Dan, why do you get to go three months before vision blurs? Wait, maybe it is just my mind blurring daily.... [IMG]

When I preach, I incorporate the meaning of verses in my sermon, and flip my Bible as if I am reading it....Truth be known, half the time I can't even see the page, let alone read it...

    Cheers,

    Jim

I did, Barnabas. I even found a site with children's Christmas obscure songs to no avail. We did find a copy of it on a tape we have here. I gave our daughter the CD and many other Christian tapes, videos, etc.... and she claims her daughter didn't like them so she threw them in a box in an old storage shed and they've been ruined or thrown out. Satan is really working hard to keep my two granddaughters away from any 'good' mention of Jesus. Eden, who is 3, will holler out God's name in vain.... Breaks my heart! They live in middle Maine so I cannot pick them up for church and I've sent the local pastor to visit them several times.

BOY HOWDY and Good Morning from Wyoming!

Well, actually 4 pm but this is the first I've been able to take a break and check out wasssuuuppp.

Another beautful fall day. They keep SAYING that cold is on the way, but we've not seen any!

81F, bright sunshine. Walked a mile (THANK YOU JESUS) to have lunch with a Judge, but will take the car later to have dinner at Appleby's with my wifes brother and his wife. He is the editor of our newspaper and his wife was the senator for many years.

We expected to be GONE to see a granddaughter, BUT the baby still shows no signs, so we are limping along in the fridge and JUMPED at the chance for dinner with family here before leaving.

Other than that, not much. But looks like not too much happnin' on the BB anyway. Any day without 10 "alerts" and 5 pm's from unhappy campers is a GREAT DAY! [IMG]

Making a reminder to send Dr. Bob five grumpy pm's just to make his day....... [IMG]

Oh, forgot to mention, cold north wind all day to-day and very cold outdoors at zero. We are now bracing for a long winter..old Indian saying....he can tell by the pile of firewood at Whiteman's house.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Yeah, THANKS A LOT, Jim!

BTW, did you see your name on my History Poll? YOU are one of the options on the list on the poll on 100 year war.

Figured you were around and talked first-hand to the people there . . .

    Hi all:

I cleaned my kitchen and got my laundry done. Then, I decided to take all the furniture out of the bedroom (that is the only room we havent' worked on yet).

I will be repairing and painting in there the rest of the week. I am hoping to have it all put back together by Saturday so I will probably just be able to drop by every now and then...

I do most of my posting early in the morning anyway (while Dr.B. is still [IMG] ).

I need to fix supper and get ready for church. I will pop back in to say good night when I get back home.

    Have a good evening! [IMG]

    Jim,

I guess my eyes just get used to the glasses quickly and then get a little weaker.

I too have the verses in my notes - I use 14 font size - as opposed to the default 12 - and I can still read them without my glasses. I hate to preach or walk with my glasses on - but it will someday not be an option.

Dr. Bob - you're supposed to be colder than us - out there in your mountain home - it just ain't fair.

Dan, I need two different glasses for reading and distance. When preaching, I must decide whether I want to read or see the people, and I prefer to see the people. I take notes into the pulpit, but seldom use them...I quote scripture and flip through my Bible, but I can't see them.

I don't wear glasses at the computer very often now and I can see quite well. The odd time nothing helps. I think all Diabetics experience the blurring vision thingy...we just get used to dealing with it.

Going without glasses, I am told, exercises they eyes and make them work. It is supposed to be good to go without them for stretches......but not whilst driving or walking.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I wish I could! Hubby got new outlets put in bedroom tonight so I can start painting tomorrow.

Not sure what I'm doing exactly except that I am going to paint it all 'country white' then use the feather duster to apply mint green and light blue 'streaks' in some places. (havent' decided if I'm gonna 'featherdust' the top half or the bottom half...prolly the bottom). It is supposed to end up looking like wallpaper.

I want to do the closet doors with it and possibly paint a 'headboard' on the wall to match since I don't have a headboard.

Anyway, will experiment tomorrow and if I don't like it, I can always paint over it. By the time I get it like I want it, I will probably have 10 coats of paint on the wall. [IMG]

Am tired and going to bed, stayed up way later than I had planned!

I will be here tomorrow morning to move the Coffee House to a new location, so if it goes over 20 pages tonight, it will be all right until I get up in the morning. ;)

    Pleasant Dreams All!

My right eye only needs reading glasses. STRONG reading glasses but my left eye is 20/400 WITH glasses. It's bad enough trying to 'see' with such a mixture of eyesight but without glasses my brain goes crazy! First thing in the morning isn't as bad as when I've had on my glasses and then take them off at night! WOW. What a difference!

Need cataract surgery. First, get a million dollars... LOL

In Canada you would not be waiting for money to get what is surgically needed. We walk out debt free.

Is that why so many Canadians, unwilling to wait YEARS for needed surgery, get insurance and come across to Detroit to American hospitals?

You'd have to go a long way to show me that socialized medicine ala Canada is a role model I should want!

It's just not that easy here.

    Just a few questions Jim.
Do you choose your own personal physican?
When you need a specialist do you choose them or is one assigned? Do you have to ask or apply before going to one?
If you need surgery can you choose your surgeon? Do you need to prove you need the surgery and have it approved?
If you need a drug can you just get it, or does it need to be approved for you to have it?
Is there a yearly limit on medical care or drugs?
    Are there any limits?
    Co pays?

Rather than get all technical in a FUN forum, Jim could you start a General Forum thread on the pro/con of the Canadian system?

I would appreciate it. And since I can't BUY insurance in the USA at any price, I'm ready to MOVE TO CANADA!

Time to put away the toys and get busy reading. Tomorrow is another day.

I will stoke the stove since it might get cold where you're add, so the water will heat up in the morning quite quickly for your tea or coffee!

I'll drop by about noonish Evil Yankee time and see who is ooot and abooooot.
