Hi guys, I'm still here at work with 2 more hours to go. Gary has asked me to work all day tomorrow and we are desparate for the money so it's a blessing.

Well the hives have gone down but the itch still here. I wonder if this heat is so dry that it irritates it! My back had just about cleared up and then I came back and worked last week and this week. Corn heat is DRY heat! At home we keep humidifiers going.

What's for supper? I guess I'll get to eat again someday. LOL

It's me again! 51 minutes and no one around!

Jim got a call this afternoon about a job. He has to go to N.C. on Tuesday for the in person interview but it looks good. PLEASE keep us in prayer! This is doing what he loves to do.... actually selling the things that are his hobby (stereo/ t.v./ video equipment) and fits his degree. It's a guaranteed salary PLUS commission and car expense. They pay $15. a day for his meals and all his overnight trips are reimbursed. The company has INSURANCE! The reps all wear company shirts which are FREE. This would be our miracle! We'd be hurting for a month or so trying to catch up but maybe I can get Gary to let me work some at the store. He pays me $50. a day for 8 hours. It's not much but the Lord provided it!

Wow.... maybe after Tuesday my hives and itches will go away? Think so? Hey... I might even stop clinching and grinding my TEETH! LOL

You guys are such good and supportive friends. I can't answer your emails from the store but thank you for your prayers, your friendship and for helping me keep my eyes on Jesus during this very trying time in our lives!

    Love,
    Diane

Dear Diane~I truly believe that satan is real and is determined to hinder God's work by attacking His workers.

My son-in-law & daughter have 2 little boys. He lost his job a few weeks ago & today she is in the charity hospital with severe chest pains.

As I told them, I will tell you-"continue standing & living by the truths of God's Word". God loves you, sister Diane, so remember that as you ponder His mercy & abounding grace that brought about your salvation.

There is a reason for these trials, so do not faint. Keep pressing on for God & I will commit myself to unceasing prayer. God Bless. [IMG]

Oh Granny! My family will add them to our list and pray for them! A few years ago we faced a cut back and I didn't pray about it but went and took a night job at Wal-Mart.... Hubby wanted me to 'wait and see' but I didn't. He earned even MORE because of some bonuses and we didn't even need me to work those months. It was an awful time, trying to keep house, take care of my family, home school and work 10:00 pm til 7:00 am. The work I'm doing right now on an 'as needed basis' is for a wonderful Christian man who is trying to start up a business. He pays me $50. a day and I really just sit or visit with customers. I've been able to witness to a lot of people this way too. Last Sunday a couple came to church and they came to the store today and said 'You can be SURE we'll be back' (to church). So.... maybe, just maybe one of those people I've witnessed to or prayed for was the ONLY reason we have had to go through this. Jesus will explain it all someday.

Will be praying and THANK you for your words of wisdom and prayers.

    Diane

CREPE HANGERS. We still have the remnant of that with crepe paper streamers at parties.

Just a generation ago, very few people used funeral parlors. Instead, if someone died, the body was cleaned, placed in a coffin and usually on the kitchen table (or stood up along a wall if the table was full of food).

How did people know that there was a "wake" going on in a house? They made wreaths of black crepe paper for the doors and windows. Some of these were professionally done - by "crepe hangers" who would go to the houses of the recently deceased and seek income from it.

    So now you know.

    Mornin' All!

Thanks Dr B for the crepe hanger info. Always glad to add to my limited store of knowledge.

Cool, crisp Irish winter morning - they are still talking about our first real snow for years the first part of the week.

Trust you all will have a super Saturday!

I'm always up, Sue! [IMG] I've gotten in the habit of rising early(before 5) for years. When the children were small, that'd be my best time to do things. I'm just an "early-morning" person & that's my favorite time of the day. [IMG]

Looks like a warm rainy day~yippeeeeee! [IMG]

If spring is just around the corner in Mississippi - then there are three or four more corners to round before it gets to be spring in New York - and probably five to six corners to get by before it's spring in Jim's neck of the cold woods!

Dan - still taking on a chill!

Mine too Granny. I usually wake up between 3:30 and 4:00 every morning. House is quiet and I can do my own thing without being disturbed. :D

I have seen 12 flocks of geese flying North in the past 10 days or so. That's GOTTA mean something!

Well I must be losing it! I thought I said 'Morning' earlier! LOL.

Would you believe it's already 52°! Big rain moving in for tomorrow but Monday it's to hit 67°. That's how winter is down here. We'll still have some bad weather in Feb. but by March it will be gorgeous most of the time!

I'm here at work and watching 'Finding Nemo' for the 100th time! So I'm stuck here until 7:00 p.m. with not a thing to do....

BTW.... the print on this computer is set on small and settings are locked, so I can't see what I'm typing. Forgive any errors please.

    Good morning, everybody!

Diane, I've never watched "Finding Nemo", but it seems to be quite a popular movie! So, near as I can tell, you have about 6 more hours there? Let's see...if the movie is 2 hours, you can watch it 4 more times!! :D

Hard to tell if spring is close around where I live...not sure if we've even had WINTER! It's been a really strange season here.

Am doing my normal laundry today...but NO ironing!! [IMG]

Well it's good to see our dear friend C.J. back in the fold (laundry pun intended)! We've missed you girl!

Yep..... 4 more hours and not one thing to do! I've answered the phone once and Finding Nemo just went off. I put in Two Towers or some such movie just for noise. It's cold in here. Probably almost as cold as outside. I've got on a big sweater with a turtleneck under it and I'm still cold. OLD buildings....

    Hello all,

I see the main topic is the weather. Looks like we are due to get very cold weather and possibly snow over here this week.

How is everyone? I think we are all looking forward to Spring now, but that will bring with it the rain, well here in England it will anyway. I think I will move my study to the greenhouse.

    God Bless

    Sheila
