    Good Morning Everyone.

Real life is still hectic and bothersome. At least I'm getting to read and post a little bit now.

I could use some prayer that some buisness issues would work out well.

Debby, the changes took me by suprise too! I like that I can read the posts better because this format is brighter than the old one.

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Praying for you right now Cuz. :praying:

St. Patrick's Day is past so we should be done with snow for the year. We usually get our last snow around that date, however; I've seen snow as late as the second week in June [didn't last long-but we still had it.]

Not much going on here just the same old, same old.

Thought I'd better check in just so everybody knows I'm still alive.

Today has turned into a "fun" day (NOT)

First I went to the dentist because my back tooth broke about a month ago and it just started hurting. It needs to be pulled.

Then I got to church to do a few more hours of work for our annual dinner/business meeting tomorrow night, and to load in pictures of a missions trip to Cuba - and it's taking me forever.

Next, I get a call from DH. Our 16 year old daughter is away with the youth group and has a 103.5 fever WITH Tylenol. So he's on his way to pick her up - 3.5 hours away.

My 19 year old drove to her college for the first time today. She's not a great driver and she's not great on directions. I expect to get a call "HELP - Where am I?" soon. LOL

So, as I continue to work on the "Year in Review" slideshow, my littles are just playing in the sanctuary and I'm contemplating a new dinner plan since DH will be out.....

    OY!

    I'm finally here!

My goat had twins. Unfortunately, they're both boys. They will be used for meat (but not by me). They're super cute and have brought a lot of happiness to the farm. They bounce around everywhere! They're odd, though---they eat dirt.

Spring is finally here! The daffodils are blooming. I planted 6 red raspberry bushes and 3 seedless green grape vines. I've taken several walks. It's so nice!

Well, I better run. I'm making grilled cheese (goat cheese) sandwiches and salad for lunch.

Have a good Lord's Day, everyone!

I'm up bright and early (for me) today although it's certainly not bright outside. I'm showered and still need to dry my hair and get dressed for church but first I'm having my tea with you guys.

Today will be church (full day since I'm doing both the "Welcome Center" for both services (which means I'm there from 8:30 to 11, go into the second service and as soon as I'm done, I go back and stay at the Welcome center from 12:30 until around 1:15. After that, I'll be racing home, prepping a ton of veggies to roast and one of us will be taking my 16 year old to the walk in clinic since she came home from a retreat last night with a 103.5 fever. Finally, I'll head on up to church with the roasted veggies and a large tray of pulled pork for our annual potluck dinner/business meeting with 650 people. I'm so looking forward to it! :)

So I'll be back on probably either late tonight or else tomorrow morning. Have a blessed day!

I'm SOOO tired this morning. The time change yesteday has really hit me hard.

I'm doing laundry today so I can pack our things tomorrow to go to the country north of us for English campmeeting with all the missionaries in our group (the ones that aren't on medical leave, that is). I'm pretty excited about it. I feel famished for singing and preaching in my own tongue.

Tonight for supper, chicken marinara, spaghetti, and no-knead bread.

YAWN!!! I'm POOPED! It was a great annual dinner, the budget passed despite DH and I apparently missing the vote (we'd have voted "yes" anyway) and all my computer work was great. The food was fantastic and I LOVED how the roasted veggies turned out! I roasted....get ready for this....potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, red peppers, beets, zucchini, eggplant, green beans, mushrooms, asparagus and then added in halved grape tomatoes while it was all hot and covered it with foil. The dish was delish - with only salt, pepper and olive oil put on the veggies before they got roasted. I have a huge tray left so guess what we'll be eating with every meal this week?? LOL

Now we're into next week. I NEED to get some chores done around here and do homeschooling. I've had a pile of laundry that I've been avoiding for about a 1/2 week and it's time to take care of it. I also need to call the oral surgeon because apparently atleast one wisdom tooth needs to come out because 1/2 of it broke off and there's really not enough to save. I'm SO not looking forward to that - I hate tooth issues.

My poor DD is still sick. DH brought her to the clinic yesterday after church and the strep test is negative but he put her on antibiotics anyway and while she feels slightly better (her fever is down), she still has such body aches that she's miserable. She just called into work and I need to call her into school. I hope she gets better fast. OH! But her boyfriend (her first boyfriend) was at the dinner last night and asked me if I could bring something home to her. He came in later with a white box and said "Let her know I hope she feels better." and left. Well, it was a cake with "Feel better" written on it with a chocolate lollipop stuck in the top. MAN, he got some brownie points on that one! He's really good at this boyfriend thing. LOL

So everyone, have a great day. Spinach, it's great to see you back again!

Hi, you haul..............rainy day to-day, but that is good too. Gives me a chance to work indoors, computer and hit the books a bit.

