    Good morning, everyone!

Today is going smoother than yesterday [IMG]

I'm watching my University play in a National Championship game and this one isn't OU.

Mary Hardin-Baylor is playing for the national championship in their Division. This is only the seventh season that they have had a football team. When I was there it was a women only college. Texas Baptists and the city of Belton wanted a co-ed school and then of course, it was a sign of the times. When I attended, men could take classes, but could not receive a degree.

So far it has been a good game, but we are behind 21-13.

    Have a great weekend!

    Thanks Brother Barnabas.

I am familiar with that photo site, but not with the programs I have on this new computer,,Adobe Photo Shop...I may be better in a year's time.

I sent Sheila a card with the same scene on it. Maybe she can show it here when she gets it.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Oh what a beautiful little girl Roger! My how she's grown too. I know how hard it is not to see the little ones this time of year.

We had some really good Buffalo wings tonight. Nick had his with honey. Jim grilled them outside and then we finished them inside.

Our windchill tomorrow night is to be 3° degrees! We just might have some freezing rain tonight. We have Calcium Chloride for our steep driveway but I'd guess that most people around here don't!

Our Sunday School kids were wild last week. I had a really hard time getting through the Bible Story because of them all wanting to tell me something about Christmas. Hope I can control them better in the morning! I have some Nativity Story Books to share.

Jim has to buy a $25. gift for his office party and we have no idea what to get. There's a few women and the men are all ages. It's one of those silly gift exchanges where you can take someone elses gift when it's your turn. Suggestions? This is a Christian owned company and most of the employees are Christians.

    Gift Certificate to Cracker Barrel?

Jim was thinking Gift Certificate. I told him to ask around the office on Monday to see what the usual type gifts are. He'd want CD's but no one would chose the type music he'd like around here! LOL

    Diane,

What about a book certificate from a Christian Book Store? Or one of Charles Stanley's books? I am enjoying his "When the Enemy Strikes".

    Jim,

Sorry, but the card hasn't arrived yet.

    God Bless

What about some jewelry for Big Daddy's Beadery? I hear he fashions walking stick as well.

Now a walking stick WOULD come in handy! LOL. The guys had a mouse in their hotel room at training. Jim took him outside and let him go. If it had been a RAT tho! Wham!

We are remodeling our office. We've taken
several old ceiling tiles down to be
replaced. A co-worker went into her office,
sat down and reached for phone. There sat
at pigeon. She screamed and fell out of her
chair. Of course this set the bird off as
    well.

Everyone was in a state of panic. The painters
were blocking the hall, so I couldn't get to
the scene. Our plant mgr was in the office.
He went in, shut the door and came out with
the bird in hand. What would you expect from
a good ole boy from Alabama.

Back from doing the papers. It is 8º with a wind chill of -3º. Brrrrrrrrrr. I am not allowed to start throwing papers until tommorrow, so hubby just about froze! We left Brent home sleeping, he can't do the heavy Sunday papers with THREE inserts full of ads and THREE sections of the regular newspaper!

Going to jump in the shower to get warm.

I have everything ready for our "1st" Christmas 'dinner' today.

Headin' out into the high plains again in ten minutes. Preaching at Dry Creek on "Hurry Up and Wait" - a sermon on some of the characters of the biblical Christmas story. 91.2 mile drive for ME to "hurry up and wait"!

BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE. Praise God. Bright blue sky. Sunrise over the mountains (sun is coming up pretty far southeast now). No snow. 49F for a high. Church carry-in dinner.

    Appreciate your prayers.
