Hi All, well we still see geese at the local ponds so unless there was a family reunion up somewhere north of Sue..... no idea!

Sounds nice Betty. I used to have things for major holidays but when we moved from Conn. south, it cost .43 cents per pound to move things and I gave much to the local homeless shelter thrift store and sold a lot of things.

Not much going on here. Just same old, same old.

Don't get too excited, Sue, I don't think winter is over yet. Probably just some local geese moving around.

Betty: We don't HAVE any local geese. None of them are crazy enough to stick around for the winter!

It's supposed to get colder tonight. I may see them flying in the other direction tomorrow!

I am fixing "Cabbage Dump" for supper. It sure smells good!

Our police dept. sponsored a "What is Christmas All About" essay contest. One of the young boys I cross at my corner (probably 11 yrs. old) won it and he was telling me about it this afternoon. He was so excited!

He won a new Nintendo64 system with 2 games and he is going to read his essay on our local cable station tomorrow night. I promised I would watch it.

The great thing is, he didn't write about Santa Claus. He wrote about Jesus!

Sounds delicious Sue! Jim doesn't like cooked cabbage but loves it raw. I love it both ways. However, he loves saurkraut on hotdogs and reuben sandwiches.

Nick made another new friend this afternoon. A 'darker' boy has moved in down the street and came to play. We've never used terms to denote race so that's how he described him. Isn't that sweet?

Argh... I keep getting bumped off tonight! Bellsouth must have forgotten to feed the hamsters that turn the wheel that run this ISP! Was connected at 26.6 for a while! Up to 49.2 now. Wow... I'm cooking with gas.... and the graphics load great even at 26.6! Amazing, huh?

That's okay. Dial-up is $14.95!

It would be hard to go back to dial up after being on the broadband and yes, it can be expensive.

Is there a way you can bundle it with your phone or cable service?

We can't get DSL here Gib. Bellsouth put in really cheap wiring into the new subdivision. They've got DSL down at church but not in here. However, with our job situation.... it wouldn't matter.

I got asked to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Corn Stove Store. I left a message that I couldn't do Thursday night because of Visitation and haven't heard back. Hope I still am needed.

Diane... did I read somewhere you are having a cavity filled tomorrow? I know how traumatic that is for you! Just keep Nick in mind...didn't he go to the dentist recently and didn't phase him a bit? You won't be outdone by a 9 year old, will you??

LOL.. C.J.! Yep. It's the tooth that had a very deep cavity and he put in the medication and then a medicated temporary filling. I've got another cavity on the other side, exact tooth and have been waiting 6 months for an appointment. I have a cleaning the end of the month.

You're right. Nick went TWICE... but he gets GAS! My TMJ is bothering me right now. I clinch my mouth so tight in my sleep and the jaw aches. Nick's doctor recommended something to help me not clinch at night so I'm going to ask about it. I wrote Gina and she told me what they've given her...

Ug..... Nick prayed tonight for me not to worry!
Thank YOU for remembering! Also, I don't have a way to pay for this but our dentist is our deacon and he's let me pay a few dollars at a time. I think I'm ahead right now.

I see that Sue has left the CGCH neat and clean from last night... She is a terrific host!

Well, since last Saturday, when we had 1°F at night, today we will have 43°F. My, oh my, this will be a regular heatwave! Don't know how we can handle that much heat in one place. But not to worry, in a day or so, the temperature goes down to 0°F - and with the windshield factor, it will be in the minus two digits.

You better check those geese - to see if they have some sort of disoriented disease - mayby mad geese disease - you know they head north - when they should be heading south.
