I had a good report from my recent blood work.

    A1C = 5.8
    Cholesterol = 144
    Liver function = normal range
    Good numbers!

Dan - so happy I could eat a pound of candy and two pounds of cheese! (But I won't)

Thanks Dan and Congrats on your good 'numbers'! Hubby's blood work came back with good results too last week. He only has to have it done twice a year though.

I am heading off to bed, looks like it will be another rough day tomorrow (weatherwise).

    Pleasant dreams all!

Am trying a new therapy starting tonight and hope it will be positive for my neuropathy. Have to be careful and faithful with it and keep detailed form for the feds, as they are evaluating its efficacious benefits.

So I had to pay about $200 (supplies, etc) instead of $2000 and it is mine to keep after the 30 day period. Can't really say much about it, but it is only an hour and my prayer is it will benefit ME and then the testing will show benefit to EVERYONE.

So, you're one of the feds guinea pigs. Hope this will work for both you and others.

    Oh Diane,

And here I was feeling sorry for myself be cause our washing machine broke down yesterday. What a rebuke for my little faith. We will be praying for you and Jim. Is there any chance that the other job is still open?

"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and HE KNOWETH them that trust in Him" Nahum 1v7

Dr B - hope this treatment is of help to you and gives you some relief.

Roger, I'm trying to wait up for Jim. He's not answering his cell phone. Maybe he just turned it off thinking I'd be sleeping.

He's going to call the head hunter as soon as he can to see if that other job is still open and find out what the problem might be. I'll post as soon as I know anything but will need to help him job search and keep his spirits up. This has really broken his heart.

Thank you all for your prayers. This has been a very hard 2 years for us and sometimes it seems overwhelming. I just don't know what the Lord wants us to do! We've opened the job search nationwide now even tho I feel so sure we were meant to be here. Maybe our 'job' here has been done??

    Diane,

My heart is breaking for you right now. As a husband and father I can really understand the emotions Jim must be struggling with at the moment. No matter how strong we are in the Lord these things hurt when they come along. God is still good, He is still right, and He still knows what is best. It is obvious from your posts that you honour the Lord with your lives. He will bear you up through this. Here I am saying this even though I foolishly have been fretting about our broken down washing machine, but God has carried us through many times such as you all are going through now. Three days after we got married I went back to work to find my job gone so we have been seeing this kind of thing for a long ;) time. I know that God will get you all thought this. Please know that we are praying with knowledge of what you are going through.
    Roger

Sorry for the double post, but wanted to say something else Diane. Here we can identify as well, not so much financially, but as to "success" in the work here. Be assured that someone who knows is praying and that Someone who knows, knows (Psalm 139v1)

I am so very sorry. This is heart-breaking.

But also, what an odd, bizarre, and unprofessional company. And what a bizarre way to handle it.
6:30 in the evening. A phone call. After the interview last WEEK with so many perks promised. I thought the purpose of a salesman was to GET accounts and orders. I thought this company was trying to expand or develop new territory.
It does not SOUND like they understand too much about the business they are in. Sales go up and down. Accounts come and go. But salesmen GET accounts and sales.
It does not sound like a company with a realistic business plan. They SHOULD pay severance. I hope they do. Really strange sounding company here.

(I think a little after 6:00 last night, Dan.)

    Good Morning All!

I woke up at 3:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Yawn... I will definitely have to catch a short nap today!

The snow and ice hasn't started yet, but it is in Springfield, about 30 miles away, so it won't be long.

    Coffee is done...I'll be around!

    Sue,

My guess was 2:00 PM EST - so I was three hours off - and it would have taken place at 5:00 PM EST.

    Diane,

I still praying about your family's situation!

    Good afternoon all!

Good to see you all up and stirring. Had to go buy a new washing machine this morning - didn't buy some cheap Italian brand this time, bought a Whirlpool. A few bob more but it is worth it for Mary's peace of mind.

Praying Diane - keep us updated.

Roger---since you don't have to worry about Mary gettin' the clothes washed anymore----why don't you pack up that old "Scrub Board" of a washin' machine---send it to Blackbird and see if he can "soup" it up---my father in law has several old V-8 engines out in the pasture---Blackbird can "Jerry Rig" a fan belt to the drive and on to the wash tub itself---when Blackbird is finished with it---it'll either wash your clothes or have the ability to carry a platoon of the US Marines' "Best" into the LZ!!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', "Jerry" riggin' buddy,
    Blackbird

Good Morning Dan, Blackbird and Roger!

Roger: Whirlpool will last forever. I can do without a dryer, but I gotta have my washer! I used a wringer machine for years and could do so again if I had to, but I would miss the automatic washer a LOT.

Dan: Your clock is off.

It was 6:00 CST. That would make it 7:00 EST. You were five hours off... ;)

Blackbird: I thought you wanted to use duct tape to make a boat motor out of Roger's old washing machine (like RedGreen)! [IMG]

I am off to the corner, then I have some running to do before the next ice and snow storm hits sometime today. I will see you all later.

    Play nice!

Mary has informed me that we are only buying Whirlpool. Her drier and dishwasher are both Whirlpool. The drier is nine years old. Whirlpool is still made in Italy here, but it must be made according to Whirlpool standards. [IMG]

Blackbird - you send UPS to pick up the old washing machine and it is yours for free!

    Hello everyone.

Diane, I am so sorry to read your news. It must be so hard for Jim. You are both in my prayers.

Dan, what mischief are you planning today then ?

Blackbird, is there nothing that you can't do? Surely with your super powers you could whizz over to Ireland and get that machine fixed up in no time.

Roger, your washing machine chose an inconvenient time to break down too, didn't it?

Sue, How are you, are you ok? I am busy with an essay but I will try and look in every so often,

    God Bless

    Sheila

    I win, I win! I chose 7:00 EST!!!

Thanks everyone for your prayers. Jim got in after 2:00 a.m. and was back up at 5:00 a.m. He called the head hunter about the job he had expected to get. The guy told him they had refused 17 candidates so far and the only thing they had against my Jim was that the older guy was concerned he 'didn't have enough FIRE for the job'. Jim asked the head hunter to call his work references to see just how much 'fire' he had when doing business and asked for another interview with the company. Jim is always SO gung-ho that if you'd told me he had overpowered them or intimidated the younger guy I would have been much less surprised!

    Please keep us in prayer.

    Diane

    Hi everyone!
