(Hopefuly I'll get to come at least for a bit. It would probably be just me and the kids.)

And Grits for breakfast! Blackeyed Peas are a must! Slimy okra too! Sheila and Rob must experience the TRUE south and not what Dr. Bob interprets the south to be! LOL

BOY HOWDY from Wyomig. Few clouds lazy in the blue, 55F and everyone sleeping in. Road work is 2 blocks away and all we hear is the beep-beep-beep of the big trucks.

Sheila - Think it has something to do with John Wayne in the movie "True Grit" and wearing an eye-patch while you eat corn mush.

Diane - "I THANK GOD He has not made me a gentile dog or a woman" (actual rabinical prayer that MAY have some basis in menopause . . )

Sheila - I can send you some sawdust from my workbench in the garage. Just add water and you get the same flavor and texture.

Oh, wait, the wife says BETTER than Instant Grits and all your fiber needs . . .

Diane, if you are short on sleeping accommodation and have green carpets, Rob and I can sleep on the floor and pretend we are camping... [IMG]

    Diane,

I suspect Jan has had or does have most of those symptoms! The ones she doesn't have are because she had a hysterectomy many years ago!

But you all should feel sorry for her - because in addition to those symtpoms - she has to put up with me!

PS - Jan has celiacs disease - which causes many problems in addition to the ones she has from being a 54 YO woman (and being married to me)!

I don't want the okra to be slimy . . .I don't even know how to cook it that way.

The best way is breaded with seasoned cornmeal and fried. [IMG] [IMG]

But Diane is not a fried food gal is she?

I have only ever had okra in curry, and as a side dish in Greece Rob tells me, but I don't remember that at all.

Oh I LOVE fried okra! Has to be freshly fried tho!

It's so hard to type without my index finger! Still aches on and off but it's only been two days. The cut has now closed pretty much. You can see a gap in the skin still. OUCH!
