We got a LOT of outside work done. But do you EVER get it all done???

Today, I will be regrouting some bathroom tile and cleaning the grout on the rest. A task I have been putting off for quite some time!

It was hard working outside yesterday with the "attack of the ladybugs"! There are millions of them and they just won't leave you alone! They even made the front page of our local paper yesterday!

    Sue,

We never manage to get all the outside work done before the wet weather sets in. No matter how well organised we think we are. LOL.

Grouting, now that sounds really boring. Will you be listening to some praise music to while away the time?

Should be getting back to the books, talk later,

    have fun,

    Blessings

Grouting, to me, is very tedious. Yes, I will be listening to my Christian CD's. The faster the song, the faster I work. [IMG]

Stop in again when you take a break from your books. Don't want you getting eye strain!

I give you permission to take a break every hour! [IMG]

I am a School Crossing Guard now (renovating takes a lot of money)! So, I am gone for about an hour each morning and each afternoon.

I don't leave until 7:45 CDT so I should still be here for your first break. :D

I have been to 'the corner' and back and I need to regrout the bathroom tile. I will check in a little later.

Good morning to all. I am a little late getting here this morning. Just doing things outdoors again, so a pop on here and there is the order of the day.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Sue, I remember one year we had ladybugs, they were everywhere. My ceilings were covered with them. We couldn't figure out how so many of them were getting inside. We vaccumed them off the ceilings and emptied them outside.
I didn't sleep well. I didn't fall asleep till after 3 and was awake at 5, sometime in ther went back to sleep, didn't get up till 9.

Donna, it is all ready and waiting for you. Enjoy. You don't even have to worry about the washing up.

    Good Morning All. [IMG]

It is raining here in Oklahoma. We didn't get the yard mowed before it started raining.

I'm going to design our Christmas Card today. I am thinking about a table with the Advent wreath and candles on it. I am not good at perspective so I may have to ask Jim for help.

Several years ago, my son took a picture of one of my paintings and made Christmas cards. Now everyone expects one. I think I have only missed one year in the last 8 or so. I was too busy planning my wedding that year, so we send a wedding picture to the ones on our list after the wedding.

I may stop by later. Maybe about lunch time. Be prepared for whining if I can't make it look the way it is in my mind. It seems that ideas sometimes just drop out of my elbow before they get to my hands.
    :(

The advent wreath commonly placed on the dinner table to celebrate the days leading up to advent. It is usually four or five candles.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Morning Jim, Betty, and Donna:

Jim: You WERE running late this morning. It's a good thing Sheila was here to put the coffee on. :D

Betty: I love designing my own Christmas cards and printing them out. I have not bought a greeting card of ANY kind since I got my computer. I always personalize each one with their names.

Donna: I'm sorry you didn't sleep well, but then I didn't think you would. Any news from the hospital this morning?

Oh, Jim, that's perfect. I think I will have so much fun painting this. I have it sketched. I need to decide on colors for the background.

What do you think about printing the words on the candle holders? You know hope, peace, joy, love, and Christ?

Do you think I need any decorations on the wreath, bows, etc? Or just plain greenry?

You could also print the words on the candles lengthwise. Red candles with greenery and small red bows would look nice.

Sue, update in the prayer forum.

Plenty I need to do today, but I just can't think and concentrate. If anyone sees any of my posts and they seem unusal, I'm sorry.

Can you say "juxtaposition"? (Or does that belong on the long word thread?)

Something is out of whack here. Just doesn't compute. Cubs win and an Advent wreath?

This is October, right? Neither one should be in our minds or language.

BTW, as everyone is reporting in as to what is happening, it is 10:30 am, 62F, bright sunshine as per usual (it is sunny at least part of the day 340 days a year).

I've been busy this am already, got a hair cut from the bride and in turn cut my wife's hair. Then heading out to a Kitchen Center to see designs for new cupboards, et al, for an hour.

And lunch, then she will have to go to the clinic. She takes Thursday a.m. off and we always try to do something together. Amazing how in years and years of marriage we develop routines and "comfort zones" and work schedules to spend special time together.

So, enough chit-chat with YOU. I'm outta here!

    Oh, Dr. Bob [IMG]

I have to get my Christmas painting completed early so my son can take a picture of it and have the cards printed before he gets busy for the Christmas Season. I was so late last year the painting was still wet and you know the as a painting dries it changes.

I'm not going to forget Halloween, Thanksgiving, and enjoy the changing of the seasons.

After all this is the big weekend when the Sooners play Texas. [IMG]