Have an old dog that will be put down soon. His hips are giving out and nwo he is developing nose bleeds. I hate the thought and will hang out as long as I can. I could do 100 human funerals without tears, but not one dog. This is the dog we saved from death just three years ago, a huge Black German Shepherd.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Wow! This place has changed LOADS since I was here last. I can't believe it! How long has it been this way? I have to decide on whether or not I like these changes....It's sort of a shock to the system like it was the last time. :tonofbricks:Maybe I'll survive the crash, though!

Well, I hope that I can remember my password each day I come back. Good to know most of you are all still around. :)

    Peace out!

Thanks, PJ. Having so many animals over the years, one might think I would used to this by now, but not so. I feel for every animal I have had to put down. As long as I can control his problems and keep him from pain, I will keep him going.

It is raining here to-day. Guess that will keep me indoors. Still, it sure beats four feet of snow!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Oh Jim. I'm sorry. Our pets can be so dear to us and so difficult to lose when the time comes.

Today will be a quiet day around here. I don't have anything outside the house until tonight at 6:30 when I need to be at church so we're just doing the homeschooling/house chores thing. I just made an appointment to have my wisdom tooth out (bleck) next Tuesday and I'm not happy about it but it needs to be done. SIGH I HATE anything having to do with teeth.

Oh! Today my oldest daughter drove herself to college. GULP!! She's been taking the train to a local station then a university shuttle bus to the school but we all felt she was ready to start driving and so today was the day. She said she got there fine - took about an hour. So now I'm in the next stage of life - having a REAL driver in the family. LOL

    Good Morning Everybody,

You'd think, living in Michigan, I'd learn not to make statements like the one above. The forecast for this weekend is for snow...Heavy Snow. *Sigh*

Today we have to go into town for grocery shopping, pickup prescriptions, and some general shopping. Time to stock the cupboards before the snow hits.

Been trying some new recipes I found and so far the score is Edible 2 and Inedible 1. I ended up giving the inedible to the dog and she looked at me as if to say...You expect Me to eat this??

Hi TB! The Krispy Kremes are on the counter and the beverages are on the stove [coffee] or in the 'fridge [Soft Drinks and Juices]. Enjoy! I hear that Sister Sue has a direct pipeline for Krispy Kremes!! Yay!

    Donuts.....sigh.....

I did hear that we got a Tim Hortons in the capitol city! I only have to drive 6 hours to get there.

I got home for our trip, unpacked, and started on the mountain of laundry. For supper I made grilled chicken, broccoli, and cream cheese over penne. YUM!

Now I'm trying to catch up on my emails while the kids watch Holiday Inn. They're all ill, so they're snuggled under their blankets----the dog is lying on one of them, snoring.

Ahhhh, it's good to be home!

Hey all! Still here but missing a wisdom tooth. I'm doing great though - NO pain at all! It just feels really weird not having that tooth and I still can't eat anything hard or drink from a straw. Turns out the root went into my sinus, so I need to be careful for a bit. But the big thing is that I have NO pain, which I much prefer. :D

Keeping busy over the next few days getting ready for the weekend at church. I worked today, will work tomorrow night and possibly working on Friday - then definitely Friday night and all day Sunday. We'll have my ILs over for brunch on Sunday, so I need to plan for that since I'll be leaving here with everyone around 8AM and won't be back until around 1:15.

If I don't see you all before then, have a wonderful, blessed Easter!

Ann, I am glad you are missing your painful wisdom tooth but kept your wisdom!

People must be pretty busy for the upcoming Easter holiday. Some people, like Lady Sue, are traveling and being with family. We have our older daughter, Elizabeth, staying with us until Monday. We'll have the family together tomorrow. First we go to Hickory Road Baptist Church (about 18,000 plus members) and listen to our younger daughter's (Catherine) singing, accompanied by the choir. Then we will swing over to Midwood Baptist Church to celebrate Resurrection Day. We will all dine together at Lenke's cuisine. The grandchildren said, "Grandma, your food is the best in the whole wide world!" Needless to say that Lenke loves that praise.

Wishing you all a truly blessed Resurrection Day in the Lord! :flower:

YAWN! Well, I'm off to church again this morning. I was up on Wednesday to do some work for this weekend, I went Thursday night for the rehearsal for Good Friday, of course I was there for Good Friday and this morning I'm taking my daughter up for the choir practice and run-through for tomorrow's service. I also need to finish up the graphics for the special music ("The Power of the Cross"). We don't normally have a choir so these guys don't meet weekly and are just polishing up - they're going from the ground up but it's going to sound wonderful!

After church, I'm going to run to Target because it seems my 6 year old eats socks and my 8 year old just likes to poke holes in them. LOL Then it's time to come home and clean this dump so we can have my ILs for dinner tomorrow. They live an hour and a half away and are coming for our service - and I need to figure out the cooking schedule since I need to be at both services. I think this is where "time bake" on my oven will come in handy. We'll be having ham, corn casserole, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, applesauce, and raisin gravy along with cookies and sorbet for dessert. I wonder who first came up with the idea of having ham on Easter - seems kind of contradictory to me. LOL

    Have a blessed Easter everyone!
