Oreo weighs 4 1/2 pounds. The Vet said he was 4 months old - not five months.

He got off of my lap just long enough to eat, drink, and use the litter box (filled with shredded paper until her paws heal) and she is right back on my lap.

    Such sweet kitties!

My cold medicine has finally worn off and I'm beginning to feel human again. Just in time to go to bed!

Actually, I believe I'll stay up a while and do a few things. I have some laundry to wash and such.

I believe supper is just about ready so I'd better go check on it.

Oreo looks much larger than that in the last picture on your lap but then it's a close up. Patches is all hair. LOL The vet guessed 6 months for her. She was dumped with some others at a local farm and brought in by the farmer and his wife. I hope she doesn't get MUCH larger.

Glad you're feeling better M.K.! I took Benadryl before S/S and my head is starting to clog back up.

Haha! If I had taken benadryl I'd still be asleep! My body doesn't like most medicines and it's usual reaction is to put me to sleep. Another reason I don't take anything unless I'm really suffering. Advil can even make me sleepy.

I take a generic Benadryl D which also has suphedrine so one makes me sleepy and one wakes me up! It takes both to open up my sinuses tho. I will NOT take Tylenol or anything but aspirin. If I am VERY sick, Nyquil (generic) but I have to be really sick with a cold.

It sure feels a lot later than 9:00! Ty comes at 5:30. I don't enjoy getting up early but most days he goes back to sleep. Tuesday and Thursday, I think I have Jackson for a few hours which means no going back to bed for me. Ug...

Once I'm up, no matter what time it is, there's no going back to bed for me. I can't get back to sleep.

I AM, however, going to sleep now...

My big cat - Ishe - weighs close to 20 pounds - he loves to lay on my lap when I'm in my recliner.

I think Ishe could easily whoop Gib - and I'm thinking of sending him down to do the job - if Gib doesn't stop bad mouthing cats! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Dan - the cat man!

Morning all, Jim had a bad night so I went back to sleep about 6:30 after Ty came in and slept until 9:00. Nick was up and was watching cartoons from my bed.

We're starting back school today and Nick's already at the table so just a quick hello. Hope everyone has a lovely day!

    Good morning, everyone.

It is absolutely a Monday morning around here. The house is a wreck, Bitsy did her usual whining about not feeling well, the oldest forgot her lunch money and I'm sneezing my head off and afraid to take anything for it after yesterday. At least I don't feel to bad....

Sue, I'm glad you got some rest.

Dr Bob, it so bad around here that I haven't had Chinese since the discussion got started!

It is definately going to be one of those days. While I was posting the school called me about Bitsy. I told them to keep her. It sounds hard hearted but I really believe she is just trying to play me. She was fine all weekend. They'll call me back if she keeps up.

I guess I'd better get some decent clothes on though. They look funny at me if I go to school in my house cleaning clothes.

    On with the day!

Yep, still sneezing here too. It's to freeze later in the week so that'll help kill the leaf molds and mildews!

    Back to school work!

We are back from the corner and Brent is doing his school work.

I always let the birthday people pick their birthday meal for supper. I thought for sure Brent would pick fried chicken, corn on the cob, and salad, but he surprised me.

He wants homemade pizza - so I guess a trip to the store is in order. He also wants a lemon cake with lemon icing. Shawna is baking the cake and will bring it over after supper. We will have cake and ice cream and give him the presents we got him and probably play a couple of games.

I will be cleaning up from the party on Saturday. I was too tired to do it after all the boys left and I don't like to do it on Sunday (my only day of rest)...

Don't blame you Sue but I end up doing housework on Saturday and Sunday because of having all the kids in our house Mon - Friday.

The mother of the 20 month old called and wanted to come over just to play today. I told her no. It's our first day back at home schooling and when she's here, I have to watch her child. She lets him run wild!

Nick's schooling is going quite fast today. His reading was on WWII and he likes history. His math is fractions, greater than, less than. His handwriting was freestyle (write your own thoughts about where you live) in ink. There was nothing hard or new today. Even his grammar is parts of a story. We're into a unit on parts of a story, book, dictionary, library, etc. It's almost all reading with no work pages. He'll do his first book report in a couple of weeks. He gets to choose his book.

So, another load of laundry is almost done and time to do my sheets. TTYL

I think I do housework every day! I try to get the laundry mostly done on Monday so the rest of the week I can just throw in a load when I feel like it. I'm about half done with the downstairs. I'll probably only finish there and leave the upstairs for the kids to do this evening. Upstairs is thier bedrooms anyway, so I can just close their doors and forget it.

Bitsy didn't call me back so I guess she decided to stay at school a while. I'll probably hear about it when I pick her up. Where are my earplugs anyway? ;)

Lunch is over, time to go change the sheets in my room and clean up in there. Then the kitchen, I save my favorite job for last. There goes the phone, see ya later.

I've got my sheets ready for the dryer and a load to fold. I leave to pick up my after school kids in 30 mins. There's such a difference in the atmosphere without the extra two!

Tomorrow I keep the 21 month old from 8:15 - 11:00 ish. He is a MAJOR handful! I put up the baby gate so he can't leave the t.v. room, hallway area, which means I'm also locked in. Nick can still attempt to do his school work but if he needs any help, we end up doing it in the afternoon. Maybe I can go back to sleep from about 6 til 7:15. I can shower with Ty watching t.v. but not with Jackson here!

My sinuses are bugging me again and a headache was starting so I gave in and took the Benadryl/ Sudaphed generic stuff and 2 aspirin. One of our Ga. moms told me it's been 16 winters ago since we had such a mold/ mildew problem. We're to have some 20 degree weather later this week and that should kill it!

I had to give it up too and hunt down the allegra, Diane. It hasn't helped enough and I'm so stopped up that I broke down and took half a dose of Sudafed. Here's hoping I don't fall asleep from it.

Right now I'm sitting here in front of the computer because I can't breathe enough to be physically active. I get winded very easily when I'm like this.

Most of the laundry is done though, even sorted! [IMG] Even though I didn't get everything done that I wanted to I really don't have to anything else except cook supper.

You really can't get anything done with a toddler in the house. They are just SO busy. Sweet though at that age.
