Sorry I'm late - I do have to work when I come in!
Fresh PA Dutch fastnachts are available, with and without powdered sugar. There's cinnamon and sugar if you like, too, but I take mine plain! Enjoy!

I'll take one of each, Debby! Too bad I can't handle another cup coffee. I guess a nice cold glass of milk will do.

    Good Morning everyone!

Rainy, rainy, rainy here. It isn't cold though so I don't mind it near as much as usual.

Today is housecleaning day. Since RIF and my headache took up yesterday, I should really get to it, but here I am! Rainy days like this were made for sleeping.........

Good morning everyone. Sort of late checking in. Jack's mom stopped by to say he's sick and my phone was out of order. It didn't affect my DSL but it's back on now or was when I checked. Morgan is out of school sick too. She's got a bad cough and she gets pneumonia once a year. Mom's really concerned so they're taking her to the doctor. Not sure if I'll have her or not. And I could have slept in!

Nick and I are doing some 'spring cleaning' so we've been very busy. He's helping really well hoping I'll forget about school. [IMG]

I have had a busy morning already!

I have been decluttering like crazy and then posting the items to give away on FreeCycle. I actually have a couple of empty drawers in my kitchen cabinets now and the things have already been picked up!

I figure Spring housecleaning will be a lot easier if the things I never use, or have duplicates of, are gone...

Brent is on his last subject for today, "Bible Study", and then he will help me declutter some more.

I just wish it would get warm. We have SO much to do outside. Oh well, by the time it gets warm, the inside should be clean and I won't have to feel guilty about spending time outdoors! [IMG]

    Mine too Allie!

I love to plant flowers every year and this year we will have a veggie garden.

I love flower gardening but I cannot overcome this horrible red clay! I had looked into buying some soil for one of the flower bed areas but they would have brought me.... more red clay! I sure do miss the rich black dirt of Connecticut but I'd never move back to a liberal area.

So the phone company sends me an email telling me the problem with my phone has to do with a piece of equipment inside my home BUT my phone came back on before their email. They have a list of what I need to do to fix my problem. LOLOL

Sounds like you have "BellSouth"! Thank the Lord we're through with them and have United Telephone. They still owe us money, and we're waiting for the GA Public Service Commission to finish with them on our complaint for 18 months of charges @$30.00 a month over what they should have been. Glad you got your phone back on, though, Diane.

It's partly cloudy here, but warming up. It's over 60. I am going to turn the heat off when I leave the computer. It's not kicked on for a while. The low tonight is only supposed to be 50 or so.

Viv said she's coming home early again today. Most of her crew has already gone home, but she told them she was staying until 2pm, even if it meant pushing a broom. She's a trooper!~

Diane, speaking of the red Georgia clay, when Viv and I were working in construction, we had it on us day and night, especially when it rained. I was glad to get away from that and move back to Minnesota, later Illinois again, and then to Tennessee where the dirt is brown and dark and rich! [IMG] Supposed to have a veggie garden this year and try to do some landscaping once it warms up fully. I also have to stain the deck. I'm really looking forward to some of this yard work, though it might take me a while to get things done. [IMG]

I love TN soil. Maybe we can give you TN soil in your GA yard!!! I'm not sure what plants and flowers work good with red clay but there has to be some.

Howdy yall from soggy Mississippi! My girls are having trouble sleeping tongiht, so they are in here with me watching Little Mermaid II. Dh just came in from exercising, and he smells like a goat.

LAst Thursday, our stove blew up (literally) and it will still be another WEEK from Wednesday before the new one will be in. Somehow, the oven was connected too, so thats also out. We have been getting creative with the toaster, electric griddle and a camping propane burner. Been eating out some, too. [IMG]
Other than that, things are swell around here. Yall rest good tonight!

    Good morning all:

WOW Tater! Did you have a gas leak? I would like to have a new stove as this one is at least 30 years old, but it is SO wide (and fits in the space between the cabinets and the sink perfectly) that it would probably cost a fortune to replace it.

It is 30º here with an expected high of 30º today and more snow. We got about an inch last night. It will be 22º tonight with 30º for a high again tomorow.

Where oh where is Spring?

Doing more de-cluttering today and giving it away. School gets out early today so we will have to adjust the paper route time and work around it.

    Cruising,

    Good morning everyone:

Got up at 2am as usual with Vivian and got her off to work by 3am. She said today it was "smooth sailing" into Lebanon, TN. She said that there was a LOT of sand where the major accident was yesterday.

It was 55 when we got up, and the temp is now 49, and is supposed to keep dropping all day and night until it's between 29 and 35. With all this is coming rain and snow (I hope it doesn't freeze, because if it does, Vivian will either be staying home, or I will have to drive up to Lebanon and wait all day for her).

Other than all that, things here are going well. Trying to get the office set up and all the piles of papers and magazines up off the floor in the living room and into their designated cubby holes.

Ya'll behave and keep WARM and dry today. [IMG]

Sue, we dont have gas. Well, sometimes dh does... [IMG] Naw, we have electric so fortunately no gas leak. The dimensions precut into the counter and cabinet are smaller than modern day appliances fit into, so thats the hold up.

I am excited about the new appliances, even though they aren't really "ours". This year, it seems everything has given up the ghost - the "fre-ridgerator" as the girls say, the dishwasher (which hasnt worked in the 5 years we've lived here - I just didnt mention it b/c I could live without it) and 2 hot water heaters. I guess they all lasted a good while!

Oh, and they are going to put in hardwood floors, too!
