It is really cold here, down to 2C overnight which is pretty cold here on the coast. Snow falling in the interior and in the South.:type:

It is wet and humid here :(

I am watching the grey sky and wondering if we are going to have a storm.

I have found a new cake recipe I want to try but it is kinda expensive so am not sure whether to give it a go or do it first time for a lunch party we are hoping to have soon ....

We finally warmed up for a couple of days! Hit 87 yesterday and today will get close to that as well. But the rest of the week will be in the 60s so we will enjoy this while we can. :)

We're on the home stretch for homeschooling. I hope to be fully done in the next 2 weeks and then it's time to do some decluttering and cleaning of the house before we get into the swing of summer.

It is hot and humid here and the garden is a bit too much for me to manage at the moment. I have yet to plant out my pumpkin plants but my herb garden is looking great :)

It is cold, dark and raining here, the northland is under water, and the kitty is curled up in front of the fire.

When I go out the tang of woodsmoke is heavy in the air, my feet are cold and I am tired of winter.......

We have October in July. It is 72 degrees and will go down to 54 tonight. We turned off the air conditioner yesterday morning and it looks like we can leave it off until Friday.

We've had rain, rain and more rain this summer. The fronts roll through with great regularity every third day or so. The grass is healthy, the crops out in the country are lush, and God has truly blessed us this summer.

I have a new toy, an iPad but I can't start a new thread so I have put this here. The world has sighed a collective sigh of relief as that most major nation ie New Zealand voted for a new government yesterday. It passed without incident, no one died, no babies were kissed, and no one except perhaps Mr Kim DotCom was seriously inconvenienced.

Have a lovely day![emoji255][emoji250]

I am getting to grips with a tablet.
We have hot and humid weather here so I am thankful for ceiling fans. Autumn and Spring are my favourite seasons of the year .

Not as miserably cold here at present but lots of snow not far from me. My town is at the river mouth out to the Bight of Taranaki....

WELCOME ONE AND ALL

379678410_77ea1a923a_m.jpg

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Coke Zero, Pepsi, Sprite, milk, milkshakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

We certainly need a revival in here. I haven't been able to log in for ages but also my mother has been really ill and we do what we can to visit being 2 hours drive away and dh isn't in the best of health either.

Spring is coming and maybe people will get a bit more chatty. I have at last got seedlings coming through in the propagator but the garden is getting rather too much for me to manage on my own.

I do hope we get more visitors in here. It used to be such a lively place :)

Been ages since I have posted here in what can only be called a derelict thread. Nothing much to report, the hung government has re elected and is now well and truely hanged, if that is possible. Britain enjoys lively politics. America is doing what it seems best at.....shooting each other....

This was before my time here.
But I love the creativity and the dialogues that happen in the coffee shop.
Let me know if there is anything I could do.

I can create a new sub forum just for the coffee shop and move these old threads there.
Thoughts/Ideas?
