    Good morning all:

blackbird: They're both good things to do. ;)

Tater: I don't believe God makes mistakes, but if He ever made one - it would be the slug. YUK!

It is a crisp 23º here this morning and we still have the roads covered with ice. My car will have to be scraped and the doors pried open again this morning...

I am making enough sloppy joes for 40 people today and freezing 1/2 of it. I have no doubt, the boys at Brent's birthday party tomorrow, will take care of the other 1/2! [IMG]

I have the Christmas decorations wrapped and boxed up, but they're still sitting in the kitchen. I will make it to the storage room with them today. :D

Diane: Thanks for the game suggestions. We will be playing 'Pin the Nose on the Snowman' (already have it made), 'Straw Hockey' (have the straws and ping pong ball), and 'Spider Web' (will string the yarn while Brent is at basketball practice tomorrow morning). [IMG]

    Cruising,

You may PM Dr. Bob, Roger and Tony. They may need your help.

My neighbor got a cute little kitty. She asked
me if I wanted to hold it. Part of me wanted to
take that kitty and drop it on it's head, but the
polite me said, "no thank you." If I find in it
hanging out in my yard, well...boomp.

Well, Gib. If you ever come to visit us, I will be sure to board Oreo at the Vets for the duration of your stay. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Good Morning everyone!

Sue, with his attitude, I don't know that I'd want Gib in the same city with my kitty. ;)

Sloppy joes sound good, I haven't had good ones in a long time. Is your recipe on the recipe thread?

Gib, thank for the sugestion! I can make kilts, but it'll be up to them to find the proper plaid for their clan. I wonder if a local weaver would come up with a plaid just for the BB.

Tater Tot, you mean you didn't put that slug in a jar with some rotten leaves and keep it as a pet for the girls? We found a huge zebra slug in the backyard this past summer. The thing was as long as my thumb. Son kept it for several weeks until I caught him gone one day and threw it out.

Ya'll have a good day! I'm headed off to the neverending land of housecleaning.........

    MK:

I will email the recipe to you. It makes enough for 20, but I am doubling it and freezing half. It freezes really well and it is VERY GOOD!

I am off of here to get some work done that HAS to be done today.

    HAGD!

Thanks Sue. It sounds like a good recipe to adapt for my slow cooker I use on Wednesday nights. I usually want something on Wednesdays that the kids and I can eat before church and T can still eat hot when he gets home from work.

Hi Everyone, I turned on the computer long enough to get rid of all the porn email I got this morning and then we had the vet, the bank, gas for the car and then a cake to bake for Jon's 28th birthday. The cake's still in the oven and the house sure smells good.

Patches was very good for her shot. They gave her a treat and a toy mouse. We didn't even have to put her in a box to ride in the car. She sat in the booster seat I have for Max.

The news today says that Georgia is fighting a strain of staph on the skin and the hospital ER's are seeing so many people who think they've been bitten by a spider but actually have staph! They're telling people to wash their hands in 70% alcohol or bathe in a tub with 1/2 cup of liquid bleach! "A new strain of the Staph germ is ripping through the state and health officials are calling it an epidemic. "

Whoops! The cake is ready. [IMG]

Oh Gib that was just wrong. [IMG] Diane, the best way to solve the junk email problem is to set up a "business" account just for signing up for things like credit cards, Ebay, etc... That way the one you check with messages from you friends won't be so cluttered.

I have MailGuard through Bellsouth and a firewall through Norton but it gets in... I don't want to change my email addy. I've had this one for 5 1/2 years now. I get so many devotionals and Bible studies each day too. All in all, we get about 150 emails a day. The porn just started back up and is being sent to our email addy specifically. I turn it all into the FTC and Thisisspam@bellsouth.net and then I block each one manually.

    Thanks tho. Whoops.... Pizza's here!

We ordered 2 mediums at our usual place. It's buy one, get one free every day. We got a Romero's special with all the veggies, meats and even Ricotta cheeese and a sausage, mushroom, pepperoni. Three of us ate and we still have 1/2 of each left.

So Gayla, are the molds and mildews making all of you sick? It's all over our news about how this is one of the rare winters where the temps are too high and the leaf and grass mold and mildew are raging.

Also, there's a new staph sending a lot of people to the ER. It's not responding to antibiotics well at all.

So, not much going on tonight. We FINALLY sold some speakers and a subwoofer off Audiogon. We were trying to make it local only but a fella offered us $100. for boxing and shipping so.... we're going to use DHL. We've not ever had trouble with THEM. No thanks to FedEx!

Actually, we're staying healthy so far.
Haven't heard about that or the staph. Not sure I want to check out the link for that one!

There's no pictures, Gayla. It says people are getting tiny scratches and ending up in the ER with bad infections. The CDC is calling it an 'epidemic' in Georgia. The staph isn't reacting well to meds either. The doctor recommended people wash their hands with 70% alcohol or if they have questionable lesions, to bathe in a tub of warm water with 1/2 cup of Chlorox!!!

    Good morning all:

Papers are delivered (in about 3 inches of snow with ice underneath)! I let Brent and Dale sleep in this morning and did them myself.

Now, I am going to try and get some games set up for the birthday party (11:00-3:00). Two of the boys are coming from out-of-town, I sure hope the roads don't stop them from getting here.

I will be back when I finish the deco.

§ue (the gods must be crazy!)

Here are some pictures of my living room after the Spider Web game is in place. I just about killed myself trying to walk through it. You DON'T want to know how long it took me to do this! [IMG]

The boys will have a ball trying to untangle it. I may be stuck at my computer until they do!

    Good morning, ya'll!

Oh my Sue, someone is going to have fun! Do not break your neck crossing back and forth through all that.

Upward Basketball starts this morning. Bitsy's first game will be here in a few minute's. Son's starts at noon. At least there are only two games this year. Last year all three played and Saturdays were wild! I am a little sad that Precious is to old to play this year. She has played since she was in first grade.

Guess I had better get ready for the day to start.....My coffee cup is empty and we don't want to be late......See ya!
