!

Cooler temps mean I have to move the dog run so the huskies can get to their shelter. Moving the dog run means I have to move the trampoline. Can't move the trampoline until the grass gets mowed. And I wonder sometimes why I can't seem to get everything done!

Oh well, those chores can wait. Today I need to think about groceries. We are doing another chicken dressing dinner this time to raise funds to get our karate school up to the national tournament, so I have to get that finalized and I still have about a dozen loads of laundry to do. Kids all decided they wanted their quilts and blankets washed.

Tomorrow is actually homecoming. We won't find out who the queen is until after the pep rally at 11 and if Cass doesn't call we won't know until we see her on the float at 1 or 1:30. The game is that evening. Tomorrow will be full!

This weekend will be spent doing more karate stuff. We have a demo somewhere Sat afternoon and practice that morning. Plus I'll have to start cooking for the dinner cause we are doing that on the 9th which will be next Thursday.

Don't worry if'n you don't hear from for a few days. I'll just be running around being busy. I really don't mind that so long as my arthritis stays in check.

    Ya'll have a lovely weekend!

Morning everyone! I got a late start today thanks to a migraine yesterday and taking migraine meds. I hate taking them but, boy, do they get rid of the migraine!

I'm going to be busy today cleaning this house. The house where we were to have our small group tomorrow night is getting a new driveway put in so we can't go there, and I called someone else about having it there but haven't heard back so it looks like it might be here. So I need to get the house in company shape. I'll do that today since I have to work and have homeschool group tomorrow.

I'll catch ya'll maybe tomorrow! I DID leave some croissants out on the counter and some homemade butter in the fridge (homeschool project, don't you know). Enjoy!

    Good morning all,
I am just dropping in for a minute. I need to grab a Mt. Dew and run. We have two soccer games down and three more to go. Although I won't get to go to but one of the remaining ones. The oldest nephew plays on a team that only plays 4v4 so he plays two games a week to everyone else's one! That is fun because it is league wide for his age group so it is mostly the kids that he has grown up playing with. It isn't all that competitive since they all play high school soccer together in the spring. It is more of a practice. I had better go, the oldest neice's game starts soon and we have to drive 45 minutes to get there.

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

It is truly starting to feel like fall around here.

The Step-Father of a dear friend of ours is in the hospital and was placed in Hospice care yesterday.

My MIL has improved to the point that she can get around with her walker and take care of herself. We still take meals down to her and visit her a lot.

If you would please remember Brenda and I in prayer. Our church is in the middle of a church split and it is really nasty, with accusations flying in all directions and gossip spreading like the flu. Both sides in the dispute are accusing each other of some truly horrendous things. It is hard for us to take a position on this because we can see fault on both sides and there is no desire for reconciliation. It's like both sides want to cause as much damage and heartache as they can. We've stopped going to Bible Study because the conflict has even spilled over into it.

We're having Fried Chicken and Dressing for dinner tonight with Apple Pie and Ice Cream for dessert.

    Hello Everyone!

I'm still here just very busy.

I'm walking the newspaper route now (since I lost weight, I need the exercise).

    Still have my eBay store.
Still run the local Freecycle group.
Still subbing as a school crossing guard.
Cooking all heart healthy/diabetic meals from scratch.
Packing heart healthy/diabetic lunches for DH.
Pruning flowers getting the outside ready for winter.
    Still in the prison ministry.
    Volunteering at Good Sam Ministries.
And the usual daily grind of laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc.

I keep trying to get in here more often, but my life keeps getting in the way!

    Keep on keepin' on!

    Morning all,

Rob: you and your wife are in my prayers
Sue: you are making me tired staying so busy
I am at mom and dad's for hopefully the last night for a few days. My van got out of the shop and I didn't want to load everything up and go home last night only to unload in the dark. Why am I up... Oh yeah, the four year old fell out of bed and is now sleeping by me. I had better go try to get some sleep.
    :sleeping_2:
I do have to work later.
    Y'all have a blessed day.
