three month sugar number is down from 6.6 to 6.1 in four months. They like it to be below 7.0 for diabetics - so 6.1 is excellent.
    ===============================================

Dan, I am a little confused here. You are using the same measurement we use in Canada. I thought Americans all measured in 100's for blood sugar.

I never worry when mine is 6.1, but is more frequently around 4.0. That's why I must be careful when physical activity is involved..it can drop below 3 and fainting territory very quickly. When I had the wrong insulin dosage because of wrong readings, it shot up to 28 and that is why I had the problems.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Betty, I must have overlooked your link in haste earlier but the paintings are beautiful!

Click HERE to view Betty's paintings!

I am honestly shocked! If you had not told me, I would have thought they were done by a professional artist! I can't decide which I like best!

Dan and Sue, That is great. It is so difficult to lose weight.

Thank you, Diane. I really enjoy painting.

Betty--I enjoyed your paintings! I'm looking for a painting to hang in my office---there's one they sell at LifeWay --- of Jesus walking the Emmaus Road with those two disciples---I'm saving up for it now!!

Hard to decide which one of yours is the best---they all are---excellent talent!

Neat pictures--good talent!! Keep painting! Don't stop painting!

We just got back home from watching a rare Thursday High School football game---Wesson High School---Kristi(who stops in the shop time to time)--her son plays---#35 on Defensive End---he made at least half dozen(sounds bigger than sayin' six)solo tackles---he's good!!! Our Youth minister captured a play he was in on---on his disk camera--maybe Kristi will post it for us!! Good clear shot of him coming in to make a tackle!! Wesson won---44 to 37!! A high scoreing game!

    Hello everyone.
Yes, those are very good paintings. I thank God for your talent. That first one at the websight I wouldn't mind printing on card stock and use them for Christmas cards. Thankful: are they copywrited? Any more paintings available?
    Good night all.

    Good Morning all!

Jim, you are REALLY up early this morning! Did you not sleep well? Thanks for putting the coffee on!

I wonder why Dr.B. (the whiner) didn't make it in last night.

I see our other nightowl Watchman made it. Hi Watchman! [IMG]

I wonder what the time difference is between here and Hawaii...

Good morning, Sue...No, this is about the same time every morning. I don't always come in here first off. The only reason why I wouldn't sleep at night would be because I slept all day.

I think there is 7 hours difference for Hawaii....wwe are 7 hours ahead of them...so, you heard it here first, except in the UK, which is 5 hours ahead of us. Their clocks usually change a week before us though.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Thank you Jim!

I have never been able to keep the different times zones straight!

I have always been an early riser. I usually get between 6-7 hours sleep each night.

Cubs are playing the 3rd game in the Divisional Championship tonight!

I still get mixed up with Alaska. Some parts of Alaska are five hours behind whilst others are four hours. It gets a little more complicated going the other way, like to Australia, which is about 15 hours advanced.

    Cheers,

    Jim

33 years is a long time to share together. I have shared 27 years of marriage with my husband although we have known each other for 31 years this year. It seems I have known no other like him and no doubt never will. I cannot picture myself without him. Maybe I should tell him that more. Made me think.

    Good Morning Joy!

Yes, we need to tell our hubbys' how much we love them and appreciate all they do for us. I think it is even more important in the older marriages.

Well, a nice day today, although they say it will rain later. I am off out soon, fancy going to the gym today, having a relaxing time in the jacuzzi and steam room, maybe a swim and just chill out. Work is pressured. Nice to have some time to myself for a change. I am beginning to get to know myself!!!

I have never done that, but it sounds wonderful. We all need to take time for ourselves.

I am off 'to the corner'. I will be back a little later.

    Good Morning All,

Watchman, I sent you a PM.

I'm already behind on my schedule of plans for the day. I have decided not to follow a schedule, I get too frustrated. I am going to declare Sunday as the only day that I follow a schedule, maybe [IMG]

Just popping in, have another busy day. As I was cleaning the grout yesterday, some of it fell out, so today is 'regrouting' day!

I also have some flower seeds to sow and some phone calls to make that I have been putting off.

I will be back later when I take a break for a DDP!

yes, having a break here as well, but no one is around. Back to the woodpile and stack wood in shed. We cut it, tug it, split it, tow it and stack it in shed. We do all this to pull it, tow it, stack it indoors to burn it. What a routine so we can get a heap of ashes. Anyone interested in buying some ashes?

    Cheers,

    Jim
