Exercise? She does all the running,,, [IMG] I get worn out just watching her run. She is a lovely dog.

Brother Barnabas will be quite busy,,perhaps he will skip read; skip whilst he reads.

It is windy to-day and coolish, but tonight we start the deep freeze when it drops below freezing overnight.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Good Morning, Its 9:30am, I am as happy as a can be . My boss is out of town for two whole weeks. He has put me in charge of the office here in sunny FL. Instead of 5 hr work days, I am on call 13 hr a day for the next 2 weeks. I guess this defines the word salary. I am so excited. I hope you all have a great day. God Bless [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Praying for Barnabas' safe return. Wish I could have gone along (I was going to) but my body just wasn't healed enough. Grrr.

And pray for anyone getting a flu shot. Ugly thing. There are about 20 major flu viruses yearly (they mutate so are different every winter) and nobody knows which will ultimately be most prevalent here in the USofA. So they make an educated guess and that is the vaccine you get.

Better odds at the crap table. But hey, I'm agin all vacinnations.

Some day, 5000 years from now, people will look at this era of "cut/burn/poison medicine" and call this the "dark ages". Think I'll stick with the Chinese medicine that already HAS a 5000 year track record . . .

    And I LOVE my doctor!

I was aware of the educated guess on the flu shot, but I get mine every year anyway. It helps keep my doctor in vacations then I don't have to go to him as often. He is off to Scotland to-day...I think the female doctor is giving flu shots.....oh boy...I do like her. (actually the shot is free for the old boy's club...hang! I know it is free for everyone in Ontario)

I think I need a new keyboard. This one is making too many mistakes.

Oh Sue, our football is almost over for the season. We don't hang in there like the yank teams.

    Cheers,

    Jim

We get the flu shots to help protect my Jim. With his COPD and severe asthma, we sure don't need him getting the flu. I work with so many children too, that I'm sure I am exposed. I haven't told Nick yet, but I'm probably going to get the shot for him too.

I go early so I can get mine with a tiny needle instead of the 'gun'. I hate those guns! I'm pretty small and I don't think those 'guns' were meant for everyone!

Hi all! Just popping in to see what everyone is up to...

I've been outside at the leaves again in between crocheting and TRYING to take a nap, didn't get the job done! (the nap I mean)

I am going to grab a bite of lunch, go back to the corner, then come home and start on supper! What a day!

Hopefully, I will have some time this evening to post. Anyone heard from Barnabas yet?

    Hello Jim,

The children and grandchildren wanted to see Rob for his birthday.

It is good to be back home tho. Hope you are ok. Got those specs of yours fixed yet?

I don't rake leaves. By the time I got leaves raked, God would send a white blanket to cover them. One of the benefits of living in the country, I suppose.

    Cheers,

    Jim

We have 2 leaf blowers and have an area outside our fencing where we dump the leaves and let them decompose. Most neighbors will burn their leaves. I'm not into polluting the air since my Jim already has so many lung problems!

Hello Sheila! I also thought you were just busy with school and didn't realize you'd gotten to go visit the family! Neat!

So, Rob robbed the cradle did he? People tend to think my husband and I are quite different in age and with our little Nick, they many times assume 'second marriage'. We're quick to correct them! Jim is only 3.5 years older than me.

Ah.. Sue... I'm surprised Dr. Bob hasn't offered us crow to eat for supper after the Cubs loss last night. I never would have believed they'd lose the last 3!

Just returned from the dentist. He still says i have good teeth, but the hygienist said that I was brushing my teeth incorrectly. Forty years ago, I was told that I was brushing my teeth wrong and told how to brush them. Today, she told me to brush them the way I was brushing them 40 years ago. Isn't it amazing, how we seem to revert back to the old days or perhaps we just can't make up our minds how to do things?

Yes, Sheila, Wife took a drive into Kingston and got my specs repaired on Sunday..no charge. She thought when I painted my cane white it was a hint. Just kdding. She takes her mother for a drive Sundays and she took my glasses with her. I don't approve of shopping on Sundays, but I didn't object too strongly.

    Cheers,

    Jim

The good thing about my teeth, they can go visit the dentist without me there.

Good to look after what you have, right way to brush or not. These false ones are not all they are baked up to be. I still have visions of opening up in the pulpit one day and retrieving them from someone's lap in front row.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Hello All.

Diane, it was good to see the grandchildren again. They are growing up so fast.

Yes, other people have joked that Rob was a cradle snatcher. What makes me laugh is when he is mistaken for my father. [IMG]

A visitor in church thought that recently. [IMG]

    Blessings

    Sheila

So good to have everyone up and chatting today. I am back from a new crown (and spent enough to give my dentist a nice week in Cancun). So have numb lip and a winsome smile.

Went to the clinic (ours) and did a couple orders and credit card stuff. Small business owners get charged for everything and more red tape than I like.

Not serving crow. Figured digesting the demise of your favorite team is hard enough without a blowhard like me cramming fish down your throat.

Coach Baker (whom I really disliked in SF and now dislike even more) did say it well: "We had our two best pitchers going. We were playing at home in front of the best fans. If we couldn't win one of those two games, we didn't deserve to go to the World Series."
