    Hello to you all,

Well, it was so quiet in here I went back to bed and have spent most of the morning asleep on and off. I'm still feeling dozey.

How is everyone today, and what are you all up to?
Going for a wander round the threads, back in a few

Hi Sheila, If I ever lay around in the morning, I have a hard time waking up all day! Today is a lazy looking day but I've got to head to the store. I think I'll try to reinstall AIM. I know the password and since I'm going to be there the rest of this week....

Blackbird, Nick ordered a cheese burger and fries but first ate all my broccoli off my Chicken Broccoli Alfredo. Generally he doesn't order from the kids menu but shares whatever I'm having. He doesn't eat McDonald's etc.

Dan, If you've never had Cajun Fried Crawfish... I ordered them once as an appetizer while Jim was on his cell phone. When they came, he took some and kept saying oh how good this is. Finally he asked 'Is this shrimp or what?" When I told him, he ate it anyway. Good food!

Churches around here have fund raisers sometimes where you can eat lunch or take out. Beans and Greens, they call it. Blackeyed Peas and Collard Greens. (I don't put lard or any fat in mine at home. Yuk!)

Well hello sleepy heads and others.

Woke up this morning to,,guess wot? Right you are, snow. Dan's favourite topic.

Dan, what a lovely scenic view of Canisteo. That could pass for a Welsh village in the hills. Thank you.

Judging by the photo, Dan, Dr. Bob and Gib could pass for the three musketeers of the BB. You are all large men to be sure, and bearded to boot.

I suppose, Sheila, you grab your winks when you can. Good on you. At least you are getting sleep.
Thankfully, I have never had a problem sleeping. These days it is a job staying awake.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Dan, I'll be in the Games Forum, etc. but not til around 11:00. I have to pick up the key and alarm 'fob' at Gary's house so it'll take me a bit longer to get to the store today.

It's rainy and yukky here. When Gib left, he took the sunshine with him. ;)

It is a beautiful sun shiny day, but brrrrrrrrrr
3 degree wind chill. That is cold for us.

Now, I have a very serious question that needs answering:

What happens to the envelopes that go with the greeting cards when one buys them by the box?

I have about 6 boxes of cards.....The envelopes do not fit the cards. I know that at one time, I had an envelope for each card. Did I make that many mistakes in addressing them? I don't think so.

Does anyone else have this problem?

What do I do with all these cards without envelopes?

    Any ideas?

Thankful, Oh dear, what a dilemma. I usually put the cards in the envelopes in the hope I won't have to be hunting for the right size envelope at the last minute, which can be usual for me as Itend to be disorganised.
I hope you find a solution.

    Blessings

We bought a bunch of generic envelopes at a pound store. We usually can find an envelope for cards, even if the envelope is a little too big.

Getting ready for our Kids Klub, struggling with the cold Sue shared with us. Hopefully it lost some of its potency on its journey through cyber-space ;) .

Don't get too close to your monitors folks!

    Sheila,

I bought Jan's valentines and birthday presents about two weeks ago - and she's been enjoying them daily!

    Boxes of chocolate candy!

Jim - I'm glad you liked the postcard!

Diane - see you when you get here!

    Betty,

I had that happen once and did not want to waste the card, so, I scotch-taped the card closed and used the back of the card, which was blank, addressed it, attached a stamp and posted it. It worked.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Great idea, Jim. You should submit it to one of those magazines that pay $50.00 for ideas.

I'm going to try that. I'm also going to look for odd size envelopes.

When I stopped in Macon, so did the sun.

Blackbird-the food was good for sure. That waiter was fast. Everytime you put a utensil down or cleared your plate, he wanted to know if he could remove it for you. He almost pulled back a nub when he grabbed the appitizer plate.

Jim-the three musketeers met another and they became four. Are you Dartanian?

Betty, people who do 'stamping' make their own envelopes. I've made some by using pretty construction paper and a glue stick for the homemade cards my children have made for grandparents.

Morning Gib! That waiter was TOO fast. I'm too much of a socializer to eat fast! LOL

Boy Howdy, all from frigid Wyoming. Was -11F when I went to bed and now bright sunshine and up to 5F. Will happily speed this on the way eastward so we can warm up.

What's all this chat about Valentine's Cards? What about Lincoln's Birthday cards? Today is the day, you know. :(

    Good Morning AGAIN!

I got up, posted for awhile, then laid down on the couch. I just woke up! I guess the cold and meds are catching up with me. I NEVER do that!

I looked out the window and it is S N O W I N G!!! This was not even forecast! Hubby just got all the walks cleaned off really good last night, he will be thrilled!

I have some documents to type up in word processing, but I will be around. I don't think I'll need a nap this afternoon now! [IMG]

Oh Well, I tried to load the AIM chat and it won't let me. I'll talk to the owner next week about putting it in. We're all signed in on this computer under different names so I'd have to load it on his site... and not sure how that would work.

Hope you're feeling better Sue. Colds don't USUALLY last more than a day or so with me. This one has me feeling not so hot but that's about it.

    Oh I'd LOVE a nap!

    Diane,

Just lean your head back - close your eyes - and you should be able to get in a cap nap or two!

Of course you should attach a cowbell (or whatever it's southern equal is) to the door - so if any one comes in - you would either wake up or fall off your stool!
