Good Morning Barnabas, Blackbird, Gib, and all who will be rising later:

I see Dr.B. left a cheese danish in the CH fridge. It was SO good. Thanks for thinking of me! I couldn't quite make out who was sleeping next to the fridge - so I was very quiet. ;)

Today is my first morning back at 'the corner' and it is pouring down rain! I probably won't have many kids cross as they will be bringing all their 'new' school supplies with them. I imagine the parents who don't work will be giving them a ride. But there are always a 'few' who have to walk no matter WHAT the weather is doing...

Hubby has gone to work and the three boys are still sleeping. Ahhh, the blessed quiet!

Brother Tim, Peter was also 'tempted by Satan'. Jesus said.... in my loose translation... "Peter, Satan has asked for permission to sift you as chaff. I'm going to pray for you. When you return, strengthen your brothers!"

Morning all! I woke with a pounding sinus headache on my left side and a very slow internet connection. I've shut down and redialed a few times and this is the best I can get so far today. I did get to sleep til 7 but the headache hit me when I turned my head and that was the end of that! It's not hurting now thanks to Ibuprofen but still very stuffy because I ran out of Benadryl.

I didn't do my ironing last night. Erin called and talked until 11:00 p.m. She's got a habit of doing that and when I have Tyler, I have to tell her that I just can't talk. Her husband works from 4 til midnight like her Dad (Jim's working 3:30 til midnight right now) so she puts her two girls to bed and calls me. That girl has always been a talker! Whew.... I get to say four or five words a night. LOL

And in closing.... for Brother Tim.... a quote from Job....

Tho HE slay me.... yet will I follow..

Queen Esther said before approaching the King who could call for her death for entering his throne room without being called for... If I perish, I perish...

My little lady and I celebrated 34 years of wedded bliss yesterday.

I bought her some flowers and candy - she was surprised!

My, I was so busy I forgot to say "hey" to you all Dan. Trust your time was special. And that you did not SAMPLE the candy!

Lovely morning in Casper. After cool windy (50mph) day yesterday (blew my patio furniture over) it is cool and only light breezes today. Prolly about 56F.

This time of year it is usually 83F for a high and this year we are running 71F. I don't mind. Snow in Yellowstone and Grand Teton for later this week.

SNOW?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY a day late DAN!

The Anniversary thread disappeared so I am not able to post greetings until people resubmit their information. :(

I didn't get rained on this morning, but I may when I go back from 10-10:45 and I will 'for sure' get rained on delivering papers this afternoon!

Got work to do....

Evening folks:

Welcome back Jul....I like your picture!

Well, Bobby is in Eagle Point, Arkansas, with the Pastor. Pastor is speaking at the training camp there. They will be back Friday or Saturday.

Worked the corner 3 times today and delivered papers. I sold a book on eBay and had to go to the USPS to mail it. Went to Wally World and 'Sally's Boutique', then came home and fixed rib eye steak, bread sticks, steak fries, and salad for supper.

I will be relaxing the rest of the evening!!!

Hope y'all have a GOOD one!

HI Jul and all.

It's been a long day since I woke with such a horrible sinus headache. The Benadryl and Ibuprofen sure worked but I'm going to need another dose before bed. Ragweed is NOT my friend!

Little Ty is still quite sick with a high fever and he's going back to the doctor tomorrow. Since their vacation starts Thursday morning, I won't have him again until a week from tomorrow.

Saturday is our yearly AWANA Leadership training and we have to leave the church by 5:30. I'm not exactly sure WHY since it's not THAT far away but hey... I'm not driving. I did offer my car but the fella driving doesn't drive standard.
We're going to take the church van instead. It gets over early afternoon but it's still quite a long and hard day.

We've been watching the olympics. USA just won the women's volleyball gold medal - first time ever.

I am going to bed a little early and watch TV there. It will take me a week or so to get used to getting out in the mornings again...

Pleasant dreams all!

I've not watched even one minute of the Olympics. They hold no interest for me. Meanwhile, I've cleaned up micro machines, matchbox cars, road carpet, road signs, kids paint, brushes, extra paper, put the painted things to dry (the kids made fans for mom and some other 'creations' that I have NO idea what to call them), loaded and started the d/w, got Nick showered and in his room, got a load of clothes in the washer and dryer, painted my fingernails and got into my jammies for some t.v.

The ironing is still here. I was hoping for a rain storm so I could get in the ironing mood. Any excuse, any excuse...

I've gotten out some games for tomorrow. I try to rotate what we have out each day so the kids are surprised and kept busy each afternoon. Tomorrow night is AWANA and we've got some plans... PRAY they go over well!

Take control, Diane! A good plan always helps. Tomorrow night will be better. But it has to be, doesn't it? No where to go but up! May the Lord guide you, and send you help, human and otherwise.

Blackbird does not need an excuse for "doin' nothin'!" He just does it! And does a fine job at it!! Its hard to mess up doin' nothin'! Try it tomorrow, Diane!!

OH NO! I'm watching the game on TV and the US rallied in Game 3&4 but got killed in game 5 and eliminated.

USA hasn't won a VB medal in 3 Olympics!

Where did you get your info???

Now the beach volleyball (2 girl nonsense) did go to the US, but that was a day ago.
