    Good Morning Sheila and Roger;

I didn't sleep well last night. Troublesome dreams... I have been up since before 3:00AM. I got tired of tossing and turning.

Dr.B. Chicken broth added more salt. You should have stuck with just adding water and a small amount of sugar! I never add salt to my ham and beans, the ham is usually salty enough.

It is cold here this morning, but supposed to be slightly above freezing today! Haven't seen 32ºF for quite awhile!

Jan likes split pea soup - i could easily live without it.

We both like bean soup - I like a fair amount of salt in it - but don't want it to be as saltly as the Dead Sea.

There was frost on the pumpkin (if we had a pumpkin) this morning - I'm ready for spring, summer, and even fall - just get rid of this snow and ice!

Dan - I'll try not to complain any more today - but no promises!

    Good Morning Dan and Blackbird!

Blackbird: Troublesome dreams means troublesome dreams. I like it! [IMG]

Dan: No precipitation is expected for the next few days, but I'm not sure if what we already have on the ground will be melted by then.

I have gotten into the habit lately of posting early and then doing some household chores BEFORE I go to the corner. Makes me feel good! :D

I will see y'all when I get back.

    TTFN!

    Sue,

The only problem with no precipitation is that the sky is usually clear - clear skies = radiational cooling - means higher heating bills - also frost on the window of the car!

Dan - I promised not to complain - but couldn't help myself!

    Good day!

Sheila, I passed on your greetings to Jeannie at Crosswalk yesterday. She returns the favour, and expresses her best wishes to you. She also asked for prayer in her daughter's behalf. She has a numbing of her leg and having great difficulty walking. This is the anorexic daughter.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, Thank you. I will e-mail her.

I just woke up, must have slept for over an hour.

Going to find some coffee, back in a while,

    God Bless

Sheila; I am going to try and sneak in a [IMG] nap today too!

I have been trying to get ahold of the local USDA office to see if there is ANYthing that will retard growth of the seedballs on our Sweet Gum Trees. The seedballs mature in autumn and persist into winter. The sharp, pointed, woody capsules give them a spiny appearance.

We still have hundreds on the two trees in front and in the summer time, they hurt your feet when you step on them...feels like stepping on spikes!

We can't afford to have them removed, so we rake 12 months out of the year!

Sue, that doesn't sound too good. I hope they come up with a solution for you.

    Sheila (still yawning here)

CJ, how perceptive you are! I have been concerned about the church that my grandchildren are attending, but no more. I did tell about my experience on this thread:

    Tell us about your Day

I am praying for you and your brother and his wife.

Good Morning, All. I haven't caught up with all the posts here.

Don't you just wish that we could use BB like a paging device?

Wouldn't it be fun to be able to push a button - and wake Dr. Bob up right now?

Dan - certainly up to mischief this morning - if there was a way to be up to mischief like that! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Dan...you can run, but you can't hide! I think you'd better try though!

I have a few of those prickly sweet gums I can send you to sneak in his bed.

    Good Morning Dr.B.!

In the interest of remaining neutral, I will not tell you 'who done it'.

    Sue,

I don't like to take advantage of anyone's difficulties, much less bring them up in conversation.

But I read some of Dr. Bob's posts of yesterday - and unless he has an electric run-about - he's in no condition to catch me!

Dr. Bob - forgive my insensitivity - I couldn't help myself - mischief you know!

Dan - may be in the same boat one of these days!

Actually DID get beeped at 8:01. Local Wells Fargo Banker telling me that they ARE looking into my "missing" deposit.

    Isn't that nice.

Figure the FBI will be knocking on Diane's door by noon . .

    Br. Bob,

Suggest you look for someone who's just left for an extended vacation in some remote south sea island.

Then you'll likely find the culprit!

Dan - haven't taken an extended vacation - ever!

Nah, it wasn't that much money. Couldn't make it very long in this economy with $2k. Hardly cover the flight to Tahiti and a nice hotel for a coupla days . . .

BUT IT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. How 'bout we meet at JFK and catch a flight out of the snow and winter? :D

Dr. Bob, a quick rememdy for broth that is too salty is to add a couple of raw, cut up potatoes. They absorb the saltiness. Remove them before serving!

Well Nick got up with a tiny cold (stuffy nose and sneezing once in a while) but felt great so we went to swim lessons. Most of the children in his class also have colds. He had a really good time. The humidity in the pool area does wonders for my dry skin. My hands look so much younger!

Jim went out today and did some drop in type calls on people he'd sent resumes to. He also called some people he'd sent resumes to who are out of state. Praying something happens soon. He's getting our tax paperwork ready to take to our tax man. Since he's worked for himself and everything is on 1099's, it's easier to let someone do it and they only charge us $40. since we were one of their original customers. Praying we get back enough money to pay this months bills. We made only $14,000 this past year!

Thanks for the good tip. May try it on the left over 2 quarts of soup I have!

And still praying for Jim. Only so much time to "coast" on a small income before major changes must occur. Tough.
