    We have some friends who each year send us hand - painted or hand-crafted cards and they are a joy to receive. Will you be posting a picture of the finished card for us to see, I do hope so.

    Got my bathroom done, and four floors mopped so far. Was gonna do my office, but may not get to that today. I bought a new pole lamp and have to put that together...

    The first one scanned in crooked making the buildings to slant, but the original, they were straight, but you can get an idea of the picture.

    HI All, in from the dentist. Nick had one decent sized cavity in another baby tooth so went ahead and had it filled and capped while we were there. It took exactly an hour each way but the actual dentist visit didn't take long at all. They have a big room filled with PlayStation 2's for the kids so Nick didn't want to leave. Like he doesn't have one going already... LOL

    Overcast but pleasant here and the bug bites are all down. Still red but no more swelling!

    Off to check the rest of the board and then some more household chores to do.

    Those paintings are wonderful!! I have always waned to be able to paint...some of us just don'tave that particular talent...you obviously do!! [​IMG]

    I think I mentioned this before, but can't remember where. I tried painting. The best I could do was my painting labelled The Nude. It hangs in my study. I love to show people The Nude. It is a bare canvas nicely framed with just the words at the bottom, The Nude.

    It was quite the conversation piece at one church, until someone described it. I wonder what it would bring at Sothby's?

    Thank you all for your kind words about my paintings. Donna, the one with the cross is an Oklahoma sky after a storm.


    I don't have any special talent just a desire to to paint.

    Painting is a developed skill, just like playing the piano, but I think Jim's "The Nude" would win the prize [​IMG]

    We would have fun if we could get together to paint. [​IMG]

    I have my sketch of the Advent Wreath ready to put on the canvas. If it looks anything at all like an advent wreath, I will share it with you.

    I really like to work with purple and pink. I will have shades of purple and pink in the background with some blues.

    Hello all,

    We have had a busy two day with Abigail and Daniel.

    Got the results of my latest blood test in the mail today. Cholesterol all in normal ranges - but primary care doctor not happy with bad cholesterol number (103) - he likes his diabetic patients to have the bad number below 100.

    Lost 25 pounds so far - down to 275. A1C - three month sugar number is down from 6.6 to 6.1 in four months. They like it to be below 7.0 for diabetics - so 6.1 is excellent.

    Have not heard from Jan's bone scan yet - takes about a week for her doctor to get the results.

    Dan - not as sweet as he used to be "Bratz"

    I have lost 16 so far, seems like that 20 is hard to hit!
