    Lea,

It would be nice to have a garden. The heat will not allow us to raise much in the summer. In September I plan to put out the tomatoes and other veggies. I just have a hard time eating the ones out of a box, no taste. I guess I have nothing to complain about we get about 6 - 7 months of the greatest weather anywhere.

My, you were a chatty bunch this morning! [IMG]

I have been busy doing laundry, dishes, making homemade barbecues out of left-over pot roast and playing Nintendo with Brent.

It is only in the 70's here today, but is still very hard to breathe because the humidity is 94%.

Well, off to return books to the library and movies to the video store (don't like those late charges)...

    Have a good afternoon!

We have the four seasons here in the north east!

    Almost winter!
    Winter!
    Still winter!
    Construction!

Serioiusly - it's not that bad. January through early March is usually cold and snowy.

May through early October is usually lovely weather. My garden is now in - and growing nicely. The corn will not be knee high by the fourth of July - but we should still have plenty to eat in September!

    Thanks,

How wonderful that would feel. Even at night here it will only cool down to around 85 degrees.

Just added this to the prayer request forum, but want to share that my granddaughter "Pudgie" (Natalie Elizabeth, aged 7 months) just rolled off the changing table as my daughter reached to get new diapers. She hit the floor hard, broke the bone in her thigh right above the knee, and is at the hospital getting a cast. They are going to keep her overnight for observation for concussion.

    Oh my . . [IMG]

Thunder is rubbling here ... cooled off to 82F. Got about an inch of rain in the last hour. We have needed it. The garden has been hurt by the high humidity and temps. Summer squash has just about played out already. Got my first okra today and first tomato.

"Rubbling"? Is that a Georgia word?

We had a shower go through at noon and now taking the kids to the park. Only 61, so they have to bundle.

And more t-storms due tonight. Oh my.

Wow... you guys sure have been chatty! The books are all delivered. We worked like crazy til late last night and were up and out of the house early this morning. We finished just after noon. I delivered the paperwork before 2:00 and will find out how much I'm to be paid sometime Wednesday. They're calling several people off each delivery page asking if they were pleased with where the book was left. I believe it's the companies way of not paying 'bonuses'. We'll see. We KNOW we did all we could.

Dr. Bob, praying for little Natalie! I know Mommie will 'guilt' herself for a long time over that! Babies are so dear but they sure can roll and get into everything!

It's only 76° right now but the humidity is so high that it feels closer to 90°! Oh I'd love a rainy night in Georgia! I do NOT like to use the air and we really cannot afford it!

    Dr Bob,

Just prayed for your grand-daughter. My heart sank as I read your post. I know mom is having a hard time right now.

Visited dad at rehab center. Seems to be doing some better. He will start therapy tomorrow. Their insurance will take care of 20 days, we are praying that he will be ready to go home by that time.
