Wow, Sue, we are still waiting on all the info to file our taxes. They don't have to send it until January 31. After that date, we will compile the info and send to our accountant. I always did the taxes until Ed and I married, but It has become too complicated for me to keep up with everything. New laws, etc.
Diane, I was on a message board once that the trailors or signatures were so bad, that I turned them off so I could read the messages.
A name at the end of the post is one thing, but an entire picture message with the same thing over and over again.....
One can read faster if they can see several posts on the screen and not have to decide what to read and what not to read.

Yep, Betty! They were really pretty but the ladies would have 'signatures' linking to their home pages, their churches, have their whole families pictures and the reply would be...

On the Coffee House, tho, I think they're fun and cute and really enjoyed all the Christmas Graphics. Maybe we can find smaller ones to use for Easter or other holidays so they won't slow down those who have old and slow computers.

This is not a message board, it is a forum and this particular thread is for fun.
We are abiding by webmaster's rule concerning the size of pictures so we are doing fine.
I do not consider this acting like children. I consider it being adults and enjoying our posting time. Even God wants us to have fun sometimes!

Betty; I file elecronically with TurboTax. I filled in everything I could. Now, all I have to do is wait for the statement from the church about our donations. I will just pull Turbo up on the Internet, insert that info and it will be done...automatic deposit too.
Since I used it last year, I didn't have to insert any of the personal info, etc. again.
It's the only way to fly!

I agree with Jim. To have fun is one thing, but this thread seems to have become very superficial, one would hardly recognise it as a Christian thread. If it spoils the enjoyment of others then one must question the validity of the thread as material of a Christian forum.

People: Please remember why this Coffee House was started and please read the RULE on page one (we only have one rule).
We are not here to debate. We are here to fellowship, kick back, and relax. It is also a retreat from the heavier forums.
That is what it has always been and we have gotten to know each other here and have become like a family.
Please let's keep the original purpose of this thread intact...
There are many, many other forums to post on and everyone has the choice of whether to post on this one or not.

I was using TuboTax too until it told me I had to pay an additional $3000. I kept refiguring it, but it continued to say $3000. I took it to a tax accountant and I only had to pay an additional $1200.
Then I married Ed and he has a tax accountant so I don't have to do anything any more but assemble the papers.
I think he charges us about $35.00, but this year he should increase that because there will be more work for him to do.
