We only had 16 kids in our Sunday School class which is down for us. I know one was in Fla., one away at Grandma's and one rotates weekends with her divorced parents. The other 6, I have no idea. Church was FULL tho!

Allie, I hope you don't get sick! We've been really blessed this winter.

I slept terribly after getting Ty back to sleep. I've been having such upsetting dreams. I dreamed the doctors told me Jim was dying and I was crying and pleading with God for more time. Then I dreamed someone was in our house and I locked Nick and myself in a room trying to be safe... Not restful at all! Lack of sleep is starting to wear me down. I've not been able to nap in the afternoon for a long time and was so used to a nice nap.

Hope everyone is having a nice day. Did I see a mention of Sue in the rain? Hope not, Sue! Did you and Brent get over those colds?

    Diane

 I just talked with my brother. He eloped this weekend. This is wife number 6! I guess that blows our family average LOLOL. I talked to the new wife. She's only 1 year older than him. [IMG] They work together.

The sun came out! Hope it stays so the children can play outside this afternoon.

Diane, quit eating that spicy food before bedtime and you won't have such a fitful night! ;) You know that hot spicy chicken isn't good before you go to bed!

    Hey ya'll.

I've had quite a busy day today. This morning was RIF distrubution day. We gave away books to about 500 children at my children's elementary school. Some of my help didn't show up, so some of our 5th graders took up the slack. They did such a great job! LOL, my poor help probably forgot it was RIF day. I nearly did in spite of having the books at my house all weekend. I got up this morning just lazing around, not even trying to get myself dressed. Then it dawned on me I was supposed to be at school! Oh well, it is done now and all went very well.

I came home with a nasty headache and have been trying to get rid of it for a couple of hours now. Not even the three ibuprophen I took is helping much. Then T called me to tell me he is working late and said he had a headache too. Wonderful, we probably are both coming down with a virus.

Then I called American Girl, for a doll for Bitsy's birthday and they can't get it to me until the end of March! Problem is her birthday is Sunday. I'll have to see what she wants to do about it when she gets home from school.

Thank goodness I don't have anything else going on today! I've had enough. I need that rest Tony was talking about a couple of days ago. Since T is working late, I might just not cook and put my feet up the rest of the day. Lee's chicken can cook tonight.

The strange dreams come after I get up for Ty and lie back down to try and sleep a few hours more. I sure don't like it!

Made it through the papers and the corner and stayed relatively dry.

Diane; We got over our sniffles, but after being in the rain today, my chest hurts from Bronchitis and Brent's hurts from Asthma. Go figure...

I made Katie's Ribs in the crock pot and they have smelled SO good all day. I am having cold slaw, garlic mashed potatoes, and jello salad to go with them.

Tonight is the night before Fastnacht Day, so I'll be mashing potatoes for PA Dutch donuts.

I'll put some out here in the Coffee House when I get into work, if there are any left! ;)

Time to go home and make the donuts!

I'm going to make Katie's Ribs for Valentine's Day. That's Jim's favorite meal now. Ours too. YUM!

The kids I keep are coughing and sneezing but I've got the windows open today and they played outside most of the afternoon. Tomorrow is my long day tho with Jack.

Ohohoh! I want donuts! Better make two batches!

I think the rain is due here tomorrow. It has been kinda cloudy all day today. At least it is warm.

Diane, a friend of mine suffers from bad dreams so bad that her husband sometimes has to wake her up. I haven't had but two since I was grown. It makes you wonder why some people have them and some don't.

I am having my rest, even though I ended up with an extra kid. I told them they had to be quiet and stay out of my room. Bitsy got to come in because she had quite a bit of homework. She is taking a break and then we'll have to study her math. She is not doing well in math.

Believe it or not, vivid and bad dreams come during menopause. It's amazing how that changes everything!

It's still sunny here and 60 but strong rains are forecast for tonight and the rest of the week!

I am going to bed and read for awhile. I don't usually have that luxury, but even hubby said I needed to get off the computer, forget everything, and just relax (and hopefully get rid of this headache that has been hanging on for a couple of days).

Seems like everytime I get run down, I get Bronchitis. Hubby and I are both off work Presidents Day and he offered to give me a 'day off' at home' to do whatever I wanted as long as it wasn't work. That's sweet, but it would probably drive me crazy (I know short trip) .

    Pleasant dreams all!

Blackbird says----if he's robbin' a bank in his sleep---don't wake him up until right before he gets caught----he's gonna see how much of the "dough" he can spend before the "coppers" close in on 'im!!!

Kaw! Kaw! I woke up one night standing in the middle of the bed trying to load my 20 gauge with invisible bullets. Cheryl was a good sport about it. She slept on the couch.

    Good morning all:

32º here with freezing drizzle and 1-2 inches of snow expected late this afternoon or evening.

I think I only read about 10 minutes before falling asleep last night and slept straight through until 4:30 this morning. Felt good!

School work for Brent and more 'de-cluttering' for me today - the usual. I do have to run by the store after I finish the crossing this morning. I'm having polish sausage tonight and I need to buy some sauerkraut.

    Cruising,

No! No! No! Sue! Don't ruin your good sausage with 'kraut!! Get you're "Calling All Cooks" cookbook out and find a good Cajun Gumbo or Red Beans & Rice or Jambalaya recipe----hint:Brent and hubby dear will be glad you did!!

Besides---Blackbird is deathly alergic to the smell of 'kraut!!

My tummy doesn't allow for much Cajun cooking, :( although I HAVE started experimenting with a little curry...

I'm having fried potatoes with onions too. Does that make it better? ;)

Went to Nawlins with some friends a few years back. All we ate were red beens and rice dishes and KK Donuts.

In IL, red beans are kidney beans and I LOVE Kidney Bean Salad.

I could do the KK donuts too. We don't have anyplace that sells them around here and that is probably a GOOD thing!

I miss some of the "Illinois" cooking. Not that Southern cooking is bad...I just miss some Yankee food! ;)

Sue, my adoptive fathers grandmother and aunts and uncles used to keep kraut down in the cellar and would eat it all the time. I love it, but can't get Vivian to eat it.

The closest KK to us is in Nashville, 50+ miles away. We do have some of the stores that carry them, but they're not as good cold!

It's rainy and foggy here this morning. There was a really bad wreck up on Highway 231 this morning at around 3:30. I was hoping it wasn't Vivian, and thank the Lord it wasn't. Several teens in a car ran a red light at the on ramp and were wedged under a semi trailer. The two in the back got out and ran, but were later found and taken to the hospital. The two in the front were exticated after an hour and are in very serious condition. Viv said she passed there at 3:25 this morning, five minutes earlier than usual. Yesterday morning, two people were killed in a wreck on TN Rt 840, and she was almost late to work while they were trying to get LifeFlight there and the folks to the hospital. Vivian was nearly late, as she was just three miles or so behind the accident when it happened. The State police got there before she did, and she was about 1/2 mile from it when traffic came to a stand still. She sat there for almost an hour.

Well, ya'll, keep safe and warm today. Sue, that means especially you and Brent. [IMG]
