Mark! Thanks for the vanilla cream!

Diane: That is really good news about the jobs!

Jim: I find that talking to myself is the only way to get the answer I want... :D

Well, I have been bagging leaves with the leaf blower and my arm feels like it is going to fall off. I would rather burn them or blow them all into the street and let God take care of them, but can't do that either in this city...gotta bag 'em and haul 'em away!

I need to fix supper now so I can have the dishes done in time to sit, relax, and watch the Cubbies.

After the snafu last night, this will probably be the most watched baseball game ever!

I will pop in later. TTFN! [IMG]

Good ALC series. Just got home for the last coupla innings and enjoyed the come-from-behind win and kicking it to a game seven.

NLCS game seven? GO FISH. :D [IMG] :D

MARLINS 3, Cubs 0 in the first inning. Sounds like another good beating coming up.

Had 17 WILD 3 and 4 year olds in Cubbies tonight. Actually, it's 3 who are age 4 and the rest are the little guys. They did quite well with the story but you could sure tell it was a full moon. My BEST kids, usually, were very tearful tonight. Go Figure!

Oh come on CUBS! It's about time! Hush! Dr. Bob!

I didn't know cubs could be that young. That is more like babysitting..I always thought cubs were 7 and 8 at least.

    Cheers,

AWANA Club starts with 3 year olds! The 'lessons' are pretty simplistic and the verses are 'very abreviated' but we are able to teach them so much. We've had four or five lessons in a row on creation. Last week was 'The Bible'. Tonight was other lessons in our Bible. I ask the kids what they remember and one little boy could have taught the class. He remembered all about creation some stories I've told them are in the Bible. His favorite is 'the chop, chop, chopping off of that big man's head!!'

Would you believe that tonight I gave them a simple plan of salvation? I had them make little bracelets and we talked about black for dirty and sin... red for Jesus' blood... white for clean as newly fallen snow... blue for baptism... green for reading our Bibles, praying and growing up big and strong in Jesus.

Sparks is ages 5 and up. 3rd Grade is Truth and Training and is pretty deep! The longer I work with AWANA, the more I love it.

So I finish dinner and turn the telly back on and it's 5-3 cubs.

Seriously LOVE these close, well-fought games. Think this year's post season in MLB is top drawer.

And really don't care a hoot over who wins, since my beloved Twinkies were ousted by the evil Yankees. Just love to push "hot buttons".

    Good evening all,

I was happy to find out that the Yankees lost today - poor Barnabas - being in Europe and all - and his beloved Yankees taking it on the "chin."

It would be a hoot if the Sox played the Cubs - then we'd see which team is jinxed the most!! [IMG]

Well, certainly not much happening around the Coffee House this evening.

Appreciate the good message in the Chapel and I've posted throughout the late evening hours on a lot of threads, but time to read (it's only 12:15 am in the Mountain West) and then to bed.

Will be challenged by the Dead Sea Scroll texts for the next hour . . then in the morning WISH I was dead as I have to go to the Dentist and get a crown.

But since lunch will be out of the question, will enjoy a big sausage (no fat turkey suff - yuk) and egg breakfast!

So I'll let the tea water simmer, put the coffee on auto perk so it will come on for you early birds . . but will have to let someone else make the cinnamon sticky buns!

Thanks for putting the coffee on Dr.B.! I was too tired this morning to find the coffee filters.

I had a rough night trying to sleep so I got up at 3:00 instead of 4:00 (was tired of tossing and turning).

Well, my beloved Cubs lost. [IMG] But just wait til next year! [IMG] [IMG]

I will still stick with my National League though so I will have to root for the [IMG]

I hope the [IMG] lose to the [IMG]

Be glad when baseball is finally over...wait,,then stupid football comes in....ah, but college basketball...there could be a use for cable telly or whatever it is called afterall.

    Cheers,

    Good Morning Jim!

Football has already started here!

It will be good to see Barnabas' smiling face in the Coffee House again! I wonder how long it will take him to rest up from his vacation? [IMG]

    Hi Sue.

Have to go and mind my dog. Single neighbour works away from home all week, so visit with dog about 5 times each day. Gives the dog some company, feed, water and a relief in the garden.

    Cheers,

    Jim

My condolences to you Cubs fans - I was really looking forward to a Cubs-Sox series!!

How long do you suppose it will take for Barnabas to read all he has missed this past week?

Jim - It's good to see that you get your exercise in - I should be doing the same thing!

Sue - take a nap - I do your share of double posting while you snooze!!
