    Good morning all;

I slept in until 4:00 this morning! We got the papers delivered by 6:30, but then Brent and I went to McDonald's and got a breakfast sandwich and orange juice to go.

We sat out in their parking lot to watch the hot air balloons launch. They didn't! I guess the weather wasn't good enough and today is the last day. :(

What a disappointment! A Balloon Fest with no balloons...

I need to get the other guys up and fix breakfast, then fight over the bathroom so we can all get ready for SS and church.

We are going to a Craft Fair today. All 1800's music and crafts (quilting, lace-making, wood-carving, etc.)

I will be back when I get back. ;)

    TTFN and HAGD!

What? Slept until 4:00 a.m.? You lazy bum! LOL. Nick called next door to play with his friend who lives there every other week and at 1:50, the child had not had BREAKFAST and was still in his jammies. It's 3:31 and they STILL have not had any food today. Go figure.... young parents...

I'm ready for a nap! Jim and I had a house full in Sunday School today!

Well Nick kept talking to me so no nap and now I feel really yukky! I think it's allergies tho. My head feels 'thick' and my cheekbones sort of ache so I took some Benadryl a few minutes ago.

    How's everyone this hot evening?

Inside, shorts on and sitting by the air vent. The air didn't get turned on in the church till about 15 minutes before the service. It was sticky the whole time.

Someone wanted to talk my ear off after the service. By then, they had turned off the air and it was way hot.

We had about 60 folks show up for our hymn sang. I gave my testimony and the pastor sang. Now there's a switch. Good day.

It's pretty bad when we hope for hurricanes so it'll cool down some round here parts!

It's 75° but almost 90% humidity so not that nice tonight! The pollen is so very high too... Ragweed and a couple of other things are bad right now.

Rev. Dan Dockery preached today. He's good but not as dynamic as we're used to. He did, however, inspire some people to volunteer to teach Sunday School. We still had some classes without teachers for next week! A lot of our older teachers retired this year and some waited until a few weeks ago to let the nominating committee know. Hubby asked me wouldn't I rather teach the teens! YIKES! No Way ...... Never! Nada! I'll take the 4 year olds anyday!

I'm going to bed folks. I am going to get Brent in the habit of going to bed earlier than he is used to because his school starts next week and he will be getting up around 6:30.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Kelly called us last night - he said - "we've got a boy - (pause - pause) - at least that's what the sonogram said!"

    Elizabeth's due date is tomorrow!

    Kelly is a brat.

I told the folks at church this morning that Jan's son called! My mother thought the baby had been born when I was halfway through what Kelly had said. Then I asked the church folk where they thought Kelly got his sense of humor from - and one lady said she knew exactly where it came from.

Do you think she was referring to me?

I like that humour! How refreshing! All the best to the becoming mum on the date of delivery.

    Cheers,

    Good Morning Jim,

Are you late going to bed or up early?

It is dull and cloudy here at the moment. We are looking forward to sunny, warm weather in North Carolina on Friday.

I hope you have a good day.

    Blessings

    Sheila

    Hi Sheila,

It is just five now and I am always up at this time of day for devotions and prayer time.

It remains dark outdoors, but it has been rainy of late, and we expect more of the same to-day. I am sure you will enjoy your time in North Carolina. We always enjoyed it there; the people and the place.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Hello Jim,

Thank you. I am sure we will enjoy seeing North Carolina and all the other places we will be visiting. Our hosts have planned a full schedule for us, including a 3 day trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We are hoping for better weather than we have here.

    God Bless

    Sheila

Good morning Jim and Sheila and all who will be rising later in the day:

It is a cool 52ºF and very foggy here this morning with the humidity holding steady at 94% with a high of 78º expected.

Today is laundry and grocery-shopping day. Mondays are always busy around here. Hopefully, I will get a call from the doctor today with my test results...

    Cruising,

Uh Oh Sheila! There's a tropical storm (hurricane remnant) moving up the coast so you probably will arrive to rain and lots of it! There's another hurricane heading toward the east coast too. A third one is headed toward the north east all at once!

Sue, I'll be praying and waiting for those results. Please let us know as soon as you hear anything.

It's laundry day here too. Monday's always are my biggest work load days and either my allergies are very bad or I have a cold. :(

Jim left for his new job and will leave from there to fly to D.C. tonight. He'll be in the Maryland/ D.C. area until late Thursday night. He's hoping he can visit with our grandson but it looks like his training will be long days.... with our son and dil working long hours... and the grandbaby in daycare until as late as 7:30 some nights. We do, however, get to have Jack come and stay with us for 5 days, 4 nights in Oct. again this year and are really excited about that.

Well another load awaits and I've got some church phone calls that cannot wait... so talk to you all later and may God keep you safe and close to His throne today!

I am back from the corner and have my first load of laundry in the washer.

My doctor called and set up an appointment for me to see a surgeon on September 8th so HE can decide if he wants to biopsy, do surgery, leave it alone, or whatever.

My doctor said it doesn't 'appear' to be cancerous. PTL!

I would expect the surgeon to want to do a biopsy just because he is a surgeon and that's what he does but I sure will be praying for a complete healing.... even for the masses to be gone before you see the surgeon!

I'm on load 3 and it's a chore for me today. My head feels so weird but I really think it's allergies. I don't get many colds but one of the children I keep was sick all last week with 'allergies' that sounded like a cold to me!

    Thanks Diane!

(I can't help remembering that the doctors said Shawna's cyst wasn't cancerous. And it wasn't - but there was a cancerous tumor hiding BEHIND the cyst...)

I was up most of the night, vomiting. I still feel a little sick this morning. I have NO CLUE what is going on...

Off to do laundry load #2. I think I have about 5 loads and then there's the ironing..... YUK!

Ironing - I like wrinkles - just as long as they're not on my face! [IMG]
