I'm glad I'm not the only one with kids who put holes in their socks. Unfortunately, I can't just run to the store for a pack of Hanes. For Christmas, I always ask Mom to send socks---and LOTS of them!

Orthodox Easter is next week. All stores will be closed and many will roast a lamb or kid.

Yesterday was my salvation b-day. Happy Birthday to me!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

I know what you're talking about with the socks. There just has to be a black hole in our washer that only takes socks.

Our weather has been nice. It's been in the 50's and sunny and next week we're supposed to warm up into the 60's for a few days.

Wow, for two years in a row now I won't have to cook Easter dinner. Our Son and his fiance are having the dinner at their apartment. Sure is easier just making a couple of desserts as opposed to the entire meal. They also surprised us with the news that they have set their wedding date for July 25th this year, which just happens to be Our Wedding Anniversary.

Our church is having a Sunrise service followed by a breakfast then Sunday School and the Worship service at 10:30am. Should be a busy, but joyous day.

I'm a little late getting in here so I brought in Grilled Ham Paninis and Sweet BBQ Chicken Kabobs. Enjoy.

Wishing a Joyous Resurrection Day to all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

    Good Morning Everyone!

I'm getting a five minute break from reality due to T having to go to work early this morning. We've been running around like mad doing school stuff and prom stuff and some terrible business stuff that has been hanging over our heads for a month already. I think we are making progress on that, but I still have more work to do on it.

We spent the Easter weekend fairly quietly. We were in severe need of a break and it felt wonderful. The kids had yesterday and Monday off of school so I got a much needed catch up on stuff I needed to get done around here.

Looks like I won't get back to the BB regular for a few more weeks. Ya'll have fun while I'm gone.

MK - Well be praying for you in your busyness.

Not much going on here. Regular old stuff - housework, homeschooling - all boring. Robby has baseball practice today and then I have to work at 6:30. We'll see if any kids are going with me. :)

    Have a wonderful day all!

    Good afternoon all!!!

My goodness, it's been a long time since I've had the opportunity to stop by and check on things.

I see everyone is playing nicely. Thanks for keeping things going in my absence!

Real life has been hectic, having had a death in the family, and several with illnesses (including me). My sis is in an Alzheimer's unit at a Christian Nursing Home and I don't think I'll have her much longer, so I try to visit as much as possible, even though she doesn't know me.

I will try and pop in more often, but probably won't get back in the 'everyday' routine for a bit.

    Blessings to you all,
    §ue :wavey:

Hey! Who turned on the lights here on Long Island?? It's sunny AND it's getting warm!! Wow - that's pretty neat!!

Today will be spent cleaning, homeschooling and then I'm going riding later. We'll see if the horse is "sound" so I can ride since he was very unsound when I rode on Monday.

Tonight will be just a quiet night of watching TV and stuff. Love nights like that.

Thank you Barnabas and PJ! I miss being here, but am gaining strength everyday. Y'all can't get rid of me around here! LOL

It's time to roll the newspapers and start supper. It's a beautiful day here...the warmest we've had this year. Since it's warmer and the sun is shining, I may go outside just because I can!!!

Barnabas: What are you drinking now so I can be sure and stock enough for you to grab a couple when you stop by. :)

    HAGD everyone!

Oh my.... Do you have Poland Spring Water? Since my doc forbade me to drink any sweet soda (diet or otherwise), I am drinking water.... and beginning to like it! :type:

Barnabas: The fridge is now stocked with Poland Spring Water.

When my doctor diagnosed DH and myself with diabetes, he recommended we drink Coke Zero, it is different that diet pops.

I am up WAY too late again! Methinks it would behoove me to go to bed!

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Good afternoon all!

It is a beautiful spring day. Partly sunny and 67º. Perfect day! I have all my windows open and am sitting here enjoying the gentle breezes blowing in from outside. I had forgotten how wonderful fresh air smells and feels.

    God's blessings are great!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Good to hear from you Sue! Just sit back and soak up the sun and the warm weather. Sometimes that can be the best "medicine" for what ails you, and best of all it's free and you don't have to fill out any forms to receive it.

We too are enjoying the warm sunny weather. We're scheduled for showers tomorrow and Monday but then it's supposed to warm up again.

Brenda's in bed with a migraine so I'm the chief babysitter and cook again.

Not much going on here, been doing yardwork and relaxing for short periods in the warm sun.

I'll try to check back in on Monday.

The weather has been perfect here! The fruit trees and tulips are all blossoming. We had our garden area worked up by horse and plow yesterday, so it's ready for me to build the raised beds. I'm super excited about that!

    I LOVE spring!!!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

I don't want to say this too loud, but I think spring is finally here. The forecast is for it to hit 80 here in the next couple days and then be nice for the weekend. Personally I'll believe it when I see it.

Not much going on in these parts, just the usual daily-weekly chores and activities.

My break is over and I have to go out and finish the yard work. Will check back in when I can.

We're supposed to be in the 80s this weekend and I can't wait to open the house!

Today is the normal chores, homeschooling then I'll be going riding. DH will pick up the kids from the barn for my son to go to baseball.

Tonight the girls are working and DH has to be at church for the Dave Ramsey Town Hall for Hope (he's the tech guy so he needs to be there) but I'm going to stay home. I'll pick up my 16 year old when she gets off of work at 8 then relax and watch TV. Nice vegging night. :)

Great googly moogly! My oldest is complaining that she can't go to bed on time because it's still light at night! LOL! Sunrise this week is around 5:45 am and sunset is around 10pm, but it still is pretty light well after that!

Most everyone is very happy, makes you wanna be a seal and bask in the sunshine on a rock!

Now if they'd just bring in an Applebee's, all would be perfect. Parmesan steak-n-shrimp and Fiesta Lime Chicken!

Well while you all are heading into the bliss of spring, I have to embrace the reality that the warm days are most likely done for a while. Its cold today around 39F which normally would not bother me much having been raised in MI. But this could is different, its a heavy damp cold. And when your house is made out of concrete, tiles and blocks; and you only have too small gas wall heaters for a two story home, it is hard to stay warm.

At least we have great coffee, and mate to drink to help us stay warm. In fact I think I will go make myself some right now so I can start working on my lesson for S.S.

    Dios les bendiga a todos.

Cold and rainy here. This weather just can't seem to make up its mind.

My mini stove (the only stove I have) went on the fritz so we took it in for repair. Now I'm using a.....I don't know the word for it....it's a burner or sorts. It takes WAY too long to heat up, so it takes 2 hours to make noodles. I have to get up early and plug it in so I can have breakfast made on time. Sigh. I can't wait to have my mini stove back!!!
